Finally an alien-action-adventure-romance book that I didn't feel the need to skip through any parts! The action was the perfect amount, no overkill. The confusion on both sides was humorous, and touching at times. Easily able to feel a connection with both h & h!

I absolutely could not stand the hero. He was overbearing, condescending, and arrogant. He never improved. He learned no lessen, and somehow it became the heroine that needed to change to suit his chauvinistic attitude. Don't play a lady up to be tough and independent, then have her treated so disparagingly and accept it as her do. Lame.

I liked the idea for this book - having people from two different cultures be forced to accept each other. Maybe it could have been good, but it just wasn't. Part of the reason I disliked the book is that I just didn't like the hero or the heroine. She was immature and rude and completely unaccepting of his different culture. (She also constantly made references to 20th and 21st century pop culture. It irritates me enormously when scifi authors do that in books set in the future. Someone hundreds of years from now will not be able reference terrible movies from the 1980s. It just seems like a cheap trick to add humor. And, unfortunately, the author doesn't even do it well, since the frequent references add absolutely nothing to the story.) The hero was also completely set in his ways and didn't accept the heroine's cultural differences either.

Although the characters told said, "I love you," to each other, I have no idea why. There seemed to be nothing between them except sexual attraction. They had a lot of conflict, but they never really resolved it, except with sex. The heroine, in addition to her pop culture references, spoke almost entirely in slang that the hero (obviously) couldn't understand. I think we were supposed to find this funny, but it just made me dislike the heroine for her inability to make allowances for someone from a different background.

Basically, this book was just consisted of bad writing about sex and arguments between the hero and heroine. I'm giving two stars rather than one, because I kind of liked one of the side characters and because it wasn't offensively awful.

Her life is boring until his ship lands needing repairs. She doesn't understand his culture, language and customs but the mutual attraction is undeniable. They face some initial challenges but eventually find some common bonds.

CAUTION. SPOILERS. i really like sci-fi romance, so i had great hopes for this book, then i read it... i was annoyed from the onset that the female character's intelligence, and ingenuity didn't match up with her sass. i did like her sass, attitude, and sarcasm. i really tried to overlook the cultural differences between the 2 main characters because it was annoying, and sometimes makes the end result better, but it didn't overall. yes, they did resolve some things but not enough to make me feel it was worth getting through it. the male lead was also flat, the only thing we learned about him was he's royalty and fights too much. and he likes to leave her high and dry without resources to help herself. how are they destined mates? also, warn your reader if your planning to throw in bdsm elements like tieing hands and spanking. some of us not only dislike it but HATE it. and spanking as a punishment? why are you getting into age play type stuff? personally, someone that tried to do that to me would be missing fingers or more. warn me do i can skip your book!
overall, if you got rid of the spanking and mutiple (way too many) mentions of it, it would be much better. suggestions: make her smarter, him more understanding, no spanking, have more comradery between characters. there isn't enough sex scenes to make this a book all about that, but there's barely enough of anything else to make it an enjoyable read! beef it up! i suggest you take some cues from ruby dixon, mk eidem, celia kyle, and anna carven.

A Strong willed young earth woman gets hung out to dry by her colleagues when the big bad alpha aliens show up at the space base where she is employed.
Big bad nasty prince Dex takes one look at her and decides she is his life mate. Zoey spends a lot of time trying to fight his declarations but its no use. Dex doesn't accept no for an answer, and he wants her to become a good little demure wifey, but Zoey isn't going to go quietly. Sparks fly before they finally mate.
In the Middle of all this, their ship gets blasted out of the sky by other alien enemies.
Lots of tongue in cheek fun dialogue in this book. I enjoyed reading it very much and look for more books by this author. There were a number of misspellings and wrong words used but not to distraction.

I liked this well enough. The story had some interesting twists. The story line was disjointed - they were here, this happened, they were there, that happened. I don't like scripts where the male is always threatening corporal punishment & I don't like spanking scenes, especially ones where the woman is bruised then falls on the guy in sexual hunger - ugh. I don't find that sexy at all. Both the primary male & female characters seemed immature in their responses - another issue.
The plus side - the sequel moves the storyline forward & the teaser was very interesting. I don't know that I'll remember to look for the sequel a couple of months from now...

