I love this series! Jack, Aric, Jack Aric! Who is it going to be for Evie. Here comes the Red Witch and hoping Evie can come back from her. This story is so much fun and I can not get enough of it. Where is The Fool Matthew and what game is he playing at. Maybe just maybe he is helping them in their goal to end the games for good.....

Jack, Aric, Jack, Aric... *tears... I might need a 50 shades version of this where they find happiness as a group. But enough from me, just absolutely love KC books they never dissappoint. This one is no different, action, love, drama, tears, more action, tears. But seriously, can we have some fan fiction of all 3 cooking dinner together in the castle?

Once again, Ms. Cole nailed it. My only regret is that the book ended. I can't wait until the next book. It is going to seem like forever since I read this one the very first day it was out. My heart was breaking at the end. I am team Jack all the way. Wouldn't mind having myself a sexy cajun. ? This is a great read.

My heart hurts, my eyes hurt. Ouch beware readers this book has teeth and they will drag u in. So much, but of course, too short for this good of a read. Everyone makes an appearance in this book. Epic surprises. And a tug-of-war with sanity

If u like: apocalyptic, taro cards, mind bending, or live or die situations this book is for u

Sevenwaters rating: 10/10

Incredible. Heart wrenching, but beautiful and very character driven. I was disappointed by some reviewers' complaints citing this book doesn't resolve anything in the plot or love triangle. Please read till the end as this book does tie everything up except for Richter and the end of the game of course! Yes, the love triangle continues, but there is a sense of closure. Plus the author's note at the end reassures all we've been through with these characters was planned this way and now primed for conclusion. This installment is a great addition to the series! Even better than the last one. I have read every Kresley Cole book & audiobook (numerous times...) and I recommend this one wholeheartedly. For new fans check out Poison Princess (book 1 in series)!

Book 6! and the series is still going strong! Kresley Cole has a true gift of weaving everything together. This book was a roller coaster ride - fast paced - full of action, adventures, twists and tears (lots of it).

While I can’t wait to see how this series wraps up, i’m also dreading the end of this series.

The back and forth gets a bit tedious she redundant but all in all its a good book and the end keeps me wanting more. I love both main the main men in Evies life but her indecision is driving me crazy. I love all the secondary character's just as much and feel for them just as deeply. I'd recommend this series to anyone, it comical, emotional, action packed and the story line has a good flow.

I think I loved the “real talk” scene between Aric & Jack the most. My second best scene was Finn’s sunrise.

This book was well worth the wait. It answers the question of whether one can be in love with more than one person at a time. It also keeps it real, not all young mothers become maternal upon conception. Sometimes you freak out and need time to adjust.

I love and hate that we are coming to the conclusion of this series.

As I do with all of Kresley books, I strongly recommend a read.

I love everything KC writes and this book was amazing. However, I will say that I am getting very tired of Evie's indecision about Jack and Aric and how she loves them both and wants to be with them both and can't choose. It paints her as very selfish. Still waiting for Evie to become a badass both mentally and physically and commit to one guy so we can stop with this drawn out love triangle.

I am totally in love with the chronicles, and THIS BOOK...
I could NOT WAIT to read this!!
Perfect amount of suspense, romance, action, new players, old players....
EVIE AND JACK..
EVIE AND DEATH....
ahhhhhhhhh....
Kresley Cole is a favorite of mine, but that does not make me partial to a book....
This book just proves that she is supernaturally talented!!!
IN LOVE WITH ARCANA CHRONICLES!!!

another amazing addition to this series! addicting and totally spellbinding. of the hundreds of books I've read I've never cried so hard as I did at THAT one scene. Jesus Christ Cole, did you have to go there!?!?!?!? I am so conflicted as always over Aric/Jack......but alas, I will always be #TeamDeath

Thank You, Kresley Cole for another book that left me in tears. I bought this on Kindle but I'm also going to get in paperback so i can keep it in along with the rest of your books.
I recommend this book series to anyone and everyone to read. Once you start reading you won't be able to put them down. Thank You

Spoilers ahead

This book moves so slow and focuses the whole time on Evie's love triangle. Yes, you learn who the Hanged Man is (which is random) but there's no forward momentum. They spend a good chunk of time doing a absolutely nothing but reliving the past. The Evie of previous books I loved... this Evie? Ugh. It was just painful. This was obviously rushed and put together at random. I love Kresley Cole and read many of her series, so this was just disappointing.

As always Cole does it again. I absolutely loved this book. I will be buying the hard copy as well to add to my collection. I just couldn't wait foe my little town to get it at the local store so I bought it as an ebook. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I'm a total team Eric even if I love the Cajun too but I'm going with Death.

Yet again, Kresley Cole just topped her last installment of 'The Arcana Chronicles'! So much love, hurt, pain, and sacrifice, The Dark Calling was astronomical. I couldn't put this one down, and regretfully read it all in one evening. Kresley, pleast hurry with your next installment of The Arcana Chronicles. The suspense is driving me crazy, i need to know how this game ends!

I stayed up all night, even chatting with an the store rep to find out if this book would be available at 12 am EST and I could stay up, or 3 am, and then I would have to wait. I was super stoked it downloaded about 12:15 and I stayed up till 4:30 to finish reading it. From a fan of Kresley, both with the IAD and Arcana series, I should have stopped at two hours and got more sleep. It pains me to write this, but it wasn't her best in the series.

