Book 20), Thrill Me (Fool's Gold

One of the highlights of each summer, for me, is knowing that Susan Mallery will be releasing a new set of Fool's Gold novels. Thrill Me, book number 18 in this series, successfully fulfilled my annual indulgence. In this novel we are introduced to the Mitchell family; this is Del's story. I appreciate how the author creates characters that we can bond with. Thrill Me was fast paced with an engaging plot. Once of the facets of Susan Mallery's stories that I particularly enjoy is how she weaves past and future characters into her novels. It's gratifying to receive updates on old friends and to try and guess who will be the focus of the next tale. I finished this story feeling pleased for Del and Maya, and left eagerly awaiting the next installment from Fool's Gold!

I love that Del and Maya dated in high school and are now thrown together to work on a project for the town, thanks to Mayor Marsha, of course. Del and Maya have to put their past behind them to work together and at first they act like nothing happened. Slowly they realize the can't run from the past forever!
Of course Gladys and Eddie are causing problems-this time for Maya in more ways than one! I would love to read a book with those two as the main characters!
Susan did it again in her descriptions of the town and characters. Makes you feel as if you are right there walking the streets of Fool's Gold!

Returning to Fool's Gold is like revisiting a favorite vacation spot. You love that some things never change, but sometimes you want a little something new. I enjoyed Maya and Del's story as I have all the others. And I liked the new insights into the wild and crazy Eddie and Gladys and their behind the scenes do gooding in addition to trouble making. But I found it a little hard to believe that two people who had this wonderful love, then ran from it, would just be able to get past it, discover a mutual dream and be happy. Don't get me wrong, one of the reasons I love Fool's Gold is that I know there will be a happy ending. I just found this one a little harder to believe in such a short time. That being said, I can't wait to return in the next installment, hear more about Del's family and whichever person is next on Mayor Marsha's list.

Maya Farlow wanted to be on camera but found out she was better suited behind the camera. When Maya was offered a job promoting the new slogan for Fool's Gold she readily accepted. She didn't know the on air talent that she will be working closely with is Del Mitchell, a man she broke up with ten years earlier. Maya stayed in touch with Del's mother all these years and spending time with Del is not as awkward as she thought it would be and they get reacquainted. Del's family has always kept secrets and Del doesn't like secrets or lies. When Maya explains to Del the real reason she broke up with him, he grows closer to her. I couldn't put this book down. I can't get enough of Susan Mallery and I can't wait to read the next book!

I have loved reading the 3 books from Susan Mallery centered around the hot and steamy town of Fools Gold California. Hold Me, Kiss Me, Thrill Me are all excellent books written by Susan Mallery. In the book, Thrill Me, 5 hot gorgeous men do nothing but break hearts in Fools Gold. Maya, has had her heart broken by one of them, Del. She leaves town, only to have to return to Fools Gold to promote the hometowns new slogan, The Destination for Romance. Only problem is Del is the spokesperson hired. Now Maya and Del must work together both professionally and personal. As I said, I enjoyed all 3 books and highly recommend them.

The Mitchell brothers are the center of Fool's Gold and Del has returned to Fool's Gold for a quick trip to celebrate the father who wasn't really a father and while there he reconnects with a past flame from high school, but has the flame burned out or will the reconnect and end up together?

There is a usual formula for romance books and this one followed it and I loved it! I loved the old love potential new fling situation and the will they/won't they part of the story. I also loved that there was a story that put a lot of focus on her work life and how for this character Maya still found joy and satisfaction from her work life.

Susan Mallery does it again. Fool's Gold is a place that wonderful things happen and the people look out for their own. I truly wish places like this existed and people were as kind. Maya Farlow goes back to the one place she felt safe growing up. Del Mitchell returns for a visit for his fathers birthday. Maya and Del were in love 10 years ago and neither is aware the other is back.
In typical Fool's Gold fashion they reconnect and rediscover feelings they thought were gone. Can they regain the trust? the Love? Eddie and Gladys are still stir things up
If you love Fool's Gold you'll love this book too. If you've never read Susan Mallery try it. I recommend this book to anyone that likes romance and happy endings

I am always excited to read the newest installment in the Fool's Gold series. Thrill Me was much more the formula of the majority of the series, so long-term fans should enjoy it. For me, it was just an okay read. I liked Maya and Del's interactions with each other. I enjoyed seeing Maya's growing self-confidence. Del's constant thoughts about his distrust of Maya until the end of the book began to be very repetitive. Also, all the Mitchell family secrets, and keeping them because the family has always had secrets, started to annoy me. The introduction of the entire Mitchell family sets up the possibility for several new Fool's Gold books or possibly a new series set in Happily, Inc. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

It's always a joy to return to Fool's Gold and visit with the wonderful people there. In "Thrill Me" we get to meet the five Mitchell brother, all very handsome and heartbreakers. Maya Farlow was in love with the eldest brother, Del, ten years ago and they had planned to marry until she panicked and lied and left him. Now Mia has returned to Fool's Gold and accepted a job as the new communications director and she is very surprised to discover that Del has also returned for the summer. Mayor Marsha arranges for them to work together and they learn that they are a very good team. Can this new knowledge help them overcome old trust issues and move forward as a new couple?

This has to be one of my favorite Susan Mallery Fool's Gold books. I loved the Maya/Del story. This was all about second chances and the risks involved in letting your hear believe it could happen twice with the same person. Del and Maya were young love that for reasons that were important at the time went separate ways, made their own way in the world but managed, with the help of Mayor Marsha (of course) to find the road back home to Fool's Gold where the magic always seems to happen. Their story is a real, relatable love story. Keep them coming Susan!

Thrill Me turned out to be an incredibly fast read...because I seriously didn't want to put this book down! Maya and Del's story draws you in from the very beginning. It quickly walks you through their history together and takes you to where they are today. Maya comes to life with her difficult upbringing and all of the complex ideals that are the fabric of her daily life. Yet, she's so honest in all her relationships now. Del's is a family of many secrets. It takes perseverance, patience, and understanding to get beyond barriers to build and strengthen family bonds and relationships again. All this taking place in a community where people give friendship, advice, and support makes this such an awesome read. I loved all of it!