Nice sci-fi romance with some comedy rolled in. Not the best, certainly not the worst I have read. The biggie is that there is no attempt at the hero getting to know the heroine, leaving the reader to assume he is incapable of noting Zoey's past, present, and future as being significant other than how that affects him. Lead characters need to have empathy for each other. This may be a failure on the part of the writer, otherwise the reader is left to hope Dex will get killed off and a new hero will become Zoey's leading man. I point this out because when the woman who you've treated like dog poop risks her life to get you saved, it's disheartening not to read the hero being in awe but instead beating her and continuing to tell her she is not up to you or your people's standards. Also, better editing would be fine. One glaring example, if your hands are tied up you can't be using them. Just saying.

Fairly generic. I shudder to think what Zoey's life will be like once they reach his planet, given the descriptions of their society and the way he expects her to act. There is one really eye-rolling plot device that really didn't work for me. I also didn't care for the fact that Dex "punishes" her--and it's not fun time spankings either. The ending is very abrupt and almost a cliffhanger. I don't plan to follow up with the rest of the series. Not a bad book but not something that really did it for me either.

Some of the series is offered on kindle unlimited but not all. It's random. The series is not worth paying for. Zoey is annoy and immature. Dax is over possessive and unyeiding. Also: all the popular Earth saying are stupid in a scifi book.

Title: Alien Warrior
Series: Zerconian Warriors
Designation: Book One, Novella With Happy For Now With Cliffhanger
Author: Sadie Carter
Reading Platform: Kindle Unlimited
My Rating: FOUR DELICIOUSLY CUTE STARS *****
Wow! Color me impressed! What an absolutely delightful fun filled adventure! Alien Warrior is the first release in the Zerconian Warrior Series by Sadie Carter and it totally rocks. From what I understand, this is Carter 's first foray into the world of science fiction and I, for one, hope it's not her last! The story is imaginative, well crafted, exciting, original, humorous, romantic and arousing. It's witty, well developed. well written and flows effortlessly. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging, sexy as sin and at times, laugh out loud funny. Our male protagonist of the story had a very strong and totally domineering persona but I found that this trait fit well with the story especially since he was an alien only following the traditions of his culture and totally unfamiliar with earth women and customs. I absolutely loved the concept of the story as well as the snappy banter, sexual attraction and interaction between the hero and heroine. There were a few errors but overall, it was well done. If you love adventure, romantic comedy and science fiction, then you will adore this book.
For sixty years Zerconian warrior Prince Dexanon Xa’a has searched for his mate but never in his wildest dreams did he ever expect to find her when his warship makes an emergency landing at a small outpost in the middle of nowhere space. But find her he does and she's certainly less than he expected for a Zerconian Prince but far more than he could have ever dreamed! She's an Earther - a human female who steals not only the very breath from his lungs but also his patience! Huh? Doesn't she realize what an honor it is to be his mate? What? Oh yes, Zoey is quite the luscious creature and also brave, courageous, sassy, snarky, obstinate and stubborn. Just your average earth girl! And unfortunately, she has no intention of being charmed or kidnapped by a huge, handsome, domineering and very bossy barbarian! Or does she? Oh my! And what's this mate thing he keeps going on about? Mates? She's nobody's mate! What does that even mean? Now, if she can just figure out how to get down from this flying bed! Oh my goodness! Sparks fly! Attraction builds! Passion flares! Get ready for a battle of wills! But, all's well that ends well, right??? Well, that's a matter of opinion! Absolutely hilarious!
***The book does end in somewhat of a cliffhanger so be forewarned. I can hardly wait to see what happens next! Bring on Book Two Sadie Carter! Deliciously cute, fabulously funny, seriously sexy and delightfully entertaining.

