I always enjoy Patrick Swayze movies. He played so many different roles so well. I also enjoy the Hollywood legend stories too. The book combines many stories as well as life struggles that the couple went through. Well written so even I could follow it. definitely worth a read.

This book is worth every $$! The main story is his life and his marriage. I love the way he tells his good points of his life a long with the bad. I have read the book 2 times. Each time I read it i get more out of it. I cried and laughed right along with him and Lisa. I came away with knowing the inside of his feelings about each movie that he made. Also, the strength of his and his wife's LOVE for each other. It is "A True Love Story".
I will probably wait a few months to read it again. MY heart goes out to Lisa, for to have such a wonderful "MAN" and loose him at such a early age. They were looking forward to many years ahead of them.
The family pictures are worth the price of the book. I loved the way each chapter tied everything together as the years of their lives grew in THE GREAT LOVE STORY. At times I could just picture the happens in my mind.
If you want to read a True Love....."Read It" ....They LIVED it!
ALL my prayers to Lisa and his family...His MOM.

I just finished reading this & I was geniunely surprised and inspired by it all at the same time. I always loved Patrick's acting, dancing & singing but I really never felt like I knew much about him as a person. This book changed that. It is well written and it really flowed nicely from chapter to chapter. Patrick was very strong physcially but mentally he had his insecurites like everyone else and life wasn't all peaches and cream for him, but he made the best of things and always tried to keep a positive attitude and do better. His love for Lisa was profound & intense & it sounds like even though they had their share of heartache that they remained true to each other. I strongly recommend this for all Swayze fan's but also people who need hope and inspiration in their lives.

First I read "Worth Fighting For". In that book they made reference to Patrick writing this book. Although "Worth Fighting For" was very inciteful, it didn't give me the history of Patrick's life before the cancer. I did not know he was such a talented man and had an amazing life. I now want to rent all of his movies!

This book was everything I was anticipating. Being a huge fan it was so interesting to read about the ups and downs of their careers, and the wonderful marriage they had. The strength he had and the pain he endured for his career was amazing.

Had no idea what kind of life Patrick Swayze had. He lived life to the fullest with his soulmate by his side. This made me feel a bit better about his passing. Wanted more so immediately ordered his wife's book "Life Worth Living" this might be a little more emotional, but its good!

I found this wonderfully reflective book so easy to enjoy. Even though you are well aware of the outcome, I found it so enlightning and honest that I could not put it down.......I wished for more when I had finished, but sadly, there is no more. I did not find it a sad book to read or even to review, anything but!!!!! Patrick doesn't dwell on the cancer but it is interwoven in the story of his life, along with other trials and incidents he had to endure and overcome. A great read, I will read it again one day!
RIP Patrick

I loved this beautifully written book-simple and honest written by Patrick and Lisa-a walk through the lives of two of the most special people. Strong and dynamic-"a man amongst men" and his exciting and talented life. Their simple principles-their love for each other and the battles and searching for the best. I could not put it down and can recommend it to married couples and people to peek at the life of dancers and real people. Not one bit of plastic or false conversation. Straight from the heart and some deep thoughts about life and the battles we all face. Blessings to Lisa for her wonderful gift to all their fans and friends to remember a wonderful man.

Absolutely awesome book. Very touching and it's nice to know that there are good men out there. Patrick could have had anyone he wanted but he chose integrity over all else and stayed faithful to the love of his life.

I enjoyed the book very much. Patrick and Lisa were very honest and definitely shared intimate details of their long lasting relationship. The book flowed so smoothly that I read it in a matter of days. I remember seeing Patrick for the first time on TV in the mini-series North and South and thought what a great guy, both sensitive but also very masculine, plus easy on the eyes. Then after Dirty Dancing, well, what woman didn't find him sexy and attractive. I even named my second son, Patrick, after him, because I wanted a strong masculine name and also someone I admired. We all lost a great human being. I thank he and Lisa for sharing their story because it shows what a commitment they had for each other and their marriage, and even through the rough times, they managed to work it out. It is definitely a love story but not sappy. This was definitely an inpsirational story for me and am grateful to have read it.

I was very surprised to read about the challenges that Patrick faced. It was delightful to read about the relationship he had with his wife (a non-Hollywood type of marriage.) He was full of wild adventure and his wife was such a solemate to share these passions. Great Love Story.