The Good:

Trying my best to be spoiler free, the inactivated card reveal was intense. It definitely was a shock to the senses but it had me pushing past that 2 hour mark when I wanted to sleep.

Kentarch's introduction was well placed, I loved his addition and how he fit in the storyline, my heart wept as he explained he would never stop searching for his wife, and by the end of the story I fell in love with him.

Loved the interplay between Aric and Jack. "Why can't we be friends, why can't we be friends..." kept singing in my head, and they both truly love Evie and you can tell the respect between them grows throughout the book. Can't they both be her Always and Forever?

The Bad:

#teamdeath vs #teamjack = totally over it after this book. I loved the banter on Kresley Cole's fb pages about who Evie would choose, and though I do have a preference, I thought this book would finally prove one way or the other. I understand the need for progression, and something has to snap to get Evie to lean to one side or the other, but she is such a teeter totter in this book that it was hard to get over that. Even the "snap" that had her leaning pained me, because it proved that Evie hadn't grown up, so to speak, and couldn't see anything but her point of view. What I really hope Kresley does is just finds a way for them to co-exist with Evie, kinda like Sol did prior to the flash, but I don't know if her fans are ready for that.

The buildup towards the convergence and eventual meeting with Richter and Zara was great, and then their meeting fizzled. I guess I was disappointed because I thought the issue with Richter and his camp would progress more, or would be taken care of, but it just didn't hit any type of peak like I expected. Even the Hanged Man's final scene was meh.

I would recommend buying it if you are a fan of the series, but I know Ms. Cole is a much better writer, and am looking forward to her other books until this one is complete.

This series is excruciatingly addictive in its ability to have the reader turning pages with rabid anticipation. I will read whatever comes next as soon as I can lay my eyes upon it, knowing that when the journey has reached its end, I will be hard-pressed to find its equal. Cole, you are a beautiful fiend and nobody cranks out literary crack like you!

What a ride, this book was nothing short of AMAZING! Evie, Aric, Jack, and the rest of the Arcana’s stories continue in this novel and it’s a page turner! The end of the novel gears up for the next installment and I can’t wait to read it! 5 STARS #teamaric

I enjoyed this installment of the chronicles above some of the others. There is more forward movement in the story line, and I enjoyed watching Evie come into her own, so to speak. I won't add spoilers but I will finish saying that I am on edge with anticipation for the last book. I can't wait- Hail Tar Ro!

So just like the other books, this one was intense at moments, gut wrenching at others and again, just shattering everything you thought you knew into smithereens. I must of omg'd about 20 times throughout the book. I'm exhausted. I would absolutely recommend reading this book.

This book slayed me. Some jerk spoiled the end for me when I was less than 20% from it and I seriously went into Evie rage mode. But even with the spoiling -- it was literally the very end -- This book was so amazing. I'm probably goan to read it again next month. I'm a Jack girl forever. ?

As much as I loved the initial installments, I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the last two books. I keep waiting for Evie to just choose. Or for Kresley Cole to choose for us. However, the world building and overarching plot still drives me to pick up the next one :) Hail Tar Ro

So much pain, love, hate and heartbreak!! This book is such an absolute emotional rollercoaster!!! I want more!!! Just when I am without a doubt, all in team Aric, Jack happens. Perfect adoring Jack. Flawless noble Jack. Team Jack!!! Wait, Aric is back. Poor, poor lonely Aric. Beautiful, selfless, literally a knight in shining armor Aric! Team Aric! Or Jack? So glad I'm not Evie, aside from being hunted by the most vicious, cold-blooded, sadistic beings on Earth she has to decide between the two most perfect men on Earth. Kresley Cole once again writes a brilliant book that I will re-read over and over again.

I have been anxiously awaiting this book. Already looking forward to the next one. You never know which direction the author will take & I truly didn't know who I wanted Evie to end up with. The author truly pulls you in and you feel what the characters are going thru. Loved every second!

I have been anticipating this book for a LONG time. My friends and I have speculated and theorized over the Hanged Man and the Minors. Ane we were so spectacularly wrong. Which I think I like better than being right. There is so much I didn't see coming and my heart broke and fixed and broke again with every page. I'm so excited to see what awaits Evie, Aric, Jack and Tee in the next one!

This series is amazing! Original and intelligent, bringing personal touches to each character. The beauty is in the details and the realistic human feelings that every reader has felt at some point in their lives, and can relate to. The love triangle does tear my heart up.

Ahhhh! Could not put it down. This series keeps getting better. This book had a lot of character and plot development vs. the action of the others in this series and I appreciated that. Cole twists you up with emotions for all the characters and omg. This book made me tear up, laugh out loud, and bellow in rage. Can’t wait for the next one!

I’ve always loved this series and Kresley is by far my favourite author ever. But I hate the self pitty in this book, the way Evie acts and can’t decide, it’s kinda getting old. And it makes her character seem weak which I hate. Even tho I’m team Jack all the way I would much prefer if she chose one or the other and they get on with the story, to me it seemed like the whole book is at a stand still and going no where. Although I really can’t wait for the next book to find out what finally happens and WHO jack really is. I absolutely recommend this series. Much love.

Once again, KC has written another brilliant book. I was never in to YA books until this one. The story is awesome. I, too, am in love with both heroes in the story and am confllicted such as Evie is. Bravo! Marvelous read. Eagerly awaits the next!

And I'm already salivating for the next book. Once again I was drawn into the world of the tarot. So many paths lie before the players, truths and lies mingle and become one. Words of old bring the story into focus.
