The series just gets better... do you self a favor and sit right down with a good cuppa (insert favorite drink here) and curl up beside the ole fireplace and get to know these 'complete bunch of nutters'.

I like time travel stories. This series offers (mostly) historically accurate glimpses of actual events, plus adventures with consistent, well-developed characters instead of predictable romance-novel storylines. And I love that the hero is a heroine!
The Chronicles of St. Mary's Book Two - A Symphony of Echoes :: The Chronicles of St. Mary's Book Seven - Lies - Damned Lies :: The Nothing Girl (The Frogmorton Farm Series) :: A Time Travel Adventure (The Downstream Diaries Book 1) :: The Chronicles of St. Mary's Book Eight - And the Rest Is History

The first one was good, and left me to want to know what's next. I did become invested in the characters, which let me to read the next 4. ... The 6th installment was released last week, which I have already purchased. We will see is I am begging for more...

I just finished reading all of the books and short stories over the last few days and they are fabulous. A bit of history; some implausible, and therefore great, situations; a marvelous romp, although the description is a little bit of a cliche. Nothing really describes the series because it doesn't really fit into a category. I wouldn't call these books sci first because the how of the time travel is mostly irrelevant. They aren't mysteries exactly and the romance lies somewhere on the British stiff upper lip scale, there but incidental. I guess you would put them in the fantasy category but the history is obviously well researched and there are no fantastical creatures or beings. The books are in a category of their own and how amazing is that? There are very few authors these days that can claim to be in their own self created genre and not sound pretentious. Kudos to Jodi Taylor for being one of them. Please keep writing.

The latest installment in The Chronicles of St. Mary’s time-travel series finds the gang engaged in further new historical mishaps and threats from old enemies.

Superficially, these novels bear a strong resemblance to Connie Willis’ Oxford Time-Travel series. However, they are considerably different in plotting and tone. They have some good humor and snark. I would call them “cozy SF” (along the same lines as “cozy mysteries”). Avid historians seem to find the inconsistencies in them untenable, but I just kind of roll with them and enjoy them, and it makes for an enjoyable evening of reading.

I put off listening to this (audible) even though I had bought it the day it came out for two reasons: 1) once listened to it might be a long wait for book seven, and 2). Could Jodi Taylor deliver?
Well, not sure when book seven will be out but Jodi Taylor delivered! I really don't want to give anything away, which is why I didn't read any reviews. But I will say that I love, love, love the new characters. Some of the other books had become a bit tense and dark with such nasty villains and broken hearts, and is book was just a breath of fresh air for the series and will be able to carry the series forward brilliantly.

Jodi Taylor has unique gift of character development and I can't imagine any other narrator for the series than Zara Ramm. I cannot wait to see what is store for the St Mary's gang.

Why has this not been made a movie or series?!

I absolutely loved the new characters that joined the crew in this book! Their added dynamic was great, and brought about a whole new storyline that was just as fun and exciting as the rest of this series. And as always, I can't wait to read the next one!

I wish I could give a book more than 5 stars because I would definitely give more to this one (and honestly, probably a few of the others in this series, as well). Absolutely fabulous. Exactly what I have come to expect from Jodi Taylor and the folks at St. Mary's. This is an absolutely brilliant series. And, as usual, wonderfully narrated by Zara Ramm. If you haven't started this series, please do so, you won't be sorry (and be certain to start with book 1).

This is the first book I've read by Jodi Miller. It has it all...terrific plotting, humor, on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense, humor, sadness, wonderful descriptive language, biting wit...and humor! To say I enjoyed this is an understatement. It deserves 10 stars. I'm now off to read every every book in the series.

These just get funnier and funnier. I love this series, so much so that I'm planning to re-read book one as soon as I finish. I don't believe I've ever done that with a series before.

This one has half a dozen bad words and no intimate scenes that I recall.

Love this series! I just have one question and maybe it's because I'm American, but what the HECK is going on across the pond?? Why are the borders closed?? Did Donald Trump win? (God of Historians forbid) I hope that's answered at some point. I also got really excited at first when they said one of the trainees was American.... then he's not -_-

But can't stop with these books! I finish one and move directly to the next. Addicting!

What? Predictable only because after several of the series, the unpredictable is to be expected. Great premise, great stories, great writing, fast, fun, jus wish there were more. "And that's where everything went wrong." Nuff said.

All the books in the st Mary's series are excellent read the first and could not stop until all 5 were read and the next one pre ordered, not often an author comes along that holds that kind of interest with me, try Jodi and keep them coming!

As a writer, Jodi Taylor is a cross between Robert Heinlein and Janet Evanovich. Imagine Stephanie Plum as the protagonist of "Time for the Stars" and you'll have some idea of how delightful her books are. Read and enjoy.

This series is great, and this book is no exception. It's light-hearted, but full of surprises. I laughed out loud several times throughout the book. I would definitely recommend that everyone starts with the first novel in the series. Once you do, you won't stop until they're all read!

By now, with only one book left in the series after this gem, I am already starting to feel sad that I am going to finish the 7 books and have to wait months until I can next visit St. Mary's . Seriously sad.

Very likeable characters. The Author doesn't dwell too much on setting, and yet you feel like you're there with them. The book was a fun read. I enjoyed it a lot. Can't wait for the next in the series.

I love Max and St. Mary's but this one was slow to get started. Once it did though, it was great. I would have liked more of Leon but he was in and out so we knew their marriage was going well. The trainees were interesting and the twist makes it a good thing they get tested. Who would expect one to jump off to change history.....but we know that isn't possible. It was a good read with a very big surprise at the end. Book 7 should be interesting.
