After reading wicked ties, this was a great follow up!! I loved how it started as a new story then reintroduced the characters from wicked ties back into it. That really helped the story flow smoothly.

Ok so since i've read Delicious, WIcked Ties and now Decadent which PS was Jaw dropping good :) i had to go buy her other books which i'm now in the process of reading Strip Search and um if you haven't read any of her books what are you waiting for...unless of course you don't want a book that keeps you hooked all the way thru and has you asking for more!

Another great book by Shayla Black. Great tie-in to Wicked Ties. Waiting in anticipation for Luc's Story and would like to know more about Hunter, Logan and Brandon. Great book. Could hardly put it down.

I enjoyed the book - parts of it. A lot of it is "HOT". The ending was dissappointing. I guess I was hoping the the three of them would stay together. If I had to pick one of them, I would have picked the other one ;)

What an amazing story. Shayla packs so much into her writing that I'm amazed. The emotions, the characters, the plot and her writing on a whole is just wonderful. This follow up story to WICKED TIES is an excellent steamy read.
I would for sure recommend this to anyone who loves romance, erotic romance and fantastic writing.
I beyond loved this book and everything inside of it. This book is on my keep shelf and will be read again and again.
If you haven't read this book I highly recommend it.

I literally could not put this book down. I love how Shayla Black goes into detail when she is describing the men!! If someone can read this and not feel anything at all, then there is definitely something wrong with them.

What the heck!??? I honestly think this was the worst book I have ever read. I really hate writing bad reviews and I am easy to please but gosh this was horrible. I don't know how I got through the whole book.

OMG...this book is so ridiculous, it defies common sense. All of the "it's hot" reviews are way off the mark. The sex scenes are bad, worse than bad. The reviewers must be reading this type of book for the first time. Otherwise, they'd understand just how bad and absurd the entire book actually is.
Where do I start??? Deke and Kimber: worse couple ever. Storyline: nonsensical, not in the a little bit relatable or believable. Luc was the best of them all...and even his whole storyline was preposterous. Will I read Luc's story...NOT. Whoever told Ms. Black this was a "Hot Read" lie to her in the worse way. Her editor should be shot!!!!

Decadent stars Kimber Edgington as she's tracking down ex Army Ranger Deke Trenton and his cousin, Luc Traverson for help. She needs a crash course in menage so she can prove to her girlhood crush, Jesse McCall, that she's not afraid of his menage proclivities and can handle it. Since she was seventeen she's been fascinated by Deke and the rumors surrounding his love life and she hopes he can be the one to teach her. Luc is only too happy to step in as her sexual tutor but Deke has his reservations. He's wanted Kimber from the moment he saw her, but his own personal hangups prevented him from making a move, plus there was the added fact of her being underage at the time and her father threatened to cut off his balls if he so much as looked in her direction. At first he tries to scare her off, to show her how intense being with two men can be, but when he realizes she'll only go to someone else for lessons, he agrees to teach her. He agrees that he and Luc will play sexual tutor with their little houseguest for two weeks, with the understanding that there will be no emotion involved. Deke is trying to protect his heart and a secret that he's been hiding for twelve years and he's afraid Kimber is going to blast right through all his carefully erected barriers. Luc is also hiding behind a facade and has his own reasons for agreeing to Kimber's plan. He is putting all his hopes for a perfect life with the three of them and is going to use every manipulative, sensual weapon he has. While the fun and games begin, there is a dangerous stalker out to get Kimber's father through her and after a vicious attack the men snap into protective mode and hide her away for protection. This only isolates the three of them in close quarters where they are forced to confront past secrets and bitter jealousy to find the ultimate winner of Kimber's heart.
In the first part of the book, the sex in Decadent was as decadent as could be. I was fully enjoying everything until the emotions started running amok. For a man who had insisted on emotions playing no part in their menage, he's sure got a lot of inner turmoil. Deke is just one hot mess. His deep, dark secret from when he was sixteen has scarred him for life and he's carried those wounds ever since. At first it was nice to know that a great big Army Ranger can be hit by feelings of uncertainty, doubt and even fear, but this took it too far. He needed a shrink. Luc does too, but Deke far more than Luc. As if there wasn't enough emotional hysteria running around in this steaming pile, Shayla Black adds in Kimber's emotional train wreck of a boyfriend, Jesse McCall. Now there's a crash and burn if ever I saw one. Jesse latches onto Kimber with a pathetic, whiny, selfish need that thoroughly grates on the nerves and you almost wish she would put the boy out of his misery and just shoot him. The villain of the book is hardly mentioned, it's more alluded to that he gets caught, and there is also a surprise villain that leaves you feeling stunned stupid. Where the heck did that come from?
I didn't even have good hot, nekkid sex to get me through this book because it was too uncomfortable with all the angst. With menage I don't want any feelings of jealousy or bitterness. I want the guys to love being with the girl and to also love being with the guy. Not in a sexual way, but to be almost comforted by their presence, like they can feed off each others emotions making the whole experience that much more erotic. Right from the beginning Deke has proprietary feelings towards Kimber and resents Luc's presence and during the middle of the book, Kimber also resents Luc's presence and wishes it was just her and Deke. Well, it sucks to be Luc. I felt extremely uncomfortable knowing that three of them were having sex and wishing one of them was gone. Luc was very much the third wheel and I felt on edge reading the book, waiting for the shoe to drop on Luc's participation in the menage. All in all, some of the sex scenes were good but it focused too much on her butt. Since Kimber is saving her virginity for Jesse, that leaves that orifice out and so the men work with what they've got. I don't have a problem with anal, just thought there was too much of it. I'm also not going to mention the absurd rationale of saving your virginity by taking big, hard c**** up your butt and down your throat, because to do so would take up too much time and will probably end in me cursing, so I'm just going to stop while I'm ahead.
Read Decadent if you like lots of anal action, don't mind menage a trois, like a lot of angst and inner turmoil and don't mind if your heroines (and heroes) are slightly stupid.

