The Secret of Spellshadow Manor 4 - The Keep (Volume 4)

Excellent series, suspenseful, and refreshingly imaginative. My only complaint is the improper use and overuse of the word "mutter." I should have had my Kindle count how many times Alex muttered during a normal conversation.

This is great if you like things like Harry Potter or the T. V. Series Little witches all those years ago, Matilda fans and Ms. P's school for peculiar children then you'll really enjoy Spell Shadow Manor. Bella Forrest has a way of making you feel like it could be real. The way things happen or how they're explained... It's like 10 times more believable than anything you've ever read.

Since I started the series I feel compelled to finish them & the story has gotten better as the books advance but the writing leaves a lot to the imagination with a lot of filler words that don't really paint a picture. Could use more description without trying to throw big words around... Sometimes simple is better when trying to make a story come to life before the eyes of the reader. Not sure I'd recommend the series- it seems like a lot of reading/books for a story that could haves been told in 2 maybe 3 books rather than 6.

Another great addition to the adventures of Alex in his pursuit to escape the magic realms to get back to his mother. Some new characters and some old ones ... a few more interesting lessons and the obligitory twists, turns, lies and truth and associated betrayals. Enjoy.