Maya and Del’s story engaged me enough to keep flipping the pages, but stayed light enough for my end-of-summer brain. Don’t we all have enough to think about when fall approaches?
We’ve had an especially hot, dry summer in the Pacific Northwest and reading Thrill Me gave me a great chance to relax, enjoy a cool beverage, and get lost in Fool’s Gold. (I hope they aren’t in any fire danger!)
I recommend this book to any Susan Mallery fan. I think it would also be a good book for anyone who wanted to jump into the Fool’s Gold series. Any references to previous installments applicable to this story are well explained. But-BEWARE-you might get hooked and have a lot of catch-up reading to do!

Del and Maya were high school sweethearts until Maya dumped him and left. Now years later Maya has been hired by the Mayor to promote the town. Little does she know that Dell has been hired to work with her. Even though they fight the pull they have towards each other it is those intimate sessions they have to have to make the town look good that makes it hard, and when Dell finds out she kept a secret from him it makes it even harder for him to trust her again.
I felt this was a quick romantic read. It fits well with the rest of the book in the Fool's Gold Series even though they can all be read as a stand alone.

Thrill Me is the reason I come back to Fool’s Gold with every book release. There are so many things I love about this story, but it’s the believability of the characters that really did it for me. At 18, Maya ran from her engagement to Del. Her reasons and subsequent guilt felt valid. Del’s distrust of Maya as a long-term relationship worked. What I loved is his ability to say “that was years ago and I’m over it.” It is refreshing to see a man not hold a grudge against the woman he loved. This opens the door to a friendship between them and the ability to see each other in new, mature ways. They truly like each other and the journey and conclusion to their happily ever after had me loving the two of them.

Wickedly entertaining, adorably fun with subtle sex appeal. Susan Mallery is on a roll. I am really enjoying the Fool's Gold Series. These stories of love, heartache, growth and redemption are treasured finds for me. Thrill Me is a definite keeper. Second chance love stories are powerful. They give the characters the chance to face the obstacles that broke them apart head on or choose to walk away. Things learned the first time around can help to build a stronger link. Maya and Del's story is sweet story of facing mistakes and getting it right. Enjoyed the characters, loved the writing, had fun reading the story. Another trip to Fools Gold! This time the story is about Maya Farlow, she returns to Fools Gold after 10 years. She lived here in high school, enjoyed the town and school and fell in love, but she was too young and scared to stay. Fast forward 10 years and shes back and so is the guy she fell for, Del Mitchell. Del is still handsome, charming, and there is still some feelings left. As Del and Maya work together they find their feelings growing but can Del ever trust her again?
What I love about the Fools Gold series is that each book deals with the main characters and their relationship, but it also deals with relations between friends, brothers, parents and husbands and wives. It shows that there are so many interactions that influence relationships.
This time we met Del's 4 brothers, learn some family secrets, and enjoy the town of Fools Gold and the characters that live there. Looking forward to the next trip to catch up on town happenings and get to know some new characters!

In Thrill me we start to meet the Mitchell Family. First up is Del. Years ago he fell in love with Maya who got scared of her feelings due to a bad upbringing and broke it off. He left town to get away. Fate or better known as Mayor Marsha brings Maya back to Fool's Gold with a job offer. Wouldn't you know it, she's got Del assisting with said job. You know right away that they never fell out of love with each other but Del is afraid to just trust Maya again. In this book you get introduced to Del's mom Elaine who is a very stubborn woman who puts Maya in a bit of a bind. Then there is Del's father Ceallach, a famous artist, who really I just wanted to punch in the face for how selfish he is. Can't wait to read about the other brothers!

Fools Gold is such a wonderful series and I always look forward to the next book! With Thrill Me, you have a second chance romance with Maya and Del. They were in love as young adults and planning to marry. Maya having had a rough childhood get scared, lies to Del and leaves town and goes to college. Del feeling betrayed and heartbroken soon leaves towns also to find his new path in life.
Ten years later Mayor Marsha ( I'd love to know her secrets! ) calls them both back to town to wok on a town project. Is ten years enough time to heal old wound and learn to trust again or is Maya still keeping secrets? You'll have to read it to find out!
I decided to skip the previous book in the series to see if it would bother the flow of the story and see how it would feel as a stand alone book. Susan does a great job incorporating everyone from past books and the running theme of the town that I didn't feel like I was lost and missing something from earlier books. So I you haven't read any of the Fool's Gold books you can easily start here. Better yet start at book one!
Would I recommend Thrill Me?- Yes. Absolutely!! I always feel like I've been visiting family and friends after I read a Fool's Gold book, it's like coming home!

I’ve read every single Fool’s Gold book and what I like most about the series, now including Maya and Del’s story, is that there is a bit of a message intertwined with the characters. Whether it’s about self-reflection or something else, I always take something positive away from Fool’s Gold. In Thrill Me, Maya has a self-protective edge based on her childhood. And Del also has issues brought on partly from his upbringing but also from Maya’s lie. This story highlights their progression as they come full circle years later. If you are into the small town, ‘I wish I lived there’ type of stories, you will enjoy Thrill Me and Fool's Gold. And as always, I liked that there was a little bit of catching up with past characters.

Fantastic! I loved this story. I seem to love each book even more than the last. Of course Mayor Marsha works her magic to provide a reason for Maya to come home. But lessons learned as children are hard to overcome. This is a story of love, family and second chances. And who would of thought--that Eddie and Gladys would do something besides they're usual troublemaking, something wonderful. The stories about Fool's Gold and the people in it are so good. I'd recommend the series to anyone.

I absolutely love this series and I just can't get enough! I love getting to know each character and how with each book we get to watch them grow and see how their lives have progressed and see old and new loves connect. And mayor Marsha lol I just love how she always gets her way and her never ending love for her town and her people. In this book its Del and Maya's turn and though at times you want to pull your hair out it all works out in the end and you will love it just as I do! I'm so excited for more fools gold stories and if you've never read them please start at the beginning and fall in love with them all.