If you like your erotic romance to burn up the pages, this is the book for you. I would recommend reading the first book in this series, Wicked Ties, as these characters play a small role in this book. Excellent read!

Kimber Edgington fancies herself in love with Jesse McCall. They have known each other for years, but he won't take their relationship to the next level because he likes multiple partners, and doesn't feel Kimber can handle it. She is determined to get an education, and can think of no one better to provide it than Deke Trenton. He used to work special ops with her father, and although he treated her badly, she collects her courage and asks him for help.
Deke shares women with his cousin Luc Traverson, and together they promise Kimber an education she will never forget. Luc is sensual and charming while Deke is intense and demanding. After experiencing life-changing time with Deke and Luc, Kimber leaves to seek out Jesse. When Kimber's life and her father's life are threatened, it is Deke and Luc that come to the rescue.
I liked this story!! The erotic scenes were very hot and steamy, but there was a story to go along with it. That combination always makes for a good read.

I started to read this book with all the bars on high and with enough eagerness (and time) to get me though it all in one sitting. As it turns out I never made it past chapter 10. I loved her determination until i realized it was to gain (physical) sexual education via these past acquaintances in the hopes of impressing or seducing the man of her dreams into a relationship. The plot right there, on it's own, made me think of the heroine as down right idiotic and lacking a critical sense of self worth and perspective. So without reading the rest of the book I already know it ends with a relationship between this woman, i use the word 'woman' strictly in physically descriptive sense, and studs 1 and 2 (because essentially that's what they are to begin with; a means to an end, if you will) getting together, realizing their feelings for each other and having some kind of HEA
This book, after reading the first five and skimming the next five chapters all before returning it for a refund, I realize, is what i imagined a well fleshed out erotica would be. Of course with a 1100% markup. And then there are a few that have better plot even in the 20 pages that they have. Bus as i mentioned in the title of this review, this kind of book is not my taste. A woman wants to woo a man by learning to have sex with two other men, keeping her virginity in tact so that she can gift it to this north star in her night sky (who, almost without doubt, will /not/ appreciate it).
In summery, for one cent shy of thirteen dollars I was expecting a lot more decadence.

This book has been the hottest thing I've read since becoming addicted to erotic romances! Entire Wicked Lovers series has been a pleasurable read, but this book inparticular, made me tremble!!!! The plot was unexpected and wove several different aspects seamlessly. Every character had their own agenda and vulnerability that made things so interesting. The sex was so hot and steamy that it made me blush, squeal, pant, smile, and TINGLE!!! Equally satisfying was the love story that developed, so passionate. Just decadently delicious and hot as hell!!!!!

This book starts off pretty well, though I hate the idea that a woman can or should "save her virginity" by simply avoiding vaginal intercourse. After Kimber leaves Jesse to go back to Deke, though, the book becomes a sloppy mess. She's been on the Pill for five days (I worked the timeline out three times), so they don't need a condom? What?!? Deke's emotional issues aren't unreasonable considering the amount of time actually covered in the text, but they take up so much of the text Luc ends up seeming like a waste of space--it seems like he started out as a best friend/sidekick character that got shoehorned into the menage plot. Also, don't have your character mentally compare receiving bad news to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, for God's sake--have some decency.

