I love the books in the Women of the Otherworld series, my favorites being Bitten, Stolen, and Haunted. In her seventh in the series, we have the celebrity necro, Jaime Vegas, who is invited to a house in LA for a TV production on raising spirits. She finds an ulterior motive for the production though and also finds herself trying to escape too much attention being who she is, a member of a council that supervises mortals & otherworldly beings. There is plenty of plot driven intrigue and sexy altercations [her love interest is a werewolf] here to keep fans satisfied and draw new readers in. I am already looking forward to her next instalment in the series.

So I had been anticipating this book once I knew it was coming out, ran out and bought it the day it came out. Read it in two days in which I skipped the gym, violin practice, but didn't skip work although if possible I would have to read this book. It was great, excellent, in fact I had a very hard time putting it down to go to bed. I had been waiting for a Jeremy and Jamie story and it was perfect. Although I thought it was to short I just wanted it to keep going. All I can say after reading this book is to plead to Kelly Armstrong to write another with those two so we can see how their relationship progresses and to see Jamie become more involved with the council and more comfortable with her abilities.

Kelley Armstrong's latest novel in the"Women of the Otherworld"series is her first hardcover offering. Main character, Jaime Vegas is working with two other professional psychics on a television program attempting to make contact with the ghost of Marilyn Monroe. In addition, Jaime is meeting up with her long time crush, Jeremy Danvers, Alpha of the werewolf Pack.

Jaime and her "psychic friends" have agreed to live together while filming their television special and are forced by producers to "make contact" with various other dead starlets as practice. Jamie finds trouble quickly in the form of a mysterious presence in the back yard of their temporary quarters. Plagued by unwanted ghosts, backstabbing coworkers and devious producers, Jaime is determined to solve the mystery herself and to try not to need rescuing, again.

Jamie attempts to prove her value to the council and Jeremy enjoys his time without his usual bodyguards while investigating rumors of child sacrifice and humans practicing magic. It has many favorite characters making appearances and helping our duo, as well as a very steamy scene with our main characters. The reader is as in the dark as the main characters keeping you guessing as to the identity of the bad guys. Through the whole investigation Jaime is working on her television program, knowing it's her shot at fame.

Overall a good read, entertains and advances the plot in the series. Although you can read this book independent of the series, you will experience less confusion if you've read the first six. Yes, I said "less" because this book is a bit jumpy. The story fits the series but the style and tone feels more like Dime Store Magic than Bitten, Broken or Stolen No less entertaining and funnier than others in the series. A good read but lighter than her earlier novels. Perfect for a summer read.

Kelley Armstrong did it again. An amazing book.
Jaime Vegas is a TV Spiritualist, but what her fans don't know is that she truly can see spirits. When Jaime gets a job offer that would make her career, she invites her crush, and the werewolf alpha, Jeremy Danvers to join her in California. She moves into a home with two other TV Spiritualists and the taping begins. But what Jaime finds in the garden of her new home will rock her world and shape her future.

I truly enjoyed this installment of Women of the Otherworld. Each story Armstrong weaves drags me even more into this fascinating and believable world. I particularly liked that Jamie wasn't some 25 year old nymphette who caught Jeremy's interest. She's a wonderfully mature woman, with life experiences that make her story rich and enjoyable.

Brava!

I pre-ordered as soon as possible and couldn't get it fast enough! What a wonderful reason to wait. It was all around an excellent read. Ms. Armstrong has never let me down like other writers and I will anxiously await the next book. She stays true to herself and her characters. They feel like family now! I would've loved to seen where J/J's relationship is heading, but I guess that's another reason KA gets to write more books!!

I own everything she's written, therefore I can't be objective. I loved this book. I only have one teeny, tiny problem. I wish that she had resolved the Jeremy angle more. It almost seems to be left hanging. The mystery was surprising and I was happy to see Eve. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This book was very entertaining. I was glad to finally hear from Jaime Vegas' perspective. I also appreciated that the relationship between Jaime Vegas and Jeremy Danvers was explored more. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the Women of the Otherworld series. It's a good book!

