This was a change for Stephanie, she said she was trying to reacquaint us with the characters in this book and she did. She also did a great job of having two heroines pregnant throughout the book.
I always like Stephanie and I love her series books, will look forward to the next one.

This novella had it all. A little mystery, a little romance and some time spent catching up with some well loved characters.

While it was short, it was not rushed. The story flowed nicely and the mystery kept me interested.

It was typical SL, a bit too wordy but still a great story. And the last line in this book is priceless!

I look forward to reading more of Barnaby's Case Files.

I have read everything Stephanie Laurens has written (I think) She used to be my favorite author but her last few books have seemed very different from her earlier books---not near as compelling or interesting. This could have been written by a high school student. I am done with this author!
The Complete Guide to all 59 National Parks (Second edition) :: The United States Marines Against Japan - Strong Men Armed :: The Yearling :: The Yearling (Scribner Classics) by Rawlings - Marjorie Kinnan (2013) Hardcover :: The Lady's Command (The Adventurers Quartet)

I would recommend this book only to someone who had never read any of her Bastian Club books or The Count Breckenridge series
This book had too many other people as the heros and no real adventure in my opinion
