I purchased this book in kindle format on Friday night and by Saturday night/ Sunday morning(2:30 am) I finished it! I could not put it down. Every book should have and ending like this. I have never read a book by this author and happened to come across a review online...WOW! I will now be purchasing and reading every book by this author.

Great as usual. It kept me guessing, for awhile I THOUGHT I figured it out but then a new twist would come along, This happened several times, I had a hard time putting it down and I am sorry it ended I love his books. And have read them all this one is one of the best,

I have read every single book ever written by this author. He has never once disappointed me. He manages to both surprise me at the end AND make it totally believable. I look forward to every novel knowing that it too will absorb me from the first word to the last period.

I thoroughly Enjoyed this book. It held my attention all the way through the book. It had several plot twists and turns and great character development. I liked his writing style and his descriptions were colorful and sophisticated. Most times I can predict the outcome of a mystery story. But not this one. It was a spellbinder right to the end. And I felt a connection to the characters and that shows a great writing ability. I highly recommend this book .

As expected, Harlan has written another page turner. Like all of his other books, I hated for this one to come to an end. I didn't particularly like the way it ended, but it was realistic. Don't miss this one! Maxmontgomery

Excellent!!! I couldn't imagine the ending!!! The plot is very good, at a time you think that some of these you have already red about but then it is absolutely different. The characters very well defined. Just love it!!

A master of misdirection. No doubt. The story relied a good deal on military activity and thought process in which I got lost frequently but for a war buff I'm sure this would be a plus. Great ending.

I've enjoyed several of Harlan Coben's novels for their plot twists. However, Fool Me Once falls short. The main character is developed as a strong, smart, ex-military woman. But she would have to be a fool to have fallen for the twist that is the climax of this novel.

A truly enjoyable entertaining complex mystery. So clearly written; so complex that you have to keep your wits about just to be sure you don't miss one of the hints along the way. We have given this book as presents to others, my wife and I enjoyed it so much

I said full of surprises in my review because when I opened the cover, the text started on Chapter 3! Misprinted edition omitted first two chapters and I waited too long and now I cannot return it to exchange for a better copy.

The basis of the story grabbed my attention, and initially (about the first half of the book), I was really enjoying it. However, between half and 3/4 of the way through, I struggled to finish; it became too drawn out. Also, I didn't like the ending.

I have always enjoyed Harlan Coben's books until he introduced Mickey and with that a new series of mediocre reading. This book starts great, but Harlan must have been in a hurry because the ending is weird. Also, Harlan tends to recycle his characters from book to book: the angry coach, the pretty heroine, the bully. Surely, he must have more imagination than that?

Was surprised to see some low reviews. I thought the book was great. Kept me guessing till the end. Can't wait for the next book coming out in September. I've read all of Harlan's books and have enjoyed them all. One of my favorite authors.

Very disappointing. Unlike the other Harlan Coben books on CD I've listened to, the writing here is not up to his standard, not even close. For one thing, the dry humor is almost entirely missing. However, I mistakenly bought this abridged version, and it is possible the problem is due to that.

Another excellent book by the master of suspense! Harlan Coben is the best of the best when it comes to thrillers - keeps the suspense going to the end of every story. I love his books and have read all of them. Can't wait for the next one!#!

I could hardly believe this was a Harlan Coben novel. I often get debut novels to read and review, and Fool Me Once seemed like someone's debut. I'm truly sorry I paid for this. I'll be cautious before buying others from him.

This book grabbed me from the beginning. I enjoyed the story with its twists and turns. Unfortunately the end got blurry and didn't make a whole lot of sense. Don't want to say why because it would ruin the story-but fans of Harlan Coben will probably see the flaws as I did.
Overall good read anyway.

Too much emotional "drama" - the last two books - just too much - No more Harlan and I have read all his other books - was thinking he was going in that direction with Missing You, but thought just maybe a fluke! No more ...done! Nothing personal Harlan, I think you are wonderful!!!

Maya has lost her sister and husband and searches for the killer (s)? Family secrets are compounded but her instincts provide a fruitful path. Mr. Coben is at his best. Find a comfortable setting for this read and hold on!

Loved this book; written from the viewpoint of a female vet struggling with PTSD, the death of her sister, a small child and now, the recent murder of her husband. Well done, and from an unusual angle.

I liked the way Harlen Coben kept me guessing with twists and turns in the story. I was not totally surprised by the ending. I thought that I should have known who killed Maya's husband Joe. I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller.

THIS GUY WRITES WELL, VERY WELL. THIS BOOK HAS A FAMILIAR THREAD (IS SOMEONE MISSING? OR DEAD? OR PLAYING TRICKS ON PEOPLE?) BUT THAT'S THE ONLY SIMILARITY TO PREVIOUS BOOKS. I GOT CAUGHT UP IN THE STORY, DIDN'T SEE THE ENDING COMING. IF YOU LIKE HIS EARLIER BOOKS, THIS IS ANOTHER EXCELLENT READ. IF YOU'RE NEW TO COBEN, I THINK YOU WILL TRACK DOWN A NUMBER OF THOSE EARLIER EDITIONS.

I believe I have read every Harlan Coben book and never been disappointed in any of them. He is one of my favorite authors.
This one was a long time coming and a bit slow starting in the beginning but I still give it a 5 star.

Yep! After being gone for too many reasons - for too many years, "Fool Me Once" fooled me for real and put Cohen's name back on my list of preferred authors! Be prepared to be hypnotized into nonstop reading enjoyment.

Love to read Harlan Coben novels. You never get the same story but an altered version. Each one is fresh and new. This was so good. I highly recommend it to anyone that likes to read. I'm just sorry I finished it so fast

I never saw that coming! With a fluid and personable writing style, Harlen Coben is able to weave a tale with interesting, clearly drawn characters. Fool Me Once is truly an apt title! While the ending was a complete surprise it was not contrived. GREAT BOOK!

This is your very basic "who done it" mystery. Driven by plot, little character development. If you want an easy read that does not challenge your vocabulary or your intellect, go for it. Beach reading, Kept my interest but this is no literary piece of work.

The dialogue in this book was painful to slog through until almost the very end. I kept thinking it would get better but overall I was disappointed. I'm honestly surprised Julia Roberts loved it so much and made all that fuss.

Fascinating.. interwoven plots and themes... Twist and turns you aren't really expecting. He has become one of my favorite authors lately. It is a type of book that keeps you up till 3 a.m. reading.. intricate well written enjoy the read.

After reading The Hypnotist and the Stalker, this novel is an anticlimax. Predictable, poorly written, the female macho type, the PTSD issue. We've all been there!
My first Coben novel and my last.

This was a very interesting book. The only thing I did not care for was the constant rehash of her war experience a couple of times is ok but not every 25 pages. A real twist in the end. I would recommend it to a friend.
