I really like how the brothers took turns writing chapters while the other brother added notes. Very insightful on what drives them and more of a personal inside view of their lives so far. So glad I read this book.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and being amazed at the very unique (seems to me, anyway) early lives you have both had, and it seems to continue on even now. It was great to learn so much more than we the viewers of your shows, could ever guess the truth from just watching you. I loved the journalistic stories, as well as "meeting" your other family members, food friends, and even possible future family members. You even wrote about your dogs! That reveals how loving you are, if you can love a pet. Will definitely recommend this book to my friends. In fact we talked about this book at Bingo tonight!lol

Bought this book for my Mom because she loves watching their program (well, OK, we both like watching). This book is more about their personal lives rather than their first book, which reflected the business and design part of their show.

Often hilarious, surprisingly deep and honest. Love this book for giving me the backstory of the Property Brothers' success as well as an unvarnished look inside their personal lives. Great in-depth detail about devastating divorce, bankruptcy and robbery, plus fun anecdotes from behind-the-scenes of their TV shows, etc. Fun, gratifying read. Buying a few to tuck away as Christmas gifts now!

Insightful and telling of their history, background, morals and strong and inspiring beliefs.

Don't worry, I know the sample audio doesn't sound like them, that's because it's their father's voice as part of the intro.

My wife and I have watched nearly all of your Original series on HGTV and love the premise and your banter. Your telling personalities made me want to know more about how you were raised and your background. I learned about the book when I just happened to see you on the today show and was happy I did. Bought it the same day and just finished listening to it a couple days later. I really enjoy narration by authors, I recommend the Magnolia Story by the Gaines for an equally strong and entertaining story.

Thank You for opening up and sharing things that may feel embarrassing or vulnerable but it has helped me and made an impact on me and I'm sure will resonate with many other fans. Wish you the best and congratulations on finding your partners!

Entertaining, and fascinating, Jonathan and Drew Scott, aka The Property Brothers, take you on a self-guided tour of their lives, with a little dabbling into the lives of their sibling JD, Mom and Pop, and their sweethearts. It is fun to see how their competitiveness with self and with sibling makes them a force to be reckoned with. Pursuing a whole range of talents from magician, to actor, sport pursuits, and the sidelight of flipping homes, one watches their success and rise to fame. Well worth the humorous read.

The light-hearted banter between Jonathan and Drew flowed throughout the book. They shared stories of their childhood, tales of their troubles pre-HGTV, and behind the scenes information once they became huge stars!

The sarcastic duo's voices were pleasant to listen to, and surprisingly their personalities projected the same in the audio book as they do on tv. Even their brother, girlfriend, fiance and parents had cameos, cementing in my mind that these two characters are the real deal. No fluff added to their multiple tv shows. They are who they are!

This book was a pleasure to listen to and I especially loved hearing about their life prior to fame. I won't give away any spoilers! The only complaint I have about the audio version is that sometimes I forgot who was actually talking! They sound the same!

If you enjoy Jonathan and Drew Scott on television, you will enjoy hearing (or reading) this memoir, I guarantee it!

A fascinating look at the lives of my favourite on-screen personalities. I love how each guy gets to comment on his brother's chapters. It's hilarious! The stories prove that what you read about them in the media is true - they are kind, loyal men who put their family and friends first.
It was also so interesting to learn how they became so successful. Spoiler alert! They worked really, really, really, really hard.

After reading this, my respect and admiration for this pair has grown. Such honest, down-to-earth values these guys have. Good read as they provide a look into their past and how it made them what they are today. Enjoyed how the book's chapters were set up for each twin and the banter (comments) between them.