I realIy liked Thrill Me. It is a book about second chances and Del and Maya certainly deserved them. Maya returns to Fools Gold to create some videos for publicity for the town. You don't get a lot of back story about Maya's young life in Fools Gold but Susan gives you enough to understand her issues of trusting herself. Del is going to work with her on the videos due to Mayor Marsha - gotta to love her! Del was the young man that Maya was going to run away with after high school but instead broke his heart. Del certainly has issues of letting her back in. It was nice to see how former lovers could become good friends before they fall in love again.

This is the story of Del and Maya and their second chance at love. While I enjoyed this book it was not my favorite of the series. I really enjoyed the relationship of Maya with Del's mother but did not think this book was as deeply written as some of the others. I have enjoyed this series, and like all series, some books are better than others; each has its own personality. The storyline in this one was not as interesting to me as some of the others; however, it is a good read and I would recommend it. This series can be read as a whoe but they all standing alone if you just want to pick one up without reading the prior books.

I love Susan's books. She writes believable characters. And she makes you love them. My only complaint is that she doesn't go into more detail about the town itself. She tells you about going into Brew-Ha-Ha, but shares nothing going on except for her characters. She doesn't describe the inside, or the other patrons. I'd like to know more about the town!! What's the Mayor's office like? What are the other businesses in the town? Do they have a bakery? Do they have a bank? And who are the townspeople? Yes, we know the characters, but there are other people in the town, no? That's my only complaint. I want to know the town!!

Del and Maya were destined to be together and the books offers , once again, an enjoyable book to read ....do they wind up together or not? You must read it to find out! What I have always enjoyed in all of the Fools Gold Books is the entire town , the embodiment of community and togetherness not to mention Gladys and Eddy , two "rocking senior" ladies, who are even more of a hoot then in prior stories!! Their antics always gets me laughing!! Any chance we can see romance in their futures Susan? For Del and Maya the paths they have taken that lead them to where they are in the book is a nice read for the summer!

Do you like reading books that are like attending a reunion? Thrill Me is the latest of in the Fool's Gold series of about 20 books. It is the story of Maya, who we are introduced to in the previous book, Kiss Me. (Another great book!) Hers is a story of learning to trust that she is worthy of love. It is also the story of Del Mitchell, the first of 5 brothers whose stories I hope to hear very soon! More hunky book boyfriends on the horizon. :-) Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down. I found myself reading it slower as I neared the end because I didn't want it to end. At least we have another one coming in a few months!

After Kiss Me, I found myself missing Fool’s Gold and was glad that Maya and Dell’s book returned to small town, with all its crazy residents and omniscient mayor. This was the heartwarming, reunion story I want from Fool’s Gold. Maya and Dell did have a nasty breakup in the past. However, Maya does apologize for the breakup and they’re able to work together and rekindle their relationship like adults.

Love the Fools Gold series and this is just another one of Susan's great love stories with lots of surprises. Del and Maya have found each other again after ten years of being apart. Of course, Mayor Marsha has cast her magic spell and brought them back home to work together. Love this little town and the future stories of the Mitchell brothers. There are several twists and turns in the Mitchell family's lives but as always, you can expect the kind of ending that we all love in a romance story from Fool's Gold.

Each story shows how everyone in this small community works together to make it a wonderful place to live. I can’t wait until the next trip to Fool’s Gold.

This is Maya and Del’s story. We first met Maya in Kiss Me as Phoebe’s best friend. She and Del were each other’s “firsts” and they loved each other and Del had asked her to marry him. This is a classic Susan Mallery book. It's about Maya, a woman who, after running away for 10 yrs, has finally returned for a job with Mayor Marsha. Del, on the other hand, left because he has a different vision for his life than his dad. He's made a fortune in extreme sports and developing a special board for one of those sports. Maya and Del have a history and it keeps pulling them together. Mayor Marsha is, I've decided, the best matchmaker ever or, a white witch! I really loved the interplay between the two main characters and it is always nice to revisit the quirky characters in Fool's Gold.

I love the Fool's Gold series. Who wouldn't want to live in a town like Fool's Gold? A town where love is everywhere. Thrill Me will leave you feeling you have visited Fool's Gold and met all the characters in the book – old favorites and new ones with stories waiting to be told. Honestly, I had a hard time connecting to these characters that are getting their second chance 10 years later. I don't see why they wouldn't just have an honest conversation and all would work out. For a Fool's Gold fan, it is always a must read but for a 1st timer I think you could pick a better Fool's Gold book.

Maya and Del fell in love when they were 18 and 20. It's been ten years since they've been back in town at the same time. Mayor Marsha hired Maya to make promotional videos to promote Fool's Gold tourism. Del is back for his father's birthday party and agrees to help on the project due to his background in extreme sports. Working together reminds them both why they fell in love in the first place.

One of my favorite things about this story is the humorous banter between Maya and Del. I'm also looking forward to getting to know Del's four brothers better in future books.

I like reunion romance stories and this one by Susan Mallery didn't disappoint. I'm kind of hit and miss with Mallery but "Thrill Me" hit the right spots. Maya is the one who dumped Del when she was young and insecure. Del, in turn, left Fool's Gold for fame and fortune in the extreme sports world. But that was in the past and the present, which is a convenient decade later, has Maya and Del on a path to work together. Are there still sparks? Of course there are. This is a romance after all. Predictability aside, the chemistry is well done as is the interaction.

I really enjoyed this latest entry in the Fool's Gold series, mostly I think because it was just such a sweet and believable story. I loved that neither character was holding long-term grudges for youthful actions, and that both seemed capable of reacting to one another as adults. I also loved that neither character was looking to settle down with a nice house and a white picket fence- finally a couple that are seeking travel and adventure! Even the sometimes overly-quirky characters were toned down to seem sweetly eccentric rather than full-on nutters. Highly recommended!