Alien Warrior is a funny, light and erotic science fiction romance. The author has the requisite alpha male alien in Dec, and he has dominate issues. His bed is a living entity that can help in pleasure giving, and happens to float. Aladdin might be missing his magic carpet.
Zoey is the 'earth girls are easy' heroine, but Zoey isn't easy; in fact her snark is golden. If the heroine would no have been so funny the book could have been a disaster.
The book is only one hundred and twenty pages long and it was a quick read. Honestly I would have liked to have had Zoey's life before her alien encounter fleshed out a bit. There are a few continuity errors as Zoey can seem to remember how old she is.
I read this book as part of my kindle unlimited subscription and yes because it was so light and funny I do recommend it.
The sexual scenes seemed to try to be a little too smutty in the descriptive words.

I definitely enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the on-going adventures of Zoey and Dex. Good insight on how we all take for granted our culture around us, and our expectations of others automatically knowing why we react and live the way we do. I always enjoy humor within my stories and this one has an abundance of it. Truly surprised that this is this authors first book on the store, although little editing issues were evident, the writing was very well done, better than some authors out there with multiple books.

Excellent story with a really funny Earth female and very Alpha Zerconian male. Zoey is extremely funny and quick witted. She loves to use old earth slang and movie references for her insults and is very much a strong female character. Crown Prince Dexanon Xa'a (Dex) is very much a typical Alpha male who wants nothing more to protect and love his mate, Zoey. There is a slow build to their relationship, Dex has decided he wants to keep Zoey because he knows she is his mate. However Zoey being human has her doubts and is not the type of woman (1) who likes be told what to do and (2) is not simpering or prissy but instead a woman of action. The story is sweet and also amazingly funny. I really enjoy a story than can make me laugh out loud. At the start because Zoey didn't know any of the Zerconian males' names she decided to give them nicknames. Hence why I found it so amusing when she would call Dex's best friend and bodyguard, Koran, "Grumpy" and his cousin and the ship's chief healer, Thor, "Happy"!! The sex was really hot and amazing. I am an animal lover so the end with Giz was especially adorable and a definite "awww" moment. I am hoping the next in the series Alien Lover is either about Thor (Happy) or Koran (Grumpy) and equally funny and sexy. Great work Sadie Carter!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read alot of paranormal romances and most of them are the same ole' same ole' blah blah. This one has a similar story line, but I like when the characters have interaction with each other. There is banter back and forth. Makes it a little more like real life, even though its pure fiction. Sex is a must in these stories, but just enough so that it doesnt overwhelm the whole story.

I really disapprove of overly alpha males, especially ones that expect their women to behave completely submissively. When he left her to die in their chambers, I was very disappointed by him. That didn't seem like the actions of a dedicated mate.

But both of them grew to compromise with one another, so that was great. I'm looking forward to the sequel, so I know that I enjoyed this book.

The story started off good, but soon fizzled when the main characters became involved with each other. The heroine was immature, whiney, and over used colloquialism that no one from another world would actually understand. I suppose they were used to add humor to the story which is often found in other sci-fi romance novels. The hero was okay, but lacked any real depth.

The characters in this series are fun and draw you in making you love them and their odd quirks. The story line is great and is smooth flowing. The author draws you into the lives of these characters and makes you love and care about them. I have not been able to put the books down.

After suffering through a long string of badly written novels, I read this one. How refreshing. It was interesting, funny, and had good world-building. It definitely kept my attention, even when I was supposed to be sleeping! Great read. You won't be disappointed. Just wish it had been longer! I'll keep a look out for more of her books!

This book was action packed and sexy. I loved how the author made Zoey so animated...it is refreshing. I wish the story was longer bc I was sucked in from the start and want more. The characters are awesome! Describing the culture was amazing and I am anxious to learn if Zoey experiences culture shock on her mate's home planet. And this book was very very sexy. I like the "heat" thing she experiences and am looking forward to seeing that again.

I brought this book because the synopsis has promise unfortunately it failed big time. The heroine was an immature, whining brat and the hero was an arrogant, over bearing jerk. They are both from different cultures and different worlds, so instead of talking and making allowances for each other backgrounds, she pouts and he blisters. It was too much. They only thing they have in common is sex. The "I love you" were entirely too fast and quick and I didn't see substance to support the sudden declaration of love. Most of the time in the book, he left her alone in the quarters to he could fight various crew members because he wasn't getting laid. She spent more time with the guards than to his so-called mate. I would have give this book a one star review but I liked Koran and Thor.
