Robert Ludlum's (TM) The Bourne Initiative (Jason Bourne series)

Lustbader doesn't bring his best game to this book! Just a little lose and at times not up to the Bourne style that we've all expected!
Bottom line though Bourne on even an off day is better then most!

I enjoyed it. They r getting a little bit repetitive. But still a clever story with plenty of interesting characters. As usual the men in power want to bring Bourne down, permanently,by using anyone they have to. But Jason has other plans.

Have really enjoyed Eric Van Lustbader taking over for Robert Ludlum. Eric has been true to Ludlum's vision of Jason Bourne. Will be looking forward to the next installment in the series. I highly recommend Eric Van Lustbader continuation of the Robert Ludlum Jason Bourne series.

Not nearly as good as previous stories. The yarn had Bourne expert in Arab Muslim culture, history and languages, which would take many years to master. Difficult to keep track of all Muslim character's names and good guys from bad guys.

This Jason Bourne series remains high level suspense. Blending the idea of germaine, dynamic world politics with the fictional adventures of Jason Bourne results in a must read from Robert Ludlum (TM) and Eris Van Lustbader. I'm hooked!

How old is Jason Bourne? Well, Robert Ludlum's first book about him was (I believe) published in 1980. So, what, maybe 50, or 60, or more? And how many wounds must he have? There are at least 3 or 4, many near fatal, ones in each book. That fact would seem to age one even faster.

Not so! Bourne is immortal! He proves it again in Van Lustbader's newest rendition. And his archenemy, Boraz, seems almost as invulnerable. What more can one say?

Van Lustbader is no Robert Ludlum but he's still pretty good. Writing is crisp and the story line keeps one turning the pages. Enjoyable!

Not as well constructed as some of the previous Lusterbader written Bourne books with some slowing moving parts containing much detail, but not advancing the plot. The conclusion came fast, ended abruptly, and could have been more detailed concerning the affects on the characters.

Van Lustbader has done it again. This is another great read; and an exciting continuation of the Bourne series. The story is fast pace. What I really liked best was the conflict of religion and parenthood; religion and retribution can drive people to do hurtful and destructive things all in the name of God. I cannot provide more details because that would give away most of a very good story line. I would strongly advise you to follow the narrative and be fascinated with how things unfold.

I look forward to the next Bourne saga.

This book was pretty good. Just a couple minor criticism, and a major one.
Minor: cool lesbian scene, but not really that necessary. Did little for the plot or character development.
Minor two: I realize Americans have a really duragatory attitude towards anyone from the Middle-East, but really, you make the President of the United States have the same attitude?
Major: I am so freaking sick of the plot device of government agencies trying to kill Bourne without having no clue what the crap is going on. It's the same thing since book one when Ludlum wrote him. They assume since they can't control him that he's a threat and are looking for an excuse to kill him.
Aside from that, the book is good. Read it.

Robert Ludlum will not be duplicated. Mr. Lustbader tries but like most that try to follow their originals, he fails. The book is not bad but not great. Specifically their are too many names that sound alike - example Sorya, Sonya, Sara. I found the book a bit hard to follow; however if one would read the book over two or three days rather than 2 weeks as I did, I am sure it would make a big difference. The bottom line is that Bourne is still Bourne.