Another fun and fabulous trip to Fool's Gold! Maya and Del are a great couple, and it was interesting to see two people who had already experienced romance as teens coming back together as adults. I also really enjoyed some of the side characters' contributions in this one--particularly Eddie and Gladys! It was also nice to see the continuation and growth of Maya & Zane's sibling relationship. And I'm really hoping that Del's brothers are slated for some action in future books! Disclosure: I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

I have come to love the town of Fool's Gold. The major is a matchmaker in disguise. This time her eyes are on two people who loved each other but they missed their first chance. Now, ten years later things are different. They both have matured and this might be the right time in their lives for a second chance.

Maya Farlow never had stability in her life until her mother married Zane's father, the hero of book 17. During her short time in Fool's Gold she fell in love with Del Mitchell. But, they were too young and when her feelings were too deep she made the decision to run away. Now, she has to face Del again. She will be making the videos for the new major's project: Destination for Romance and Del is going to be the one in front of the cameras.

Del Mitchell left town after Maya broke his heart. Leaving town made him discover his love for extreme sports. He's back after selling his very successful company. Offering to help promote Fool's Gold is one thing he's going to enjoy. He's just not too sure he can keep his feelings for Maya suppressed for long.

Another winner in the Fool's Gold series. I liked the characters.

Maya was a professional. She had success in her life but she was aware of her limitations. She knew that Del needed an apology and she gave one as best as she could.

I love that Del had no hate or resentment towards Maya. I could understand why he was resistant to give her a second chance after she broke his heart into a thousand pieces.

One thing this book made me realize is that I'm not done with the Mitchells. If anything I want to get their love stories too. I'm ambivalent with Del's mom. She made Maya run into trouble when it could have been avoided but I guess, she provided part of the drama.

You don't have to read the Fool's Gold series in order. This series tends to be either PG or PG-13. In this novel you meet the Mitchell brothers and one in particular Del Mitchell. Who has returned home for his father's birthday and to find his next adventure after selling his company. He has a history with Maya Farlow is also just returned to Fool's Gold, California. Mia and Del end of working together on a project for the town and sparks fly. The secret that Mitchell family have been keeping , gives this story extra depth. A great romance - perfect way to spend my Sunday.

It's no surprise, Susan Mallery has a huge hit on her hands with Thrill Me. There is just nothing like getting your hands on the latest Fool's Gold novel. Each and every time you get to catch up with your old friends and are introduced to some new residents.

Maya and Del's story is no exception. You will find yourself laughing and crying along with the characters.

Even if you've never visited Fool's Gold before Thrill Me can be read as a stand alone book.

Maya Farrow and Del Mitchell parted ways ten years ago and both recently returned to Fool’s Gold. Despite Del being heartbroken earlier, he never would have gone out in the world and achieved his huge success in extreme sports, if Maya hadn’t left him. Thrill Me is a warm, engaging story from beginning to end. Hoping more of the Mitchell brothers will show up in future visits to Fool’s Gold.

I really enjoy Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series. Thrill Me is no exception. The characters are lovely and fun. It is somewhat predictable with boy knew girl back when. Boy and girl grew apart over the years. Boy and girl meet up as grown ups and fall back in love. But isn't that what a good romance is about? I love the town of Fool's Good and all of the crazy characters who are re-occuring, from Mayor Marsha to all of the shop owners. They add interest to each and every story line.

This author writes about a make believe town that is enchanting-everyone helps everyone else and almost all the people there get along. The story is about a couple falling in love all over again while others about them have stories of their own. This book is predictable with the ever present happy ending and little from start to finish that surprises the reader. True emotion seems to be lacking. However, the story is a feel good romance and a quick read about familiar characters.

Thrill Me, the latest entry in the Fool's Gold series, is just as fun and romantic as the others! Maya and Del were high school sweethearts, but scared of making a commitment at the age of eighteen, Maya broke it off and ran away. Ten years later they both find themselves back in Fool's Gold and forced to work together! Sparks fly and characters from past stories show up and rally around them, plus we get to meet characters that are sure to show up in books yet to be published. You can never go wrong with a visit to Fool's Gold!

If you are familiar with Susan Mallery's work, then you know it is a mix of comedic wit and sighing romance :)

If you aren't, this is a fun book to read. Everyone likes second chance stories, and this is no different. I enjoyed "watching" Del and Maya through their self discovery.

Eddie & Gladys have always provided comic relief, but I was actually pleased with the additional depth that they were given. I can actually say that I really like them now, and look forward to more expanded roles in the future.

Another "can't miss" story from Fool's Gold! Maya Farlow returns to Fool's Gold after Mayor Marsha offers her a wonderful new job. About the same time, Del Mitchell returns home to Fool's Gold. Del and Maya were teen sweethearts who went their separate ways many years ago after a breakup. This is their story. Quite enjoyable read with several twists and turns along the way - Including more of Eddie and Gladys! You have to love these two crazy old ladies!! Love Fool's Gold!!

Thrill Me is another wonderful story filling the lives of residents in Fools Gold. This is the story of Del and Maya. When they were younger they were engaged but Maya called it off because she was scared and so she lied to Del. Thrill Me is the latest installment in Susan Mallery's Fool' Gold series and I think this is my favorite one yet. Maya is intelligent and beautiful but a little insecure. Del is handsome and ready to settle down but not sure if he can trust Maya again. All my favorite characters are back including Mayor Marsha, Gladys and Eddy. The story is entertaining, if a little predictable. I laughed with the characters as they made their way back to each other. The last minute road block to their happily ever after was unintentionally caused by Del's mom and that was the most predictable part of the story. The rest was very entertaining and I can't wait to visit Fool's Gold again.

In this one, we have a couple , in love as teens but were too young and thinking they needed different things in life. Happily, life AND the local Mayor Marsha put them back in their hometown where they realize that compromises can be made to allow them to fulfill their love for one another. It was another of the authors books that I found hard to put down.

Ok---this story worked for me. Two estranged people (Maya and Del) return home, work through their difficulties and find each other 'again'. I loved the bond between Maya and Elaine, I love a special sisterhood. The Mitchell 'boys' are all in need (of help) because of Cellach and their family issues. Eddy and Gladys are my two all-time favorites, especially in Kiss Me and here in Thrill Me. Two old gals with spunk and heart!