"Shayla Black offers her second daring erotic contemporary, DECADENT in October 2007 for Berkley HEAT. In this fantastic ménage a trois love story, Kimber Edgington is looking for a fast education in sex with two partners before she reunites with her teenage boyfriend turned rock star, Jesse McCall, whom she's had a correspondence relationship with for years. The virginal Kimber knows that Jesse's into a swinging sex life and doesn't want to disappoint him when they finally make love. Auburn-haired beauty, Kimber , remembers her Colonel father's military cohort turned bodyguard, Deke Trenton, who was wildly attracted to her when she was a teenager. Now that she's all grown up and recently graduated from nursing school, she's ready to turn to Deke for her lessons in no-strings-attached ménage a trois that she knows he practices. When Deke's not on a Special Ops mission, he lives with his second cousin, Luc Traverson, who is a sexy well-known chef and author of bestselling cookbooks. Kimber goes to their home, and at first Deke turns her down, but he soon changes his mind when he thinks of her being with another pair of men. Kimber's sexual training promptly begins with the dark, charming Luc and the blond, intense Deke, who Kimber finds herself falling for. When Kimber leaves them after her initial love lessons to finally meet Jesse after all these years, she's disgusted by his promiscuous lifestyle and can't quit thinking about Deke. However, both Deke and Luc are fighting their own private demons with Deke not willing to make love unless it's a ménage situation and Luc wanting marathon sex to forget his problems. When Kimber's life is threatened, both of these sexy, caring men come to her rescue but who will she end up with? Talk about every woman's fantasy - two to-die-for men to make love to and a third rock star waiting in the wings! Shayla Black's DECADENT is an absolutely delectable erotic contemporary with a romance that will not only burn your fingers turning the pages, but also pull at your heartstrings!" - Patricia Rouse, Rouse's Readers Groups

I know I'm bucking the consensus with my rating, but I just couldn't buy into this one. The narrator reads the character of Kimber as if she's a precocious 14 year old trying to lose her virginity in a menage with two grown men. Their constant repetition of "baby girl," "little girl" and kitten while encouraging her to give them blow jobs and anal sex just wasn't sexy to me. It was skeezy.
I enjoyed the first book in the series -- it was hot with a plot. It helped that the heroine was an adult, and sounded like one. When the dirty talk started it felt appropriate -- not like child abuse. (Yes, I know Kimber was described as a 23 year old -- too bad she didn't sound like one.) Aside from the voice issue though, this really wasn't a very good book. The guys came across as desperate predators looking to fulfill their fantasies at the expense of a naive young girl.
I appreciate that not everyone will agree with me, but I felt I had to review this especially for for those of you with young daughters -- you might want to take a pause with this particular book. It may not sound all that sexy to you, either.

I am a little tired of reading about women who just are not strong enough to demand what should be theirs. Also of men who are too emotionally challenged to try a real relationship and not hide behind a menage. It's ridiculous. I love you and I don't want you too be with any other man but me EXCEPT the one I picked out for you because I'm too broken to make love to you on your own. I mean sure, that might be fine at first, but being unable to make love to the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. That would be unbearable. The only good thing about this book was how it ended, even though it was a little fast and dramatic for my taste. Almost quite 3/4 of the way through... worth the ending... not the money I payed for it (E-book) was $12.

I dont know if I loved this as much as Wicked Ties but its so close I dont care. The sex scenes sizzle so hot you almost forget to breathe.
I loved Deke and Luc and Kimber. Deke's inner struggle with his feelings were gut wrenching. Watching him give in to his love and hearts desire was satisfying. I simply loved Luc. So much strength and seduction and a hint of darkness to him. I'm not so sure I 100% bought the supposed reasoning hinted at that drives him but I loved him for it and I desperately want to meet him. There are so many layers of him that peek through the story that by the end I am almost fixated on him. Normally I dont like the virgin thing but Kimber was great. Not too whiny and sure as heck not a push over or stupid. While the dismissing of the menage at the end did kind of irk me it wasnt enough to hinder my opinion of the book. I dont like authors seeming like they have to justify the characters actions or decisions...even with love. The fast pace of Black's writing and her detail is specific enough to make almost everything work. Sex, Love and Menage in one story.
FYI- the scene that starts on pg 86 has to be one of the most amazing on the topic ever written...EVER. Worth whole book.

