Protector (Night War Saga Book 1)

Protector was even better than I expected! I devoured it in hours. Allie is just a normal college girl...who happens to be able to read people's energy! One day she  is drawn to a crystal that sends out a beacon to her home...which happens to be Asgard! She finds out that she is the only reason that Earth is still alive and the only person standing between the dark goddess Nott, and the demise of Earth! She meets 4 guys who turn out to be her protectors, sworn to keep her safe so she can defeat Nott. The unteractions between her and her boys are second only to her hilarious inner commentary. This is a fantastic start to what is sure to be an amazing series. It is nicely paced and the characters are well rounded and interesting. I cant wait to see where this series goes!

In Protector (Night War Saga Book 1) we meet Allie, a college student who is trying to balance college studies and a social life. Allie is a great protagonist because she is strong, mostly rational (for a college student), loyal, funny and all around likable. When four mystery men invade her life Allie is faced with some tough decisions. When they show her that the world she lives in is more than what meets the eye, and Allie's eyes have seen a lot, she needs answers and details! With all this new information Allie explores her relationship with her 4 new friends and tries to validate and process everything they have told her which helps her to find what her real calling/destiny is. Allie steps into her new life with passion and courage (and humor/snark) that kept me glued to the pages. Protector had a great balance of action, angst, humor, and dialogue (dialogue between characters and Allie's own inner dialogue which is absolutely hilarious). So if you are looking for a great series then Protector is your book. Also, if you are looking for a fresh twist on Norse Mythology then Protector is your book. Protector is a great start for a fun new series in The Night War Saga. I look forward to the second book Defender which cannot release soon enough. Happy Reading!

This is a great YA story full of romance, excitement, Norse mythology, humour, magic and hot guys. Allie is shocked and disbelieving, when four hunks claim to be her protectors, and the thrilling adventure begins when they reveal to her some life changing secrets. This is an excellent first book the series; you are quickly drawn into the action filled adventure, and you can not help but become attached to the great charters. Allie is a sweetheart and her strength, humour and determination shines bright, Tore is tough, serious, but he has a heart of gold and a bod to die for, Mack, Brodie and Johann are an entertaining protective combination, their personalities compliment, they are funny and down to earth, yet at the same time they are able to kick supernatural butt with the best of them. This is a very enjoyable story that keeps your attention right to the end and will appeal to large age range of readers. I will look forward to the continuation of the story in the next book.

Protector was everything I had hoped it would be! I seriously love the references to Norse Gods/Goddesses & mythology! The story was so interesting I could NOT put it down once I started!
I have a serious love for Allie's guys! Tore, Mack, Bodie & Johann kept me laughing and completely in love! Especially Tore and Mack, they're the best! And can we all just take a moment to appreciate how amazing Mack is?!
Allie is awesome. She's interesting and even dealing with everything she stays strong!
I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to read book 2! It is gonna kill me waiting for Defender. :'(
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series! It's GREAT!

What can I say other than it was fracking amazing!!!! Not only does this book give you Norse Mythology, but also action, adventure, and a romantic tale of two people, who fall in love. I loved every moment of this book! I loved reading Allie’s story and all of the her protectors just melted my heart. Mack is the most kindhearted and loving individual ever – total Team Mack. Bodie is the sweet flirt. Johann is the playful and intense guy of the group. And finally, there is Tore – the most intense one out of the bunch! At first, he comes off as a jerk, but later, you are able to see his soft side and can’t help but love him. And then there is Allie, who, is a complete badass in her own way. I love that she doesn’t let the hard things in life get her down and tries to overcome it all. And combine Allie and Tore together…. Well let’s just say that they have a pretty intense connection. Oh, I LOVE how throughout the entire book, even when Tore gave her the cold shoulder, she thought that Tore was hot-stuff! “It wasn’t my fault the world’s most irritating guy had the world’s most impressive butt.” SOOOO FUNNY!!! And the ending… Uh I cannot wait till the next book – It can’t come fast enough! The writing and the storyline was simply beautiful! Leia Stone and S.T. Bende did an amazing job and couldn’t have written a better book!!!!