Some of the story can get a bit repetitive for long time readers of a series such as FG but I just know to expect that & enjoy the ride. This story is features Maya and Del, they used to be a couple & are now trying it again. Its always fun to watch the love story unfold & I am so happy to be reunited with the rest of the crazy FG townsfolk.

I really enjoyed this Fool's Gold book. This story is about Maya & Del, they have history together that has never been resolved. Of course Mayor
Marsha throws them together on a tourist campaign. They work well together because she has talents & he has his. They start a relationship of
sorts but secrets come between them. His family & her have a lot of them. They have some soul searching to see if they can forgive & be together in work & life forever.

The Fool's Gold series has been great, and this latest entry is no exception. The formula might be a little predictable by now (Eddie and Gladys will be lecherous, festivals will happen, the mayor has the sight or whatever) but Mallery is an excellent writer who can make it still seem fresh. And there were just enough throwback references to previous books to make longtime readers happy. I felt like the supporting characters (particularly Del's mom) were more interesting and in focus than either Del or Maya, who kind of felt like many of the other couples in this series. Overall a good read.

Omg! Not only was the relationship between Del and Maya amazing to read and totally sigh worthy, but this book had some major secrets being revealed! Wow! I was so shocked. I was seriously gaping along with the characters when they were revealed. Here I thought I knew everything about Fool's Gold but Ms. Mallery still manages to surprise me in a very good way. And those Mitchell brothers...yum. Can't wait for their stories next if they're in the works.

again we get to see another Fools Gold town member fall in love whom we meet earlier in the series. This time it is Maya, who was romantically linked to Del when they were teenagers. Both characters have done some growing up do their paths have crossed again in the "The Destination Romance" town of Fools Gold. While some parts are predictable its what keeps me reading this series the sense of community that Susan has created is what makes me excited for her new releases.

Back to Fool's Gold! I enjoyed this book very much. The characters were well developed. The story was cute. Definitely follows the formula used by the other books in the series. Some unnecessary scenes - the search and rescue scene. That added nothing to the book. Saw a few previous characters. Sometimes it's hard to remember them all but this wasn't overly done. Love the Eddie and Gladys craziness. Loved meeting Del's brothers and hope to read more about them. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I always enjoy a trip to Fools Gold, the storyline is fantastic and the characters are unique. The author centers her story on a couple but blends town folk and smaller events throughout. The combination is an pleasurable read that is impossible to put down. This story has secrets, indecision and attraction as Maya and Del work together, but is a happily ever after in their future? Loved this book!

In Thrill Me. Maya and Del were interesting characters. I enjoyed the fact that they had dated before and that they met again as adults and fell back in love. I loved the book it was a great book. I enjoyed getting to see more of different characters and finding out information about them. It was a book that had ups and downs. Of keeping secrets and sharing. I would recommend to anyone who loves a great romance. (I am part of the review crew)

The romance between the main couple was okay. Both likeable characters but predictable which is to be expected from a series as long-running as the Fools Gold series. I found more interest in the relationship between Del and his "brilliantly temperamental" father and wanting to delver deeper into what I have to assume is a series featuring the remaining four brothers. Still, this is a romance series so it should be the romance that drives the narrative. For me that wasn't case.

Wondering... is it just me or is anyone else starting to just shake their head over Eddie's and Glady's so-called antics. Jill Shalvis had similar old ladies in her Lucky Harbor series. Old gals always making inappropriate comments to the young men in town; trying to get them to take off their clothes, publishing pictures of them on their facebook page/cable access show, etc., etc. I know we're supposed to think of them as feisty and funny but I keep coming back to the idea that if these characters were a pair of old men asking young women to strip down and show their butts on cable access that we'd described them as lewd and lechy (and kinda gross)...

The newest book in Fool’s Gold, lives up to expectations. Maya and Del former sweethearts who both left Fools Gold with broken hearts meet up again. Their story examines the complexities of their lives, their families and the secrets that are all too familiar in Fool’s Gold. I love the way that Susan Mallery seems to be letting us know the characters all the way through her last two and now this book. Susan makes us feel happy, sad and sometimes a little angry at her characters. I think it makes them more real. In addition, there is always something to laugh about especially whenever Eddie and Gladys are around. And as always, there are some teasers about future books.. Have fun reading Thrill Me.

Another installment in the Fool's Gold Series and they just keep getting better and better! This story is about Maya and Del who dated ten years ago, broke up and both moved away. Now they're back and are put in the awkward situation of having to work together on a project to promote tourism in their hometown. I love this series because you not only hear about the people the current story is about but it also brings in people you have already met. Also makes you wonder who the next book will be about!

I really enjoy Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series. Thrill Me is no exception. The characters are lovely and fun. It is somewhat predictable with boy knew girl back when. Boy and girl grew apart over the years. Boy and girl meet up as grown ups and fall back in love. But isn't that what a good romance is about? I love the town of Fool's Good and all of the crazy characters who are re-occuring, from Mayor Marsha to all of the shop owners. They add interest to each and every story line.

This author writes about a make believe town that is enchanting-everyone helps everyone else and almost all the people there get along. The story is about a couple falling in love all over again while others about them have stories of their own. This book is predictable with the ever present happy ending and little from start to finish that surprises the reader. True emotion seems to be lacking. However, the story is a feel good romance and a quick read about familiar characters.

Another wonderful visit to Fools Gold! I truly enjoyed Maya's story. After meeting her in Kiss Me, I really wanted her to find love. Del was a great guy although I wasn't crazy how he flew off the handle when he found out that there was a secret that he had not been told. Of course, he came around at the end. I enjoyed meeting Del's brothers and hope there is a future for them in upcoming books :) Talk about secrets! Buy Thrill ME! You won't be disappointed!

