LOVE Peter Falk, and this book is just fabulous. Short, entertaining, often laugh-out-loud funny vignettes of his life experiences as an actor, producer, artist, and more. Falk was such an enormous artistic, creative talent who quite simply knew how to tell a story. LOVED this book.

Peter Falk has written the ultimate autobiography, although Mr. Falk himself insists that it isn't an autobiography. The book is written in short chunks, each a hilarious anecdote from his life, which would make it very easy to put down between stories--except that it is so much fun that you can't put it down.

Visit pre-Castro Cuba, Tito's Yugoslavia, and Cold War Russia, all through the eyes of the detective in the rumpled raincoat.

This book deserves more than five stars: it is Peter Falk at his best... the great actor can entertain in many roles.. as actor, as artist, as author. He has a lot of interesting stories to tell. And he does it in a brilliant way. He brings us a lot of interesting stories - about his life and work. No doubt, Peter Falk is one of the greatest!

Peter Falk devotees will hear his voice so immediately and authentically they'll think he's in the room with them. Nearly split my drawers laughing out loud by page seven and his eye test at Ossining High School. If you've an eye for some right Falkonian writing, this book is for you.

Peter Falk will always be known as Columbo, and the title of the book stems from a common line his character used. I always loved Columbo as a character and the shows were inventive and well-written. His time as Columbo and insights into the show and its production should've been the central theme of this book. Apart from that, I wanted to learn more about Falk and how he met his wives and what really makes him tick. The book's vignettes are moderately amusing, but don't tell us a lot about Falk and his meal-ticket, Columbo or his personal life. I'm not sure whether or not it was Falk or the editor making the error, but the book first refers to him making a film in "Siberia". Later in the book it talks about that film being produced in "Serbia". It was obviously in Serbia by the description. Too much time is dedicated to John Cassavetes and assorted other Falk cronies. I'm sure Falk can write an autobiography with more substance than this.

Quick read, mildly entertaining. He talks about his encounters with old stars from yesteryear during his career. Remembering Columbo, I found it more entertaining than someone younger. You probably have to be over 50 to appreciate it.

Peter Falk's book was nothing but a few stories. He only talks about a few Columbo episodes, He is so brief and uninteresting. Also , he talks about his buddies too much. Who cares about John Cassavetes! He talks like he's some filmmaking genius. If you want to read about Peter Falk and his life as an actor, it's sadly left out. He doesn't even talk about how he met his wives. Sadly, a very dissappointing book. Not recommended!
