I started to read Neville because he was referenced so often by other books I was reading. WOW, when I started to read - especially this book of his - I was knocked out. It rings true, it is like a pathway lit from the passages of the bible that I knew, always knew... had a deep meaning and that my upbringing had missed it.
I recommend Neville - and this book - to any one and everyone deeply considering their life.

Neville Goddard is an enlightened author. I've read all his books and each one is a fortune by itself. "Your Faith is your Fortune" is a deep volume of his books based on mind study through scripture. It is a wonderful book and beautifully written by him. I loved it as all his books.

A unique and surprising interpretation of Scriptures leads to a simple and effective pracrice of visualisation. On one thing i don't agree with neville - his assertion that jesus was not a real person. Here, i belive, he is wrong.

The essence of this book is that, “The Scriptures are psychological dramas and will reveal their meaning only as they are interpreted psychologically.” So, in essence, Neville Goddard says that much of what is written in the Bible is not to be taken literally; rather, he feels that those who wrote the Bible were predominantly sharing wisdom through symbols and metaphors and that by understanding the symbols and metaphors we can apply the underlying principles in our own, modern lives.

A key component for us to be able to use the wisdom in the Bible comes from first realizing that we are divine creations coming from an all-powerful source and that we too possess the ability to create our reality. We are not simply pawns tied into a predetermined destiny, we are beings who possess the ability to manifest as we become aware of our ability to do so. In Neville’s own profound words, “…you are not a victim of fate but a victim of faith (your own).”

By using our God-given talents – namely our thoughts, emotions and intentions (desires) – we mold our reality as we wish it to be, rather than as we currently see it. Our senses are able to tell us what currently exists and that is based on our previous thoughts and actions; however, we need to be careful that we do not assume that what currently exists is all that is capable of existing. In other words, “If you judge after appearances, you will continue to be enslaved by the evidence of your senses” and that if you “…go to the end of that which you seek; witness the happy end of it by consciously feeling you express and possess that which you desire to express and possess; and you, through faith, already understanding the end, will have confidence born of this knowledge.”

There are 27 main topics of discussion in “Your Faith is your Fortune” and each of these main topics connects directly to verses from Scripture.
Due to the fact that I personally do not have extensive knowledge of the Bible I cannot say with any certainty how accurate each specific reference is, I can only say that Neville’s interpretation’s do seem realistic and well thought out. Furthermore, regardless of whether or not the initial authors of the Bible were presenting events literally or metaphorically, the interpretations presented in “Your Faith is your Fortune” seem to be a beneficial addition on the quest for personal growth and understanding.

To me, it seems that some ideas transcend religion and are universally acceptable. Ideas such as

“We can only be to others that which we are to ourselves.”

“Education is not accomplished by putting something into man; its purpose is to draw out of man the wisdom which is latent within him.”

“Most men believe that fame, great wealth or political power would secure them against the storms of life. So they seek to acquire these as the anchors of their life, only to find that in their search for these they gradually lose the knowledge of their true being.”

“When you drop your desire in consciousness as a seed, confident that it shall appear in its full-blown potential, you have done all that is expected of you. To be worried or concerned about the manner of their unfoldment is to hold these fertile seeds in a mental grasp and, therefore, to prevent them from really maturing to a full harvest.”

If these ideas resonate with you, and if you are open to new interpretation on some age-old ideas, then this book may be to your liking. On the other hand, if you are a firm believer that everything in the Bible can only be seen in the literal sense, or if you see God in the traditional Christian sense, then it is likely that you will find “Your Faith is your Fortune” to be frustrating or perhaps even blasphemous.
** Let me first say that this book was a lot less expensive when I bought it (now it is showing as $30+) and having read it I can say that I would not spend that much for it. If you would prefer to read a different book from this author, a book that is one of my favorites in this genre, ‘The Power of Awareness’ might be a good alternative. **

This little book is profound and has awakened my consciousness to new levels..It goes with me everywhere and each time I read it ..it is just what I need to understand.the I AM THAT I AM presence in all ..It is great for those who came from a biblical background to help understand the literal stories of the bible and bible verses as symbols of spiritual awareness that is hidden from the religious.and the world....We are meant to know who we truly are and Neville passed it forward just as all Christ Conscious beings before him. I could not read it quickly as other books because it was so thought changing and provoking that I was having paradigm shifts in my thinking as I was reading that needed to be absorbed. So many OMG's that I never saw before....so simple and right in front of our eyes. Yet we are blinded until ready to awaken and be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Naysayer's will call it blasphemous but for those who know the Kingdom of Heaven is within us will recognize the " I AM that, I AM"

I study Neville's material daily and can honestly verify that he is a very outstanding teacher, mystic and Bible scholar. In this volume that is Neville's first and perhaps most mystical book, he explains the meaning of different biblical events.
The book consists of rather short chapters. Each chapter is devoted to a certain biblical theme which Neville takes into discussion. Then he will proceed to explain you the spiritual and psychological truths that the theme includes.
This book is about spiritual awakening and understanding the power of your consciousness... not so much about self-help as self-help is generally understood as get-rich quickly scheme.
If you are looking for get-rich-quick books -- this title is not for you. However, if you seek to understand the deeper meaning of the Bible - this is a book to buy.
If you think you know your Bible, I challenge you to buy this book for your perception is going to change as a result of reading this book.
Very informative.

