Enjoyed this second portion of the story and it seems that the third book promises to be more interesting. Was very sorry to see two characters died. I’m wondering what’s going to happen to the remaining Idraxes family? I wonder how long the girls will be in this new place? Is Time the same in both planets?

I feel like I am slowing getting into their series. I enjoyed it and was entertained. It was a tad predictable at times (Seraphina I saw you coming a mile away) and didn’t have the same Bella cliffhanger (IMHO) but there were plenty of twists and turns. I was super annoyed with Riley early on (seriously, who couldn’t see that was a trap?) but it’s been interesting to see her evolution in this book. I also enjoy the new worlds and space travel outside the world of The Shade.

Bella is so amazing at creating worlds. You can picture each detail she describes in this series. It’s amazing the imagination she has. This book was so great! Just like all her others. Can’t wait for the next one!!
Paranormal Dating Agency Volume 1 (BBW Paranormal Shape Shifter Romance) :: A Shade of Kiev (Volume 1) :: The Secret of Spellshadow Manor 6 - The Spell (Volume 6) :: The Gender Game 4: The Gender War :: A Shade of Vampire 50: A Clash of Storms

What an awesome book! This is not Bella’s traditional vampire book, but it was phenomenal! Im convinced that anything she writes is ALWAYS going to be over the top. This book was great. I don’t know how she was able to separate herself from her A Shade Of Vampire books to create a whole new type of vampire and give it a twist with a syfy effect! You wont be disappointed. It had me on the edge of my seat. I was so jittery with excitement to find out what was going to happen next it was hard to sit still. This second book was just as good as the first one in the series if not BETTER! I love the romance between the characters. Its amazing to watch them develop into two new beings once they establish a relationship with each other. All I can say is keep them coming Bella!!!

I can't believe all the back handed people. Everywhere Navan and Riley turn they have some one betraying or backstabbing them. It seems they are way in over their heads. I'm hoping with the arrival and bravery of Lauren and Angie as well as our level headed Basherik in the midst they may have a chance at real survival. Not to mention the tension between Angie and Basherik. I mean you cut it like a slice of moist cake right through. Those two need to come to terms with their feelings. I swear the back and forth seems like a way to prove they aren't into each other when clearly they are. As for Lauren I believe she will prove to be more useful than we think her roll has yet to fully unfold and I can't wait to see what she comes up with. Anticipation, awaiting the next book to be released in February is almost to much to bear thankfully we have ASOV and the girl who Dared to think to keep us savy for the time being.

I liked the containing storyline. But the point at which Riley visits the alien planet then it becomes a little unbelievable and hard for me to get into the story. A girl from earth can suddenly talk to and understand an alien species? It makes some sense that Navan can communicate with Riley since he visited Earth. But that makes no sense that Riley can talk with coldbloods on his planet, surely the aliens are not speaking in a language she understands? Then at the end Riley suggests her friend read the books in the Queens library? Now that is too unbelievable, the author wants me to believe an earth girl can read and understand alien books? Or am I supposed to believe that our earth English language and writing have its origins from an alien planet? My interest in the story line was holding good until we arrived on Navan's home world.

I had a hard time staying interested in the first book as I felt it was ‘slow’. The ending was a cliffhanger as the second book is, and getting into the se one book, I had hoped that the romance part would kick in...but it didn’t. I really wanted to get lost in this book/series, but I couldn’t. It lacked details I wanted to know about Navan since he’s an alien. This would be a good read for a teenager, but not for a mature readers who like a lot of romance.

As always, Bella has wrote another awesome book!! It just amazes me how she can keep writing so many books. A Shade of Vampire (one book every month), The Girl Who Dare Series, Spellshadow Manor Series, The Gender Series, and now HotBloods and ColdBloods. And to keep them all separate and making the reader always want more. The romance is exciting with all the characters and that is with all her books. How she keeps all the story lines separate is beyond me. Once again Bella, you have done a spectacular job and I love to see how the relationship develops between Riley and Navan! Thank you again!

The storyline in this series continues to build upon itself offering both exciting and tense situations for the main characters. The romance between Riley and Navan is given free-reign to grow and develop in this book. You don't see a lot in the sexual side of a relationship for them, but I felt they definitely grew closer emotionally. I enjoyed not knowing from one page to the next who was a friend or foe and what new crisis would arise or be averted.

Such a difference between the two Queens! Navan and Riley never have a dull moment. They barely get away from Queen Gianne; but, have no choice and have to land on the North side and work with Queen Brisha. Hope they make it back to Earth!

I chose this rating because I really like the story. From the beginning of the first book, I was intrigued. The characters change chapter by chapter. So much diversity between male and female species. Anyone who enjoys Syfy

Very different twist on the norm. The first book is a little slow to get going but eventually builds up pace. The thing that hangs me up is that a totally different species on a far distant planet speaks and writes in English...