I have and LOVE every book in the Fool's Gold series. It is so fun to read this series because you get to know all the people in the town through each story. You will enjoy some of the quirky people in Fool's Gold. You will like how they always help each other out. I really enjoyed Maya and Del's story. They have issues that they have to work through which makes it an interesting story. It's a fun and hot read! You will not be disappointed!

The third installment of this group of stories is just as captivating as the others. Once you start to read a trilogy of Susan's you will not stop. I am collecting the books in the sets of three so I can read the first, second and third. This time I started when she came out with the first. Had to wait a little for the second and third as I read each one in a little over a day. Going back now to read other sets. You will fall in love with these characters. It's a promise.

I have read almost every book in this series. I love the light hearted romance, the return of characters from others books and the way each character is different from another. They don't look the same or have the exact same personality.
The familiarity and the continuity between all the books provide an ease with which so I can get lost in any book. Even if I've jumped around in the order of the stories. I hope that Ms. Mallery continues writing stories about Fool's Gold and it's residents.

Great book! Susan Mallery has done another wonderful job of continuing the Fools Gold series. The heroine, Maya, is a very strong independent woman who is learning that she hasn’t always been on her own all of these years. People have had her back and truly care and love her.

The addition of the Mitchell family and their intricate secrets made the book even more interesting. I can’t wait to read more about the Mitchell brothers.

I do love stories that focus on a second chance ad that's what Thrill Me is about. Del and Maya were high school sweet hearts that didn't work out, both are back in Fool's Gold as adults. This book was a good addition to the Fool's Gold series, and let me just say I want an Eddie and Gladys in my life. I just can't get enough! I highly recommend this series.

What happens when you meet Mr. Right at the wrong time? Hopefully you're given a second chance when the time couldn't be better. Maya and Del get thrown back together 10 years after their too young romance imploded. She's still not sure she deserves a 'happily ever after' or exactly what's right for her career. He's at his own crossroads with what to do with his life, he has ideas, but needs help with the implementation. Great chemistry and banter between Maya and Del might just lead to the perfect solution for everyone.

Susan Mallery has built a real town with Fool's Gold--there is a sense of reality with the various issues she brings to the story, and manages to do this within the context of a romance story with a HEA. This is the case with Thrill Me, what with a cancer scare and how it is dealt with, and with both Maya and Del having to take career detours, and having to start over again in a town neither one thought they would return to live in. Along the way, we get to experience two very different people who at first glance have very different life paths, but manage to overcome these differences and discover the path they can travel together. Anytime an author writes a long-lived series there will be some elements of predictability, and Susan Mallery is certainly no different with this series, but it is this very predictability that adds to the rich texture found in the town of Fool's Gold. If this is your first encounter with the amazing town of Fool's Gold, I encourage you to read all the other books in the series--they will become your friends, as they have become mine.

Another success by Susan Mallery. I keep wondering when she is going to run out of characters. Every time I read one of these books and a secondary character comes on the scene I am trying to figure out if they are next and if so who will they be paired up with. I love the fact that Susan ties characters back to previous books where you have caught a glimpse of them before. It is fun to read about a character and then see who they are paired up with and say "oh yeah, I remember him and have been waiting for there story". Part of Me wants to go back to the beginning of the fool's gold series and write down all the characters I come across while reading and see if they have been paired up yet. Maybe one day.

Another hit by Susan Mallery. Thrill me is part of the Fool's Gold series. You can read this book by itself, or you can read previous books from the series to learn more about some of the secondary characters. This was a wonderful story about second chances. It also showed how keeping secrets can be dangerous (although not all of the secrets in the story were resolved). This story left me wanting to learn more about Del's brothers. Hopefully they will be the subject of future Fool's Gold stories.

Another great one from Susan Mallery. I love this series and never miss one. Her characters are so lifelike and I feel their pain, rejoice with them, and cry with them. The laughs are plentiful too. Del and Maya are one of those gotta-be-a-couples that you just have to root for and love. They have a few bumps in the road on their way to love, but overcome them all. I love their happy ending and you will too.

Thrill Me is the new book by Susan Mallery. It's the third book of the summer and that allows me to spend quality time in Fool's Gold. I love how the story transports me to a place that I would love to live in, full of magical love stories and characters that capture and keep my interest. Maya's story is no different. I always try to have some undisturbed time to enjoy the story, but I never want it to end. I loved Maya and Del's story, I can't wait to see what Fool's Gold has in store for me next!

Although it can be a standalone book, I suggest reading all of the Fool's Gold books. I love catching up with characters from previous books and finding out what is happening currently in their lives.I can't wait to read the next book, not only to meet more residents of Fool's Gold, but to find out more of Del and Maya's story.

Loved Maya & Del's story. It was an interesting take on young love revisited. I enjoyed the struggle Del has returing home - when not all of his family welcomes him with open arms. I thought Maya's journey was a little choppy at times, but then so is life. The one spot I had trouble with is how Del's Mom deals with illness and her huaband. But, even that opens up conflict and explores the theme of friendship.

Once again Susan Mallery has written yet another winner. A lovely romance full of twists and turns that does
double duty. Helps the town while bringing together two people who need each other the most. Helping old wounds heal and hearts
learn to love again, giving us all hope in finding a lasting love. Two people could not have been better suited and destined to be together
than Maya and Del. I look forward to the next adventure for the town of Fool's Gold. Who will need help next? Can't wait to be drawn in

Maya And Del are back in Fools Gold 10 years after a broken engagement. They find themselves working together while sorting out their feelings. This is another chapter in the Fools Gold series it is an easy if not predictable story. I was left wanting more substance and not so much fluff. Susan Mallery writes wonderful women's fiction but this series if getting stale and boring.

I love the Fool`s Gold series, if it was a real town, I would pack my bags and move there. I have read every book of Susan`s and always love them, her books are heart warming. Susan Mallery delivers again. If you are a fan of the Fool's Gold series, this book will not disappoint. There is one very MAJOR problem, however, The book is difficult to put down. As a result, my joy in reading about Del and Maya was limited to less than 24 hours with significantly less sleep than usual.