Kimber Edgington has a favor to ask. She learns that the love of her life, pop star Jesse McCall, is into ménage a trois and while he cares for Kimber, he's afraid his lifestyle would shock her. She's bound and determined to learn about his proclivities so she can prove to him she's what he needs. So, she turns to Deke Trenton, former employee of her father, to give her some much needed education.
Deke can't believe what he's hearing! After not seeing her for several years, little Kimber waltzes back into his life and asks him to teach her about ménage a trois, so she can go back to Jesse, pathetic-excuse-for-a-male McCall. Only she's not so little anymore, and if the rock in his pants is any indication, time hasn't settled his libido when it comes to the colonel's daughter.
Luc Traverson, Deke's cousin and roommate is more than happy to teach Kimber whatever she wants to learn. In fact, he hopes she stays longer than for just a few romping lessons. But Deke's got a secret, and while he's madly attracted to her, he also wants her gone, as soon as possible. And yet, he can't bear to imagine her being with anyone but him.
Shayla Black has done it again! Decadent was a scorching, roller coaster read. The action starts in Chapter One and doesn't let up until the very last word. Jam packed full of sexual tension, interpersonal conflict, inner turmoil and suspense, Ms. Black takes the reader through a mélange of emotions, from sadness to joy, from anger to arousal.
The characters are so vivid, so real, that you just know you can reach out and touch them, right in front of you. And touch them you'd love to do. Decadent is such an apropos title, because Deke and Luc ARE Decadent and much more. Deke's push-pull relationship with Kimber will leave you yearning, and his sensuality fairly sizzles off the page. Luc is as delicious as the mouth-watering dishes he creates in the kitchen and you'll crave more of Luc by the time all's said and done.

You will not be sorry to read about Deke and Kimber's love. We also get introduced to Luc. Steamy hot menage and a very real love story. One of the things I love most about this book are the hilarious descriptions of Jesse. "Lance Bass in leather pants" is one of the more memorable lines. There was also a Hanson reference that made this fan girl laugh out loud. There is some angst, but this is a story of finding out that everything you think you ever wanted was completely wrong and allowing yourself to find your happily ever after.

This is my first Shayla Black book and I was surprised by the way the story twisted and turned. The back cover really doesn't go into the depth that it goes into, and I was very pleased it was more than just really hot sex.
There were two things that prevented me from giving this book 5 stars. First, Deke was really a whiny bitch in this book. He got on my nerves a lot! I really liked Luc, he was such a better man in my opinion. Second was how it dragged slightly at the end. Ms. Black could have shaved about 30 pages off it and made it tighter, but overall, it was a solid read.
I bought this from a going-out-of-business bookstore but it would have been well worth the full price. I am glad I have a new author to look forward to.

You know, I like erotic stories as well as the next girl... ok maybe a little more. Is it too much for the erotica to be well written, to have interesting three dimensional characters, to have relate-able dialogue, and a somewhat believable story line?
In this story we're supposed to believe that Kimber wants to gain experience in a 3-some, so she can be prepared for life with the man... another man... who she says she has a connection with. So she asks Deke to teach her. She wants to know everything about how to please two men... Oh, but she wants to remain a virgin. Are you rolling your eyes yet??
Thus begins this convoluted crap of a story. It's an overlong tale, with overlong sex scenes filled with Deke's angst. I have never in my life seen a man with so many sex issues. The reasons behind these issues are hinted at over and over. When the reasons are finally revealed you just want throw the book at the wall because they make no damned sense! There was nothing about this book redeemable. The only likable character was Luc. Not having read the other books I spent the entire time trying to figure out what it was that Kimber even liked about Deke or Jesse. Deke was no alpha-male and Jesse is just bizarre.
Then there is the subplot that begins to unfold half way through the book. Someone is trying to kill Kimber. That whole suspenseful bowl of crap seemed just a machination from the author to extend the book when it was already dragging painfully. The killer is finally revealed but by that time they are revealed you already can figure out who it is. Their reasons behind the murder plot however makes you want to find the book you just hurled at the wall and tear out the pages and give the author one paper cut for every agonizing minute you wasted on this whole ridiculous story.
Pleas don't waste your time or money, Decadent is worth neither.

It was hot - super hot in fact and it would have gotten a much higher rating if Deke hadn't been a little bitch the entire book. "Oh, this thing happened 12 years ago and I was gullible enough to believe it was all my fault...blah, blah, blah." I just wanted him to get the hell over it already. I kind of wish the trio would have worked out between them and Luc - who I'd invite over any day if he'd show me his wild side. And Kimber sure didn't think she was worth very much if she thought giving up her virginity to a whoring, drugged up, alcoholic was a sign of true love with Jesse (who was a pansy BTW). Sex was good, BUT ex-squeeze me if I say I think thinking you're pregnant and taking a test a few days after is just silly. The danger with the father could have been focused on more, but it seemed more like decorative parsley on a plate of mediocre food.

