The Monster Hunter world of MHI just keeps getting better and better! MHA was a page turner from start to finish, building on story lines that were left untold from the original MHI - not for the faint of heart, if you like action scenes, strong character development and a great ending you'll LOVE MHA and the entire series!

The third installment in the MHI series lives up to the anticipation created while waiting for it. Larry Correia has done another amazing job with this book, told from Earl Harbinger's unique point of view. I highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a kick butt monster book to read. Full of action and humor it kept me reading through the night :)

Just loved it, the caracters are great, have great sense of humor and are identifiable, even in werewolf form.
The story is well written and well thought out, and leave a lot of space for future stories to come. I liked Heather, brave and quirky, just like you would want to be, so definitely would recommend this to anyone who likes a good action packed book with interesting twists and characters. I just didn't want it to end, so will look forward to the next one from Larry Correia.

I really don't have anything substantive to add to what other reviewers have said, but I wanted to add my voice to the chorus. In all or Correia's books the action starts by about page 3 and continues non-stop through the end. He is one of my top 2 favorite authors (Jim Butcher being the other). I HIGHLY recommend every book in this series as well as the Grimnoir Chronicles.

Larry Correia just keeps getting better. I'm reading his monster series in order and each book shows more depth of story and characters. Normally in a series, authors tend to get tired of their characters and just re-hash plots from old, but Larry Correia is the opposite. His writing gets better with each book and the story just makes me want to buy more and more. I'm now on the last one in the series, and have hit that awful "I have to wait for the next one book to come out" phase.
SYNOPSIS: Nemesis is good as a stand alone, but I recommend starting with the first book "Monster Hunter International". (You will love Owen, Abomination, and Julie!) Nemesis is the story of Earl. It's told partly from his journals of when he first learned to control himself as a werewolf, and in the modern day when he is protecting a town full of stoked super werewolves and assorted scary monsters. Nemesis also has introduced one of my new favorite characters. She is a deputy and with Earl's help, manages to save her town, while knowing she will pay a terrible price. I love the way Correia writes romance. He's such a guy! His characters bond over blowing up stuff, shooting bad things, and Molotov cocktails. The government characters are half heroic, and half greedy selfish rotten people - just like in real life! The townsfolk are divided between the sheep that argue 'werewolves don't exist!' - that's the group that gets eaten first, and the 'take charge with a shotgun/protect the children' types. The later category work together to save most of the town.
My only complaint about Correia is that he is too into gun descriptions. My eyes glaze over when he gets into details of caliber and weapons etc. I skip over that part, but understand also that it's what the author loves. He writes what he loves and he apparently really loves to talk about the specifics of weapons, so I'll not fault him for that.
Overall, I have found a new author that I love and am in the process of reading everything he has written.

Excellent, simply excellent. Aspiring book writers, this is what a five star book in a series looks like. I really liked the change in perspective from the new guy to the "old" guy.
I guess I now have to move to some of Larry Correia's other series now since this is the third and last ?

This is an incredible story - plot twists that I never would have considered, all in the right (perfect!) places, making it an absolute adrenaline rush to read!!! Never a dull moment, especially if you're already familiar with the Monster-Hunter series. A worthy investment of your time!

This book continues Larry Correia's Monster Hunter series by following the adventure of on of it's many bad-ass side characters. Earl Harbinger is beaten up, shot, and but never down. Because this story isn't just told from Earl's prospective we get a chance to witness Correia's character building first hand, each one retaining a surprising amount of complexity despite it being very clear wether they are good or evil. If you liked Monster Hunter International then you owe it to yourself to read this book. If you enjoy fantasy, monster movies and/or guns then you owe it to yourself to pick up this book.

Larry Correia has another winner here. His Monster Hunter Series leaves the reader breathless as his characters fly across the page meeting with one crisis after another. If you want an adrenalin rush without drugs or caffeine, his books are the way to go.

I am a faithful Monster Hunter follower! I must admit that I was a little worried when I realized that this book would depart from the main group and just follow Earl! But this book was just as full of guns, action, comedy, drama, guns, monsters, incredible characters, guns, and drama as any of the others! It's a great read and a guilty pleasure. I've read them all and I can't wait for the next one!

Larry Correia is a literary crack dealer. Oh, sure, the first Monster Hunter novel was a sweet ride, and the next was better, and as we're all jonesing for our next hit, he at least has the decency to bring out the good stuff he'd been holding back on us.
I lost sleep I could not afford to lose reading this book. Oh, well. Four hours of sleep is enough for a fast paced, highly technical, detail oriented job, right?

This is the third installment of a good series. I was disappointed that it did not seem to pick up where the second one left off.. but it was captivating none the less. There were a few predictable twists as there were in the first two but there were a lot more surprises. I look forward to reading any future monster hunter international books and wish I could order some of the patches. Larry has a good modern day Cuthulu setting that stays true to the RPG.

Larry Corriea absolutely writes the best action scenes I've ever found. This is the book where he finally explains Earl. The action is more up close and personal then in his other books, but plot is just as good.

Although it lacks most of the cast of characters, it is a really good book and gives you insight into Harbinger, who is a super interesting character. Such a good series, just wish it had a better title!

I think it was ambitious for Correia to divert from the main story arc and dedicate an entire book to a different character. At first I was like, "Hey, wait a second where's Owen and company?". In the end this has been my favorite of the series, and I hope Correia continues to write "side stories".

Great continuation of a great series. This focus of the book is Earl Harbinger rather than MHI and its other associated characters. I really enjoy Larry Correia's first person POV writing style. It gets you very deep into each of the characters. Already half way through the next book and loving it.