What is not to like about "Thrill Me". I love the whole concept of a community working together in "Fools Gold". It is a place I could see myself living. And I feel as though I personally know all the folks Susan Mallery builds her stories around. "Thrill Me" is no exception. Maya Farlow and Dell Mitchell with a big push from the mayor find themselves rekindling there young love while working together. A relaxing and an easy read.

Susan Mallery's newest book 'Thrill Me' has similar writing and storyline to her previous books. It is good and will tug on your heart in places. It takes place in fool's gold and involves previously known characters. Overall it was a little too similar to her other books for me but was a sweet and fun story.

Maya returns to Fool's Gold after leaving 10 years ago. Del, whom Maya was running from also left town. They both return to Fool's Gold and end up working together. They learn more about each other and things happen. They work together to promote the town. Funny, loving, laughing book. As always super good and can't wait for the next book to come out.

I've loved everyone of her Fool's Gold books. One of the things I like about the series is that she revisits characters from earlier books and you get an update on what is going on in their lives and how they crossover into the new story line. Maya and Del were a couple when they were very young and she realized she wasn't ready to get married, but unfortunately wasn't honest with Del. Now he's back in Fool's Gold and working with her, attracted to her, but not willing to trust again.

Susan paints a comprehensive picture of the pair and you fall in love with both, and even knowing the likely outcome, you enjoy the journey.

Previously introduced in a book earlier this summer, we are now getting Maya's story. Loved meeting the Mitchell boys and their parents. Susan Mallery sends us back to Fool's Gold with the formula that is familiar. Can't wait to see the rest of the Mitchell boys take the fall including the twins who live in a town called Happily, Inc. Do I feel a spin off series coming??

This is witty woman's fiction written as only Susan Mallery can write it. It's a story of second chances. Mallery's writing is as warmly romantic but always with a bit of a wink as always. This is so definitely "chick lit", but Mallery keeps it suitably literate and forever entertaining.

Once again Susan has written a wonderful piece of fiction that draws you in. Maya and Dell are the perfect couple who you can't help but fall in love with. Maya broke Dell's heart when she was eighteen because she didn't believe in happily ever after and moved away. Now she is back and has to work with him on a film project, they both still have feelings for each other but tbe they are trying to fight it and Dell doesn't want to be hurt again... All I can say is read the book to find out how everything works out.

Susan Mallery continues to captivate with her Fools Gold Series. With compelling characters and storylines, I can't wait for each new story. Del and Maya face their own demons as they fall in love all over again. I hope to read stories about Del's siblings in the near future!

Loved Del and Maya's story, just kept pushing the Sophie character which wasn't developed or introduced as well as the other dog character in the story with Simon and the therapy dogs. Overall, a must read. Can't wait for Susan's next book.

Fool's Gold sounds like a fun place to visit. It seems like a happening little town. I liked the back story of the couple. I really enjoyed how they had grown as adults and worked together with the sparks between them. And while yes Susan's books in this series do seem to repeat themselves to a degree. I know what type of story I'm getting and that there will be a happy ending.

Took on vacation...loved it... I wasn't sure I was going to like it after having read other reviews. It's a third in line book. But I did. A true... second chance at romance. Better now that time has passed book. I really enjoy Susan Mallery books, they take you away from everyday and leave you wanting more at the end. What a truly good book should do!!! If you like the Fools Gold series you will enjoy the latest installment! This time high school sweethearts, Del & Maya find their way back to each other. Fools Gold is the city of love. Love strikes again with twists and turns. Mayor Marsha put Maya and Dell on a project to work together. Things heated up between them. Smoldering old flames never die! Eddie & Gladys were their entertaining selves. I enjoyed this book.

Second chances with the right man can be exactly what two people need. Mallery's Fool's Gold takes us on a wonderful ride with love, humor, and zaniness. It's mixed with our friends we've come to love. Susan Mallery really knows how to tell a story. Engaging book/series.

I write something similar in all of my reviews of Fool's Gold books. I love the town and all of the people. I like how the main characters had history, but were able to work together. Now I'm curious about Happily Inc.

I enjoyed this book, but it wasn't my favorite of the Fool's Gold books.It is a good story, just not the best. Nothing really stood out in this one, to me. Of course, I wouldn't have turned off the guess who's butt show. LOL. Eddie & Gladys are always a hoot. Read this book, you will enjoy it. I will share it with my friends and family.

I love Susan Mallery and the Fools Gold series. I do however feel like these books need some more depth to them. Don't get me wrong I will still continue to read everything she puts out but they are becoming to predictable and a little short. She will always be a go to author for me but I think I am ready for something new.

I never get tired of reading Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold books. The characters are lovable, and most often ones you can relate to. Maya and Del's story, although a familiar plot, is at times heart wrenching, but filled with love and laughter when revisiting all the characters of Fool's Gold. Susan's books are always a pick-me-up and Thrill Me is no exception to that rule.

First, let me say that I enjoy the Fool's Gold series. I have read all of the books in this series. That being said, I found Thrill Me to be predictable. Boy and girl meet, break up, end up together again. Susan Mallery is one of my favorite authors, but this book was not her best work. If this is your first book in this series, keep reading. The others are much better.

Once again Susan Mallery has written yet another winner. A lovely romance full of twists and turns that does
double duty. Helps the town while bringing together two people who need each other the most. Helping old wounds heal and hearts
learn to love again, giving us all hope in finding a lasting love. Two people could not have been better suited and destined to be together
than Maya and Del. I look forward to the next adventure for the town of Fool's Gold. Who will need help next? Can't wait to be drawn in
to the next adventure for the toen.

Thrill Me is a wonderful addition to the Fool's Gold series.. This is Del and Maya's story and Susan brought it to life and told it with such wit and humor, it was almost impossible to put down. It is definitely moving up to the top of my favorites list.

Maya And Del are back in Fools Gold 10 years after a broken engagement. They find themselves working together while sorting out their feelings. This is another chapter in the Fools Gold series it is an easy if not predictable story. I was left wanting more substance and not so much fluff. Susan Mallery writes wonderful women's fiction but this series if getting stale and boring.

