Highly enjoyed my read through Lynn's book. She is intimately familiar with the Supernatural fandom and has collected a series of beautiful, honest, and funny essays about what others have gained through it. If you're a fan of the show, I definitely recommend checking out this book.

It's clear that every person that contributed to this book put their heart and soul into it, especially Jared Padalecki. His was the first chapter I read (and I am now going back to read the other amazing essays) and I found myself re-reading it a few times. It's powerful, honest, and very, very important. Jared shares himself as openly as he can with the fandom, taking the reader on a journey from his childhood years and personal fandom discoveries as a kid and teenager, working in the industry, being diagnosed with depression and telling, in incredible detail, his breakdown that occurred in 2015 that ultimately led to Jared reaching out for the help he needed. You will laugh, and you will cry. Even longtime fans of Jared, such as myself, will learn something new; I certainly did. His eloquent writing and raw openness will leave you breathless at times, but you will walk away feeling inspired and with even more love in your heart for this man than you can imagine. Please check this book out, not only for Jared's amazing story, but for all of the contributor's essays as well. They truly put their everything into this project. Thank you, Lynn, for making this possible.

Reading stories from the Supernatural cast and from fellow fans like me made me feel incredibly proud to be a part of this fandom. My whole life I've felt nervous to tell people how much TV shows, books, movies and fandoms mean to me, because I'm afraid they won't get it. I'm afraid they'll think it's childish or silly or stupid. That fear is based on past experiences, with peers my age and older adults, who looked down on the content I enjoy. This book showed me that I have nothing to be ashamed of. My love for this TV show about two brothers fighting evil is just as valid as someone else's love for classic literature.
The stories in FDEWB were relatable to a point where I cried because I felt so lucky to have found a fandom that gets it, and a cast that cares so much about the people who support them. Jared Padalecki's essay about his struggle with mental illness, and how the fandom has helped him through it, made me look at myself differently, and touched me in a way that I can't fully explain.
I can't describe how happy I am that this book exists. The Supernatural family truly is incredible and I'm so glad that I found them, and that they have found me in return.

This beautiful book put into words what this show and world mean to so many people. I loved learning more about the cast and fans like me that find a certain belonging in the world of Supernatural. This is a must read for anyone that loves the show, if only for the cast essays but I hope you'll read the ones by fans too.

The fact that this book has contributors from the cast and fans underlines the truth of the matter: we all consider each other family. Lynn's book Fangasm was my introduction to this fandom, so I knew that this new book would be spot-on. It is. For both those unfamiliar with the Supernatural fandom, and those of us that love Show, fandom, the cast and Lynn, this book is a tear-jerking feels-filled read.