Loved the character's Deke, Kimber and Luc. Deke was so hot that I immediately fell in love. However I just could not relate to Kimber at the beginning. It was a puzzle why anyone would want to be trained in ménage for a fornicating rock-star. This story was full of guilt, wacky crushes, naivete, and Guilt is an emotion should only be felt and then dropped. Hanging on to it can be both emotionally and physically debilitating.

The sex in this book is definately hot, while I can't get into the plot of the story, i find myself looking for her next encounter with cousins. I gave it three stars simply because of how the books plays out in the end. While I love Deke, I can't truly understand his reasons for sharing with Luc, although I wouldn't mind having a man like Luc making me dinner. Kimber's play with the boys attitude drives me crazy at certain times of the book. One moment she's a take no prisoner's kinda woman, the next she's confused not sure what to do. This is the kind of book to read on a long drive on have next in the bathroom for something to read.

Kimber Edgington is looking for help, and the only man she can think of is Deke, a man that has treated her as an annoyance in the past. Still, Kimber is determined to at least ask Deke to help her learn the ways of ménage loving, since she knows he is very experienced and he can teach her everything she needs to know. Now, she just needs to convince Deke and his cousin Luc to "train" her so that she can go to the man she loves fully prepared to join him in his way of life. Besides, Deke has always flipped Kimber's switch and who better to teach her?
Deke and Luc have always shared women between them. For Deke it's a way of life and he sees no reason to change - especially when he believes that coming together with a woman on his own will only lead to disaster. Luc, on the other hand, is in this just for the passion, but he hopes to one day find a woman that can form a true triad with him and Deke. If Kimber is the one, will Deke allow himself to fully love her?
Pull out your asbestos gloves; you will need them to pick up this book! Decadent is so hot that it might cause you to self-combust if you aren't careful. Deke, Luc and Kimber all have secrets and hang-ups that keep pushing them apart, and they all have to be willing to let them go if what they have together is going to work. Deke is a man that is tormented by his past, but with Kimber's help and Luc's pushing he finally comes to terms with it and gets the happy ending he deserves. Kimber starts out as a young immature girl that we see grow into a strong and determined woman, while Luc is the stabilizing force between the three providing the push Kimber and Deke need to come together. At times, I felt like smacking them up-side the head to make them see sense, but in the end they came through and left me feeling more than satisfied. All three have unexpected depths that surprise you, as they drag us into their story. Decadent is a book for all those who love a bone-meltingly hot ménage with a strong emotional background in the story. Get Decadent for yourself, but be warned that it will set you on fire!

Throughly entertaining. I loved the characters Shayla Black so expertly brought to life. Kimber, Deke and Luc were so wonderful together. I thought the happily ever after would never come. Yet the ending was well worth waiting for. To me, I felt there could have been an additional 200 pages, if not longer. I came back here hoping for locate a book 2, but couldn't find it. I wanted to know how Kimber's father recovered, and if he went back to his work, or retired. Also wanted, to not only hear of Kimber's wedding, but read about it. And did Deke's cousin ever find a love of his own?

I agree with several of the other reviewers on this one.... the sex scenes are what makes this book what it is!
For the most part, I found the plot on its own weak at best. I mean a virgin wanting sex lessons in order to please a guy she doesn't even really know that well?? And then the whole Deke thing with his hang ups on being with a virgin, PUH-LEEASE! Completely lame!
However, the exchange between Kimber and the boys in the bedroom scenes were scorching! I found myself skimming over a few of the more daunting dialog sequences just to get to the next sizzler!
I would say, if you are looking for a GREAT story line as well as hot erotic literature, this is probably only going to meet half of your expectations. BUT, I would still recommend it for those long cold winters nights - this is sure to warm you up!

