This book is about two friends, Alex and Rosie. They meet as little kids corresponding through notes, and it follows them until middle age through their correspondence. So the book is unique in that it is told entirely through the letters, e-mails, cards, text messages, ect. Rosie and the few people in her life. Alex and Rosie can't seems to be on the same page in life at the same time. Alex moves to the United States, the rest of the book is based in Ireland, the two remain close friends through relationships, personal crises, life-changing events, leaving the reader to wonder if they will ever realize they are perfect for each other?! The book is a little slow at times, I think that attributes to the limited narration, and the one-dimensional characters, but it is a light-hearted, hopeful book about two friends and their unique and long-lasting friendship.

I really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone. It kept me interested the whole way through and only grated on my nerves when the characters kept missing each other, and the ending. I mean come on, really? She's just lucky the rest of the book was excellent.

I loved the prose of the book and really appreciated how realistic it was, with actual possible life events and twists and bumps. Both the main characters were funny and lovable and you just can't help but root for them! I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it!

I just wish the ending continued for a few more pages!!

I absolutely loved this book. I like how Ms. Ahern used a different style of writing in order to develop her characters. The conversations between Rose and Ruby really brought a sense of humor and sarcasm and lightness to the story. I just loved Ruby. She is one of those down to Earth friends that everyone needs in order to keep things real. I did get a little frustrated with the constant hits and misses between Alex and Rose getting together. I also really wanted to punch "what's his name" in the face for having kept that letter and invitation from Rosie, what a jerk. I admired Rosie as a parent in so many ways. She instilled in Katie the many ideals and hopes that she had wanted for herself. Rosie encouraged Katie to follow her dreams even though it took Rosie so long to follow her own advice. If Rosie had been less of a parent, Katie may not have turned out so well. And by the way, loved and hoped Katie and Toby would get together and so glad it didn't take them 3 decades to figure it all out. I would highly recommend this book. Now I will have to go read other books by Ms. Ahern.

✔ Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern 5 stars★ and favorite♥

I had a Book-Hangover from this book! It's more than just a unrequited love story. I was really captured by these people's life stories. All of them. And I was a little skeptic because it's written in epistolary format from school notes to emails, letters, texts, and even chat rooms from not just the hero and heroine at ages 7 to their 50s, but a lot of various characters too.. And now I'm even more excited to see the movie this month (title Love, Rosie).

Sweet story but somewhat depressing. The abrupt ending left a lot to be desired; I wanted to see a happy ending unfold and wish the happy occasions hadn't been rushed over so quickly. Real dialogue, occasionally, would have been great too!

i absolutely loved this book. although it was annoying at times how alex and rosie had many missed chances, thats life. i loved the witty banter between the two, even rosie's personality in
general with everyone. couldnt put this book down. i'll miss their emails and letters (yes i know its make-believe, dont crush my dreams).

This love story was refreshing; it took them 20+ years to get on the same page when it came to proclaiming their feelings. The unexpected turn of events that happened in Rosie's life was realistic. It was disappointing that they start their romantic chapter of their life at 50.

This story was good. The first half was very cute and intriguing. After a while, I started to get bored. I felt like I spent the entire book waiting for something to happen... and it never did. The story went on and on and on and I felt like it didn't have any sort of rise or fall, climax or resolution.

But on a good note, the characters in the story were all interesting and I enjoyed their growth over the story.

This was a cute book to read at the beach or during a rainy afternoon. It was a very light and fun book but not one to study and mull over.

I skipped almost a third of this boring book. Nice story. Ridiculous ending. The fact that the entire book is letters, emails, an instant messages made the roughly 450 page feel like an eternity to read. I should have just skipped to the movie.

I loved this book. Love,Rosie had me crying, laughing, and possibly angry. There was never a dull moment. I loved the book from the Bottom of my heart(more like the middle) I haven't read another book like it. I would highly recommended this book.

Whilst at times the plot is maddeningly frustrating, this is another lovely Cecilia Ahern escape. A great rainy weekend read. The format keeps things interesting - it's nice to read something a little different to the usual novel.
