Book 1, Beneath This Mask: The Beneath Series

I liked and enjoyed Beneath This Mask. I think its a really good start to the series and I loved the characters and their story. I really loved the character of Con and can't wait to read his story. This is a great read and I cant wait to get into the rest of the series.

I was fortunate enough to receive an eARC of Beneath This Mask, and let me tell you I really enjoyed it. Charlie's story isn't one that we've read before. It packs a mean punch, but it also holds that feeling of hope. And hope isn't the only thing that keeps this story alive. Nope. A certain swoony Mister also brings some interesting greatness to the table, and his name is Simon.

This was a quick and sweet read. I really LOVED the interactions between Charlie and Simon. It felt real, and it gave me butterflies. If you are in the mood for a quick feel good book, Beneath This Mask, is definitely for you!!

I've always thought the tattooed guy and the seemingly straight laced girl was a hot combination...and now I know that the reverse, with a tattooed girl and seemingly straight laced guy, is just as sexy. The chemistry between these two was fun to watch, especially when things got steamy. Things got a little slow towards the end and I wanted to see more after the resolution of the book, which is why I rated 4 stars versus 5 stars. This was my first time reading anything from this author and I will be reading more from her in the future.

Another great read by Meghan March. Yes, I am reading out of order, but that's OK. You can do that with this series without being lost. I loved Simon and Charlie. Charlie is running from a past. No one knows her secrets. She had no intention of having a relationship, but she couldn't resist Simon. Simon was the son of a former politician. He was expected to follow in his fathers footsteps and run for senator. He was going to go through with it and then he's hit with Charlie's past. Scandal hits and he changes his mind. I won't give anything else away. You must read it to find out.

this story was very interesting. we meet Charlie who is trying to make a life for her self after the truth of her father comes out. while she is starting over in hiding she falls for Simon. Can she finally be free? Can she get her life back or will it all fall apart?

Enjoyable read. was hard to believe that someone could stay hidden that long. But Charlie had to establish a new identity because of the crimes her father committed. Simon was one alpha male who could have any one he wanted but stood by her even if she refused to tell him of her past.
Lots of drama and emotions keeping me on my toes.

Charlie and Simon were perfection. Charlie had a past that she was running from and of course she stumbles across Simon who needs his past to stay clear. But he falls for her. So many twists and turns and in the end I was cheering for Charlie so hard since she had just had a rough time. I’m already hooked on this series!

This story just grabbed me. I loooved Charlie and Simon from the beginning to the end. This author made you feel what they were feeling and understand their reasoning even when you didn't agree. And the love between them is sizzling hot! Wow! Can't wait to read the next in the series.

Now that I have completed the entire Beneath Series, I have come back to post a review. This is one of my favorite series, I love how each book is a different story but also how each of the stories get incorporated together. This is a great start to the series, and trust me you'll want to read them all by the time you're done with this book.

Meghan March hooked me with the Ruthless King trilogy, and has definitely ensnared me with this series. She writes beautifully, and certainly knows how to build up the sexual tension! I loved Charlie and Simon's story, and can tell by the sample that I'm going to enjoy Conand Vanessa's story.

Great storytelling and attention to detail. Charlie is a great character, a strong female lead. Simon is a good balance to her. In like the way it's written, each chapter from a different perspective. You love all the characters and want to know more about them all. Huck sounds adorable. Glad he was such a big part. Quick read but definitely could not put it down. I bought the rest of the series. Excited to have found another great writer for my collection.

What a fabulous, enticing and positively sexy story.
This is the second book I've read by Meghan March and I really enjoyed it. I thought the tension created between Simon and Charlie was amazing and really hot. I loved the fact that Simon wasn't going to take no for an answer and didn't back off for one moment. Charlie was his mate and that's all there was to it.
Didn't put this book down at all in the 3 hours it took to read it. ( yes 3 hours) it's that good.
I love the visual effect Ms. March takes you on. New Orleans was a great back-drop for this story.

Faithful , possessive, protective and likable hero who falls head over heals for the heroine. Not afraid to go after what he wants , which is the heroine. He catches her and hot sexy times commence. Enough drama to keep it interesting but not so much that it distracts from the romance. Decent ending.

Secrets, running, hiding. It had all of these things. Having to hide yourself is never easy.
Then you meet a man who you decide it would not be in his best interest to get involved with you. Thankfully he didn't see it that way.
This is an awesome read, you know s*** will hit the fan at one point and you're dying to know how and if they can come back from it.
Is it going to be worth it in the end????

Some writers just know how to write. And Ms. March is one of those writers. Each charActer was well developed and likeable. I fell in love with Simon, I think because of his overwhelming honesty, and his passion for Charlie. I couldn't believe he made her wait! The "conclusion" was done right. I can't see how Charlie could have moved on any other way. And it was "real". Not storybook fantasy. Very good storytelling.

This book was everything that I expected it to be. Excitement, love, heartbreak, triumph, scandal and all the elements that it took to write this story. I was surprised. I was mad. I was emotional. I was happy. Every emotion imaginable, I experienced reading this book. Looking forward to next in line.

This book hits all the right buttons. The characters are so well-written that they have a presence all of their own. The locations come to life, and the chemistry and dynamics between the characters makes you feel as if you're there, watching it play out in real life.
Definitely one for the "Keeper" collection.

I was more than pleasantly surprised that this is a new author and the quality of writing. The story is realistic and draws you in instantly. You are compelled to see what happens next between the characters. The author manages to truly make the reader feel sympathy toward both characters, even though there is some dishonesty involved on one side. This is one of those books you will have a difficult, if not impossible, time putting down until you are finished.

This is a great series. I am reading beneath these scars now and Meghan's books are very compelling. The story line continues from book to book and I like how it is based in New Orleans and how each book touches the next or previous one in one way or another. Very good reading.

Holy hotness this was awesome. Charlie & Simon took me through one hell of a ride and it was worth the read. I loved it from beginning to end, the suspense, romance and all around plot held my attention and kept me wanting more and I would definitely recommend this to any of my fellow bookworms.

Great writing,great characters, main and secondary.
This was a beginning of the series and the stories are worth the read. Hooks you and reels you in.
I would say this writer is one you don't need to overlook.

Charlie and Simon are both lovable characters and their story could only take place in New Orleans. I've read this book many times, and it is still one of my favorites. Don't miss this book or the rest of this series.

Intriguing story how someone would survive when their afflutent life imploded. Also scary when trying to do the right thing red tape & entitled dewbs can get you beaten & locked up in solitary.

The sadness, isolation, mistrust and then hope dripped from the pages drawing me in so I too was waiting anxiously.

I read Beneath This Ink book 2 first & will defiantly be looking for more of Meghan March's work.

I really enjoyed this book! You have an independent, strong woman - Charlie. She keeps to herself and doesn't bring a lot of attention to her, but her appearance is striking! Sleeved tattoos, sexy and artful!
Then there is our Simon! *swoon!*. A man who knows what he wants and goes after it.
I like this book a lot and will get the others to continue on this series.

Five glorious stars for this amazing, beautiful story of deception and eventually . . . Love. Simon and Charlie keep you on a roller coaster that will give you whiplash. This read will not disappoint!

Another great author to add to my list! Loved the struggle (totally hate the Kindle auto correct while typing this review???,grr) between the heroine and the utter devotion and love of the hero! Could not put this down! Kudos!