Kimber Edgington has a dilemma. Wanting to garner the attention of a childhood friend, and now famous musician who participates in the ménage lifestyle, she turns to Deke Trenton, bodyguard and bad boy, for "educational" information. With the lusty rumors regarding Deke and his cousin Luc's relationships with women, Kimber knows that there is no one else she can turn to for the tutoring that she believes she so badly needs.
Deke Trenton hasn't seen Kimber in years and he doesn't understand why she has sought him out. To Deke, Kimber was so temptingly off limits that he resigned his job with her father because of his lusty feelings. When she tells Deke her reason for seeking him out, he at first refuses her request - until he realizes that she will just go to someone else for the information that she wants. And to Deke, the man that craves Kimber's touch like no other, that thought is unacceptable.
Luc Traverson and his cousin are closer than most brothers. Deke and he have spent years honing their seduction skills and when Kimber Edgington weeds her way into their lives, Luc begins to get ideas. Kimber just might be the one he has been looking for to give him the one thing that he has been craving his entire adult life.
What starts out as love lessons for Kimber to attract the attention of her teenaged crush soon turns into something more. Not only do Kimber's feelings change, but it seems there is an unknown evil force working against her with every step she takes.
Deke Trenton was the epitome of a harsh speaking and virile fallen angel. Knowing that his feelings for the then 17-year-old Kimber were wrong, Deke stepped back and tried to forget her. And he did for the most part, until she returned and set his entire life upside down. I loved everything about this bad boy from his gorgeous head to his sexy toes. His mental rationalizations of why he needed to leave Kimber alone were so realistic at times I could have opened the pages of DECADENT and smacked him. Luc garnered just as much of my affection. Concealing a lifetime of self doubt and heartache in one tight, sexy body, Luc often times made me shiver with the intense focus and complete sensuality that he aimed at Kimber. Kimber, while being innocent, had a tough edge about her that made me smile. Gutsy, gorgeous, and downright impish at times, I loved how she was able to wrap each man around her tiny fingers.
In DECADENT, Shayla Black has penned a truly naughty and magnificent tale. The love between the characters shines through on the written page and its sensuality and expertly written storyline are the sweetest indulgence. DECADENT will sooth even the most jaded romantic into believing in the power of love.
For readers interested in what happens to these continuing characters, Delicious, also by Shayla Black is set to be written and then released in 2009. I, for one, can't wait!

I had never read this author before. I found her while browsing through other authors where you're shown which other books people buy along with the one originally looked at. Her writing was phenomenal! VERY descriptive and really made you feel like you were right there......BUT.....I found it VERY difficult to believe that a virgin went looking for a teacher, found TWO of them, aaaaand, she jumped RIGHT in with both of these men, turning herself into a pretzel basically (when she wasn't a receptacle)...NO shyness in doing things she had never even heard of, pretty much acting like she had been around the block many, many times...I need my characters to be a little more believable. Now, I loved Deke and his lack of finesse. As for cousin Luc? Well, when Kimber first met him, I was thinking, "Hmmmm, hot guy," until every other word out of his mouth was 'sweetheart' and he kept 'kissing her gently.' I started thinking, "Could he be any more effeminate ???" As I said in opening, the writing itself with all the descriptions was really really good, but the story itself? eh...so-so..

What a sexually delicious experience this book is. I sucked in its entire length in one hugely satisfying session of erotic literary passion. What a story, and what a seemingly insatiable sexual appetite Kimber has. Once again the threesome love triangle is a winning formula. I loved it immensely and I wished I could be part of that world. If only my husband had friends like Luc. If you like threesomes I can recommend Maya Banks' For Her Pleasure and if you like really raunchy short stories that are wickedly explicit I can highly recommend 100 Percent Erotica by Suzie Van Aartman, a classic in my opinion.100 Percent Erotica

Wow oh wow! I got this book because the set up intrigued me greatly. I'd never really read a romance where a threesome was a focus, at least a focus that wasn't in some kind of crude way. At times the language was brash, but in my opinion it just added to the eroticism of the scene.
I wish that the ending was a bit longer and I will admit, after a while the constant sex kind of got boring. In my mind...I wanted the last sex scene to be more dramatic but at least it happened. At times, the personalities started to annoy me but not so much as to make me want to toss the book. This was a book I was definitely going to finish. If the only chance I got to read it was when I was drying my hair and eating breakfast before work, that's the way I'd have to do it. Luckily though it didn't come to that lol. I want to see Luc's story now. I hope she writes his!
All in all, this book is HOT! Definitely not for the faint of heart or something you want to read in front of others because it will get your blood pumping.

It is a great story, full of emotion and love. The characters are alive and you feel like you know them personally. The story hits a lot of emotions with genuine realization that tomorrow is promised to no one.

I absolutely love Shayla Black's Wicked series! Each time I finish one I think the next can't be as good, but I'm pleasantly surprised each time! I'm not getting into the plot because so many other people have done so already, I'll just say the if you like a great plot with lots of steamy romance, then this book will suit you just fine!

Shalya Black has provided one of those books that you can't put down. My own experience with this one was to forget to eat. I just kept reading. Boy, am I glad I did. The interplay between Deke, Luc and Kimber is amazing. The sex scenes deliver on every level. The depth that Ms. Black dives into the characters fears and hopes gave me an intimate view inside them. Riveting!
A definite recommend.

The author started writing a menage story and then apparently decided to downplay one of the males and write him out of the relationship. I could have stopped reading halfway through the book and went away happy. Instead I read the entire story and was left disappointed.

