I read some summaries or reviews about how this book taught kids about the promise of God or something like that with the flight path of this little bird. Well, I sure didn't see it. There is some very brief sentence about pondering about Gods promise, but that's all. The book has nice pictures, a few words per page and then this expensive book is over before you realize it. Maybe for 2 year olds that are impressed by every thing on one picture or two. If your child is 4 or older....this is a waste of money.

Our family loved this little board book! The colors were so bright and the drawings helped depict expressions whether it was happiness, fear, or sadness very good!

The story itself was perfect in displaying how God love's is always with us whether were going through hard times or good! The way Firebird understands this truth in the story was presented in a way where young children can understand too!

I think this is a great little board book for little hands to look at and have parents read! There is such a great message there and with very colorful pictures to help keep the attention of young ones! This will be a well read book in our family!

I give Firebird a 5 out of 5 stars!

*(I received this board book from B&H Publishing in exchange for an honest review! All thoughts expressed are my own and I was not required to write a positive review!)*

This is a wonderful children's book about a little bird that learns that God doesn't take the sun away when it is stormy out. It seems in fact that Eva Marie quoted the entire story, word for word, in `Unconditional: A Novel'.

It is a nice size and shape for reading to one or more children, perfect for having the children all gather in a semi-circle for story time or maybe a single child nestled in one's lap. The storyline is simple, one that a young child can take in and understand. The illustrations are bright, large, and colorful. Great for seeing from a short distance away.

If you are looking for a way to share God's unchanging love with young children in your life, this is a delightful book that they can page through and go over the story themselves, even when there isn't anyone to read it, via the wonderful pictures on each page.

Firebird is such a cute story about a little bird who lives for the sunshine. I LOVE the storyline and the illustrations are top notch. I can't wait to share this with any little ones that come into our home.

It takes a special talent to be able to share God's love and mercy in such a way that it can touch a child's heart, and Firebird does just that.

My daughters favorite book! We started reading this to her at 4 months old and then at 12 months this was the first book she picked up and started turning and looking at the pages in! The pictures are vibrant, the story is VERY WELL written and it has meaning and purpose unlike many board books on the market... it is a story you don't mind hearing again and again. The quality of the board book itself is very strong and durable!

I now include this book in every baby shower gift I give!!!

P.S. I also love the movie Unconditional

A wonderful, uplifting story for children and adults.
The illustrations are beautiful and really make you want to leave this book lying around to read whenever you need a pick me up.
Firebird is a young oriole and questions why God allows the rain to take the sun away. His mother helps him find that that isn't the
case. He rejoices in finding out the sun is always there.
A thoughtful gift for any celebration in your life.

This is the delightful and colorful story of Firebird who always complained about the rain hiding the sun until his mother challenged him to `ride the clouds.' An allegory regarding God.

Your children will love the many caricatures of Firebird's many poses! They will have you and your children giggling in delight!

When I read this book, I had mixed feelings first a babby bird such as an bird like firefly cannot fly above a storm, only eagles can. To me i guess for a kids book it was very short and TO fake about it. We have to teach our kids to weather out the storms. I guess I gave to 2 stars because I think it is way to fake and the message was not realistic for a child