I love this whole series. I'm glad that Kelley Armstrong is doing so well with sequels. I imagine as a writer it's hard to keep giving the readers the worlds they love. This is another amazing addition to her Women of the Otherworld series. Thank you so much Ms. Armstrong. :)

Okay here goes. I love this author. I have loved all her books featuring Clay, Elena, Jeremy, etc. I've not been too crazy about Hope, Eve, and the myriad of other secondary character books, but they were an okay read. I don't normally write reviews, but just had to express my feeling of being let down and let others know what to expect. With this book, Ms. Armstrong took two of the most interesting characters (especially Jeremy) to come along in the paranormal genre in a very long time and turns one into a Vegas stripper sans pole, and the other into a randy oversexed teenager. Jeremy is the quintessential intellectual. Quiet, reserved, a thinking man. I just don't get him having sex through a partially opened door. It is totally out of character for him and the long awaited consummation of their relationship was not even remotely exciting. Am I the only one who was disappointed? The book was okay, decent storyline about humans looking to tap into magic through the sacrifice of children, but something was missing therefore I could only go middle of the road for a rating. Sorry Ms. Armstrong. Please don't make the same mistakes as other popular paranormal writers who have literally assassinated their main characters.

Even though I want to read more about the werewolves, I love this series. I saved this book for my week long vacation - and finished it before the second day was over. The characters stay true and unlike some authors (LH), there is actually a plot. The mystery isn't complex but the writing is wonderful and keeps you turning that page.

I really enjoyed this book -- as I have the others in the series. I find her books easy to read and hard to put down. I can say with confidence that I will truely MISS the characters while waiting for her next book to come out.

So we start off with Jamie Vegas, a hot necromancer who is so annoyingly dumb, who can't figure anything out for herself without Jeremy, the hot werewolf, or Eve, the evil dead witch. the book isn't really about the issues she encounters as she is about to film, but the journey she has with Jeremy and how hot she is for him, but he can't decide. I wanted plot, something to read and how everything fit in. I understand that as a writer, you don't want to give any information away, that you don't want people knowing who done it by page 16. But giving a run a round and not enough information isn't going to help surprise us, but aggravate; especially when she's filling in the pages with how bad jamie wants Jeremy. & when they do figure it out, it's as anoing as Law & Order; Criminal Intent and how they just "know" who did it... Don't bother with this book, it's annoying.

Thank goodness this series is finally back on track. No more dreadfully boring werewolf adventures in which they traipse everywhere and do nothing. This book has it all, including my favorite characters, Jamie and Eve, a good plot, and less breakfast breaks (those werewolfs really can eat a lot and it's boring having it described every chapter). Thoroughly enjoyble novel, and even has a little steamy sex scene, which wasn't really necessary for the plot, but what the heck.

No Humans Involved was a great next installation in the "Otherworld" series. Jamie, who in previous books had kinda set me off a bit, is given the limelight, and it's really revealing and amazing. Plus, who doesn't love Jeremy?

Honestly, it's great, and if you liked the other "Otherworld" books, you won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't.

I loved this book! I own all 7 books in this series and each one is awesome. in this one we finally see Jeremy, the werewolf alpha, away from Elena and Clay, plus the two babies. Its good to finally see another side of him than that of the Pack alpha. He kinda lets loose and even gets real close to someone outside of his pack. you'll just have to read it to see ^_^

I really enjoyed Bitten and Stolen and the next 2 featuring the witches were good but not as exciting, the next 2 had more interesting events and characters, but this last one was...watered down, didn't pack the punch of any of the others. I wanted to enjoy this book but I found Jaime Vega boring and Jeremy Danvers no longer dangerous. The ghosts seemed more like Casper and less than terrifying. The action was limited, the heroine was vapid and the hero dull. Sorry, I did not enjoy this one (it's the least worthy in the series, for me) and wish I had not paid for hardback but I will hope for more next time.

I have read other of Armstrongs books, I found this one very good as well. It enlightened the characters from the others books, women of the other world. A good insight into the past and feelings of characters that took a minor role in bitten, stolen, and broken. If you enjoy the supernatural, you will enjoy this book.