In this little book Neville expounds the same valuable truths as usual - imagine your wish fulfilled and you will obtain your desires. I.e. while in a meditative state visualize your desires and feel the feelings you would feel were your desires actually fulfilled.

He sees the Bible as "a great psychological drama with all of its characters and actions as the personified qualities and attributes of his own consciousness" and amongst other things interprets Jesus' twelve disciples as representing "the twelve qualities of mind which can be controlled and disciplined by man."

If you are not particularly religiously inclined, the frequent references to the Bible may be somewhat offputting. But there is no denying the inherent truth of Neville's message.

I have read all Neville Goddard's books, and this one is a part of my permanent collection. In this book, he clearly and effectively explains the meaning of various scriptures and teaches readers how to improve their lives through the right use of thought. He explains the power of words and mental images, which he claims is the most powerful force on earth. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to anyone interested in changing their life by changing their thoughts. For those of you who are truly seeking spiritual growth, may I recommend this book to you? When the student is ready the teacher will surely appear, and that's how I came across this book seven years ago. I have read this book 8 times, not because I did not get it the first time, but because my spirit prompted me to do so. I wanted to read it until the information became 2nd nature, until I could teach it without effort, until it was swallowed by the subconscious. Initially the content "shocked" my Christian soul, and a few times I thought about just quitting, but I could not, and I'm glad that I persevered, because I found the precious jewels that were hidden therein. St. Matthew 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. In conclusion, I want to say that if you are of the Christian faith, read the book prayerfully and perhaps YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU ARE A MATURE CHRISTIAN before reading.
I highly recommend the book, there will be some 'Shock' but the experience is 'awesome'. This book will skillfully teach you how to visualize with feeling the desires of your heart until they come to past.

I discovered Neville Goddard last year just before the birth of my second child. Due to complications with the birth, i needed approx six weeks bed rest, during which time I read just about all of his books. This period of my life was one of those in which huge changes occurred mentally. He really opened my eyes, especially with regards the imagination and exactly how it can be used, plus he also showed me the works and messages of Jesus Christ in a way I have never seen them before.

Totally enthused by his books, I was then recommended one by a new author and, knowing that life brings to you that which you desire, I bought the book (Statue in the Square, Joanne St.Clair). Anyway, just after Xmas this year I won a six figure sum on the lottery. I know for a fact that it was the culmination of what i had learned, especially with regards the imagination and the inner power as described by Neville. Statue in the Square told me a story which resonated with me and probably just about any other professional caught up in the rat race of life, and together these books completely balanced my mind and my spirit.

Recommended reading for everyone!

This book is so meaningful and inspirational to me that I keep it near my bedside always. Neville writes with startling clarity and conviction. There is so much consciousness raising material here it can't be described. I particularly love his teachings on: What Bibles are (12), Assuming the consciousness (136), Only slaves have masters (30), You must dwell ... (42), Nature abhors vacuums (95), and Moving from one state of consciousness to another (44).

I am studying this form of thinking. I have read & studied the works of Emmit Fox, Ramond C.Baker, Eric Butterworth & many others..over the past 5 years and this book was a new key in the mystery I am trying to unravel! It probably wouldn't have been as profound had I not spent the other time learning what it took to understand the simplicity of this writing. Life always comes down to the individual, understanding ourselves. Thank-you /w

I love his book, "Resurrection" which contains many of the same principles as in this one. However, I disagree that the characters in the Bible were not flesh and blood people but only symbolic representatives of the ideas he pens. Such a
belief to me goes against his assertion that we as flesh and blood humans co-exist with our desires' manifestations and smacks of an ancient belief--the Catholic Church at the time labeled it a heresy--that Jesus was an hallucination as man
in the flesh to give us something to see as he preached and did His works here. It's disingenuous and contradictory for Neville not to acknowledge the physical realities of those people because the purpose of his writings is to show us actual human beings how to attain nobler states of consciousness, which once manifested physically with and for us don't dissolve with us back into the ethereal from where they came.