This was yet another AMAZING book by the great Leia Stone and a great collaboration with S.T. Bende. Normally I'm a Leia Stone reader all the way, as is my teen daughter which is why I started reading the books to begin with. Now I'm in need of a S.T. Bende fix as well. Both of these authors weaved a book with a girl who is showing how to let go of fear and embrace the strength within her with the help of the acidic, sensitive, tough, and family/friend oriented protectors. They show what it is to have each others back while racing around the universe looking for lost pieces of her weapon. I can not wait to see how they tie more good against evil in the following books. If you love mythology read this book you will not be disappointed.. Release day for the next book in line can not come soon enough!! I am looking forward to seeing this book as a top 10 seller and hopefully on track for a series or movie!! AMAZING WORK!!

I absolutely loved Protector as I knew I would. I love everything that Leia Stone writes. However, rarely have I read a first novel in a series that has felt so effortless. It was like I knew all the characters already and was just catching up on their lives. I immediately liked Allie and the crew - well, I had to learn to like Tore but the rest, so many feels. I love that each of the guy brings a different personality trait to the table all wrapped in love and caring and protectiveness. I love the progression of how Allie learns about all her strengths and how they seem to appear at exactly the right times. I'm super into the energy aspect of Allie's spirit and how she is able to look at each of the chakra levels to learn about herself or others. I feel like I'd want this ability the most of hers - what a great way to find empathy.

Oh My Goddess Protector is a Drop Dead Gorgeous Must Read that keeps UR heart racing full of killer action, magic, mystery lol funny humor N epic romance.. I devoured it in one sitting nothing could tear me away!

Wow, just wow! I have followed Leia Stone for awhile and absolutely love her books. The way she writes just grabs you and sucks you into the story to where the real world doesn't even exist anymore. I'm new to S.T. Bende but with the way this collaboration went, I'm now a follower as well! This is yet another book that allows me to escape the real world and to enjoy an alternate universe.
I'm completely new to Norse mythology and loved how it was woven into the story. I am thrilled with the way this concept worked out for this book. The inner dialogue of the heroine along with the 4 hot guardians (not to mention the Mack Pack-more please!) sucked me right in.
This book has action, humor, suspense and romance all rolled up into one perfectly wrapped package. Can't wait for the next book!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this introduction to Allie and her protectors. Tore was a perfect brooding hero, though to be honest Mack is the one that really stole my heart. Who doesn't love a big (hot) teddy bear?! I loved Allie's inner dialogue and that she reacted as one would expect if suddenly finding out that they aren't who they really thought they were. I don't want to say any more so as to not spoil it for you- but if you enjoy mythology, badass yet relatable heroines, and sexy hunks that have her back when needed- then this book is definitely for you!

When you bring the two queens of mythology together you cannot get anything but an excellent book.

In Protector you get S.T.'s sweetness and Leia's sassyness in spades.

The story? One fierce lady surrounded by a circle of godly protectors, ready to take on the task of saving the world from all consuming darkness.

On the side? Some love, a lot of fun and an unbreakable sense of friendship and togetherness.

I already knew I loved these authors individually, but together they are writing an EPIC mythological fantasy story! Allie is blindsided when she learns that everything she thought she knew about herself and her family is a lie and now she is thrust into a world of gods and alternate realms and told that she is the one destined to save them all!! Allie steps up to the plate with the help of some awesome bodyguards and prepares to kick butt!! I cannot say enough good things about the characters and story provided, all I can say is that we could all use a "Fierce Four" to help us reach our potential! I applaud these women on another story which leaves us begging for more, I anxiously await the second installment of this saga.

This Greek Mythology story was hard to put down and you’ll never see the Greek Gods the same again.
Allie is going to have to meet her fate and she’ll have the help of her Asgardian protectors. As first meeting go let’s just say it doesn’t go very well. Now they will have to work together to stop Nott, a Norse Goddess from her plans to take over the weakest of the light realms. And it is going to be dangerous and she’ll need all the help she can get!
I have to say that when it comes to great books I know I’ll never be disappointed in anything that Leia Stone and S.T. Bende write! They are always on my list of must read books. I really can’t wait to read the next Mack Pack Book 2 – Defender!

I was extremely fortunate to receive an early copy of this and I absolutely loved every page of it. I read everything Leia Stone touches, her Matefinder series opened doors for me. Through her books I have found some really amazing writers. St Bende was a new for author for me, I now can't wait to read her other books. I love Norse mythology, I don't typically read the blurb before diving into a book so I was very pleasantly surprised by this little show stopper. Can't wait for more!!