This is a well written book, by a talented author. Main strength of book are the characterizations; they are very well done. The plot is menage, the main characters are well drawn and likable.
**Spoiler Alert** Just when I got all attached to the menage and it was working for everybody, the author TOTALLY chickened out...tossed somebody out of the menage (which she spent the entire book building), and ends it a traditional m/f white picket fence HEA.
After the big leadup and weird 180 twist, unsure I'll read this author again.

Im guessing these books are just porn in book style. I read for story line. Not much of it here. It pained me to get thru the whole thing, just wanting to read the conclusion. Most is sex scenes. Not to terribly repetitive n just enough demention n plot for me not to simply chuck it out the window. Waste of money. Sigh. Oh and did i mention totally unrealistic. Barf

I bought this book because I enjoyed Shayla Black's first book. I enjoy good sex scenes but I do need a story to go with it. The book went from one sex scene to the other. The premise for the plot was not believable. Kimber asks Deke and Luc to teach her about menage a trois so that she can have sex with Jesse, a rock star whom she has had a crush on for years. Kimber was just too silly for me. I would recommend Wicked Ties. I would give that one 5 stars.

I liked this book, but I thought it would be hotter - lots of story line that didn't matter - there is a lot of description that doesn't really matter and falls a little short on some of the hot scenes. I will try more books by this author

You know that cliche on the back of the books 'Leaves you panting for more.' This is on that list.
Definately a must read, especailly if you liked Deke in the first one. When I read 'Wicked Ties' I kept thinking I needed more Deke and did I ever get it!!
Luc ain't too bad either. YUMM (nuff said)

Decadent was indeed worth the wait! Kimber Edington is in need of a certain kind of tutelage. So she enlists the aid of Deke and his cousin Luc. The story has a few twists and turns. As well as lots of yummy, steamy (m,f,m) sex, wish I was part of that hero sandwich...lol. The secondary characters were just interesting as the main ones. Especially Kimber's brothers, Logan and Hunter, as Shayla says "Fire and Ice". Hope they have their own stories also. But anyway, a great story line, with all the sizzle you could ever hope for and more.

Kimber Edgington is a naive virgin who fancies herself in love with a pop star. Jesse McCall, the pop star she loves, has a reputation for enjoying menages and sexual decadence. As innocent as she is, Kimber knows that she might not have the skills to please Jesse in bed, so she goes to the one man she thinks can help her, Deke Trenton. Deke worked with her father when Kimber was young, and she knows that he also has a penchant for menage. When she shows up at his house asking him to provide her with a first-hand sexual orientation, Deke is stunned. He remembers Kimber as the girl she was, and not the woman she's become. Along with his cousin Luc, Deke agrees to give Kimber the sexual experience she longs for, and hopes that he doesn't lose his heart in the process...
Decadent is a book that lives up to its name. It has hot sex scenes, a steamy threesome, and two men to die for. However, the plot was sorely lacking, I found many of the scenes completely implausible, and I found myself skipping through the boring parts to get back to the heat. I enjoyed Decadent, but I can't exactly say that it left me wanting more. This is the first book I've read by Shayla Black, and I'll be interested to see if I like her first book, Wicked Ties, any more. Read this book if you're in the mood for a passionate story with hot sex scenes, but I wouldn't expect too much from the plot.

This book is a must read. I would suggest reading Wicked Ties first and then Decadent. I just wish real life could be so decadent although anyone lucky enough to learn about sex from Deke & Luc would be spoiled for life. I don't think you could do any better than those two. I absolutely loved this book and I am looking forward to the next one, Shayla hurry up with that one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can you go wrong with two gorgeous men making it thier mission to pleasure one woman? If you are looking for an extremely hot read that has a believable story line then this a great book for you. I really liked the prolific, quality sex scenes. You don't have to wait long either to get to them, they start very early in the story, which I appreciated. I withheld two stars because the character of Luc who is in my mind's eye fabulously gorgeous and virle, but is really overly portrayed as the "fem" of the two men in this threesome. It is sad because his character could have been devastatingly sexy. The characterization that was really good was Kimber. I really liked the contrasts in her personality yet she was wholly believable. The sex scenes are so exciting you might want to flag them so you can read them over again. My heart pounded.....

I can't really decide whether I like this book or not...The plot is sort of ridiculous but the menage scene's were hot and steamy. I like books with great sex but I also want a believable story. A virgin who wants sex-ed lessons is okay but Deke's ex girlfriend hang ups are laughable, then Deke's cousin is thrown in there and let's not forget the stalker/killer threat that's thrown in somewhere toward the end of the book. I've read other books of Black's and I liked them so I'll try others but the only really good this about this one was the menage scenes.