I love the Fool`s Gold series, if it was a real town, I would pack my bags and move there. I have read every book of Susan`s and always love them, her books are heart warming. You feel like you know the people and they are old friends. I loved the unexpected twists and turns of the family reaction to each other

Susan Mallery delivers again. If you are a fan of the Fool's Gold series, this book will not disappoint. There is one very MAJOR problem, however, The book is difficult to put down. As a result, my joy in reading about Del and Maya was limited to less than 24 hours with significantly less sleep than usual.

What is not to like about "Thrill Me". I love the whole concept of a community working together in "Fools Gold". It is a place I could see myself living. And I feel as though I personally know all the folks Susan Mallery builds her stories around. "Thrill Me" is no exception. Maya Farlow and Dell Mitchell with a big push from the mayor find themselves rekindling there young love while working together. A relaxing and an easy read.

Susan Mallery's newest book 'Thrill Me' has similar writing and storyline to her previous books. It is good and will tug on your heart in places. It takes place in fool's gold and involves previously known characters. Overall it was a little too similar to her other books for me but was a sweet and fun story.

Maya returns to Fool's Gold after leaving 10 years ago. Del, whom Maya was running from also left town. They both return to Fool's Gold and end up working together. They learn more about each other and things happen. They work together to promote the town. Funny, loving, laughing book. As always super good and can't wait for the next book to come out.

I've loved everyone of her Fool's Gold books. One of the things I like about the series is that she revisits characters from earlier books and you get an update on what is going on in their lives and how they crossover into the new story line. Maya and Del were a couple when they were very young and she realized she wasn't ready to get married, but unfortunately wasn't honest with Del. Now he's back in Fool's Gold and working with her, attracted to her, but not willing to trust again.

Susan paints a comprehensive picture of the pair and you fall in love with both, and even knowing the likely outcome, you enjoy the journey.

Previously introduced in a book earlier this summer, we are now getting Maya's story. Loved meeting the Mitchell boys and their parents. Susan Mallery sends us back to Fool's Gold with the formula that is familiar. Can't wait to see the rest of the Mitchell boys take the fall including the twins who live in a town called Happily, Inc. Do I feel a spin off series coming??

This is witty woman's fiction written as only Susan Mallery can write it. It's a story of second chances. Mallery's writing is as warmly romantic but always with a bit of a wink as always. This is so definitely "chick lit", but Mallery keeps it suitably literate and forever entertaining.

Once again Susan has written a wonderful piece of fiction that draws you in. Maya and Dell are the perfect couple who you can't help but fall in love with. Maya broke Dell's heart when she was eighteen because she didn't believe in happily ever after and moved away. Now she is back and has to work with him on a film project, they both still have feelings for each other but tbe they are trying to fight it and Dell doesn't want to be hurt again... All I can say is read the book to find out how everything works out.

Susan Mallery continues to captivate with her Fools Gold Series. With compelling characters and storylines, I can't wait for each new story. Del and Maya face their own demons as they fall in love all over again. I hope to read stories about Del's siblings in the near future!

The Fool's Gold books are some of my favorites. I love how they revisit and talk about some of the characters that we read about a long time ago. Dell and Maya's story was great. There was laughter and there was tears. All the makings of a great book!! :) Susan Mallery really knows how to write a good story.

I really enjoyed reading this novel and getting more involved with the characters. I wish I lived in Fools Gold and had a town looking out for me and my family. Someone is always willing to help their neighbor, even with college or coming home. Another great read, can't wait for the next one.

Mayor Marsha is at it again! This time she creates a job for Maya to promote the town through videos. Her assistant, none other than Del, the boyfriend she ran away from 10 years ago. Maya and Del sizzle from the beginning and I enjoyed watching them find one another again.

I always enjoy a visit to Fool's Gold. This one introduces new characters and I can't wait to read about the rest of their stories. The last book in the series was out in the country and I was glad that this one came back into town and we got to see more of the characters we know and love. It's a great read!

In Thrill Me Maya and Del return to Fool's Gold ten yeas older and hopefully wiser. Brought together by Mayor Marsha to work on a town project old feelings start to resurface. They will be put to the test when secrets are revealed. Can they put the past behind or will it separate them again? This time for good?

Thrill Me lives up to it’s name! Excellent, enjoyable read by Susan Mallery. The antics of Eddie & Gladys leave you eagerly turning the page for more. The story of Maya & Del unfolds beautifully and makes me feel as if I should be going to one of the girl’s night sessions in Fool’s Gold! I enjoy every one of the Fool’s Gold series and Thrill Me is no exception. An excellent get away escape!!

Probably shoulders be once. I believe the author forgot the small town nastiness of her own characters. Maya's second betrayal would not have happened because Eddie and Gladys would have announced the diagnosis and treatment on their cable show. A secret apartment? She was never seen coming from an apartment in the middle of town? Wouldn't a responsible physician ask to speak with family members about treatment? Instead of lying by omission to Del about his mother, Maya could have asked her pastor for guidance--if she knew one. Or what about Mayor Marsha? The other secrets revealed about the Mitchells would have been hard to hide as well. The tracksuit girls have been around for awhile.

I enjoyed this book. Susan Mallery always comes through. I found the hero, Del to be more lighthearted than the average Fools Gold hero. It was a great story. Less of a past relationship story and more of friend's to lovers setup. Great book!

Just when I think the Fools Gold series can't get any better it does! I keep saying "oh that has got to be my favorite," then the next one comes out. I hope that soon this series is made into a movie. I can just see the characters come to life.. Well done Susan, well done... NEXT!

I will always love Fool's Gold...no doubt about it!! It sounds like my happy place! With that being said, I am a little disappointed with this book. It was just too predictable. I was hoping for a little more action, or surprises, or something to keep me going. Susan Mallery is still one of my favorite authors but I think I'm getting tired of this series.

I have read all of the "Fools Gold series", this book combines romance, funny and heartwarming all rolled up in one. The characters in this book come to life and you can't wait to read what happens next. Maya and Del are explosive together, its a must read. Can't wait for the next romantic comedy.