Let me start off by saying, I have loved everything these authors have written. I was beyond excited when I learned of their co-authoring this book. I have come to expect riveting story lines and colorful characters that absolutly draw you into their world and forbid you to put the book down. This book was everything and more!! I was happy to meet Allie. Her inner commentary had me laughing out loud. #mackpack epic nickname and I hope we see a lot more of these guys. Tore was fun to figure out and watch his story line unfold. All in all another great read. It was action packed and humorous, a great combination!!!. It was another great world to slip into. Bravo ladies I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series!!

I absolutely love Leia Stone, every time I finish another one of her books I swear it is my favorite. Protector is about the story of Allie who believes she is just another normal college student. Allie finds out things are not what they seem - she is actually a pretty big deal. Enter four very hot guardians whose job is to help Allie accept her new role.

This book is full of all my favorite things - mythology, hilarious hot guys, love, humor, and action. I agree with other reviews that Allie tended to act a bit immature. Once I realized this was a young adult novel, it made more sense to me.

This book is an absolute must read. It has everything from a kick ass heroine, sexy demi-gods, and Norse mythology. The story line is original and kept me captivated and I was unable to put the book down. There is great character development and depth to the characters. There is plenty of excitement and a dash of romance. Highly recommend this book! Leia Stone and S.T. Bende did a fantastic job.

I really enjoyed reading this book. A strong heroine, believable cast of characters. No redescribing things just to feed word requirements. No gratuitous sex. I really would rather build that fantasy myself. It didn't have a lot of pointless things. A tight, enjoyable book. Thank-you for a good read.

This was my first introduction to Leia Stone, and it won't be the last book I read from her! She and S.T. Bende created a great addition to Bende's previous works in Norse mythology. I laughed out loud too many times to count. The pacing was just right, and I loved the characters! They all have distinct personalities and I loved getting to know them. I am excited to see where these two writers take us in the next book, Defender, coming out this summer.

Little did I know combining two authors together would be so awesome! This book was absolutely amazing! I'm not going to lie at first I was a little iffy about reading it. Thinking it was going to be the same thing you read all the time. So I took a chance and was blown away. Totally looking forward to the next book!

Join Allie on her journey from a "typical" freshman Environmental Studies Major to becoming vital to the Night War. I appreciated how Allie's character developed throughout the story and how the supporting characters contributed to the complex & intriguing plot. I loved how diverse Allie's Protectors are both in character traits and backgrounds. I can't wait to see where Allie's story will lead (including her & Tore's romance!), but also who (hopefully!) each of her other Protectors will end up with. Will Allie defeat Nott and save Earth? I guess we will just have to keep reading :)

It's cool that she's a regular girl that has to step it up and watch her go through the process. Once again the back-up boys are the backbone of the pack and keep things fresh with comic relief. Looking forward to the next book in the series, this one leaves you wanting more!

If you're already a fan of either of these authors I'm sure you won't be disappointed, and if you are a YA fantasy lovers this will be a great read for you as well.

Found out about this book and was already in love with it before reading it and it did not disappoint its amazing love the story I started and I did not stop till I was done. Such a interesting and fun story it took me in quite a ride I wish I was living that story myself can't wait for the next one so excited ?

I really enjoyed book 1. This was very well written and had everything a great fantasy book should have. It's defiantly a slow romamce build up, however the passion is still there, which makes you want to read faster to get to the build up. I really enjoyed it and look forward to book 2.

Loved! Allie is awesome! Her internal dialogue mimics my own and had me cracking up! Myself being from the PNW I loved the setting of the book! All in all this is a great read, very easy to get through and immediately hooks you. #mackpack

AMAZING!!! This has such a fun interesting twist of characters and mythology! The storyline is easy to follow but cunning enough to keep you drawn in! The dynamic of the group balances well and I simply couldn't put it down!! I love Leia and I'm a ST fan now too! Give it a shot,

If you have any hesitation about this book, GET OVER IT! This is by far one of the best series I've read and I have read the whole series over 4 times and it never gets old. The perfect combination of mythology, romance, and adventures with friends and family. Once you start reading it i promise you will not put it down!