I have been waiting for this book ever since I read Wicked Ties. This book does not measure up to Ms Black. I was very disappointed about Luc and Deke. Very weak and wimpy. I liked the storyline and the plot. But Ms. Black took a back seat on this one. She let Luc falter. I seen him as the wimpy housewife. Not the strong alpha male I expected. Who says because your a chef, says you have to be the one who wants the wife and kids. And Deke what happen to him? He was the big tough guy, who you just wanted to fall in love with and have him hold you tight in your arms. The real alpha male we are all looking for.
Kimber she was the only one I liked the level headed virgin. Come on, there should have been more back story on Kimber and Jesse. Not the fact that she barely kissed him that summer five years past.
The only reason I gave this review a star was for the sex. Thats it.
Ms. Black dropped the ball on this one. I feel she rushed it. There was no intensity. No steamy romance.
When I read the first line of Wicked Ties, that got me. It hooked me in. With Decadent I was waiting and still waiting.....

Love Shayla Black!! Unfortunately I read this in reverse order--Decadent first and then Wicked Ties, but regardless, I absolutely loved them both. Deke might be my all-time favortie guy!!! I thought the stories were great and the sex even better!! Can't wait for the next one.

Decadent is an awesme story. I couldn't put it down! The characters are so vivid, especially Kimber, that I just wanted to crawl inside her and experience what she was feeling. The story gives intriguing glimpses into Luc's (the cousin) life and made me want to read more about him. I only hope that there will be a story for Luc!

An excellent book with a really gripping and passionate storyline. The characters are so real they leap from the pages at you, in fact I wish someone like Luc would leap on me. I've read some great books lately and this one is one of the best. Also enjoyed Tempted and 100 Percent Erotica

An excellent companion to Wicked Ties. Kimber is trying desperately to prove her sexual athleticism and boy what a way to do it. The book has all the ingredients of a classic pot-boiler, fantastically alpha males with burning passion, ready and very eager to give Kimber what she wants. This is a great book that you won't be able to put down. I really loved it. For Her Pleasure and 100 Percent Erotica are also great reads.

I guess it depends what you like... Personally, i appreciate a believable plot. The reason for Deke to not want to bed a virgin is laughable, Kimber's reason for wanting a threesome is pretty lame (are 23 yo's really that naive??) and the reason for Luke to be in a threesome was just bad...
If you are just buying the book for the sex scenes, I guess it's OK (not great). But if you also enjoy a believable plot or at least something entertaining, then I would NOT recommend this book.

Please RateDecadent (A Wicked Lovers Novel)
Well it's true and the story in a nutshell. To be more specific.Kimber has had a crush on rock star hearthrob Jesse McCall since they were highschool sweethearts. Now he is pursuing a successful career abroad surrounded by girls who are more than happy to share in menage sex. Kimber is concerned that the seasoned Jesse will be turned off by her naivite so she turns to her father's former assistant, Deke for an intensive course in menage a trois. He has a reputation for exclusively partaking in this kind of sex and though she remembers that he avoided her while working for her father she has no one else to turn to. What is a girl to do when times are desperate and good teachers are hard to come by? If you can ignore this paltry excuse for writing a menage story then you're likely to enjoy the rest of the book. It did grate on my nerves as I much prefer heroines who posses a higher I.Q. than an emu.
Kimber valiently knocks on Deke's door but is greeted by his chef cousin Luc who cooks like heaven and looks like sin and has no objection to seeing to Kimber's education. Deke is staggered to hear Kimber's request and you guessed rightly; it wasn't indifference that kept him at a distance but sordid thoughts for his boss's young daughter. It takes some persuasion to convince Deke to join in but considering the inducement he capitulates much to everyone's delight (including mine) and the fun begins.
The catch is that amidst all the complicated, neckbreaking acrobatics, Kimber is to remain virgin as a gift to her beloved Jesse! That in itself makes the book worth a read. That's not all, however. Deke falls irrevocably in love with Kimber and cannot bear to think of having to let her go in the arms of another man who might not be as considerate with her. He even resents Luc's being intimate with Kimber and their relaxed ,easygoing relationship which he cannot share beause of his conflicting emotions.
O.K. Except for the virginity snag I enjoyed reading the book which contains lots of explicit, scintilating, titilating sex with the heroine being ravished by two super males. There's an attempt on her life and the such but this has become a norm in these books and one I am beginning to find rathe tedious. I think it's time something else were introduced instead of the damsel in distress line. Overall fun, sexy book.
