This thriller about Catherine Ling was really interesting, and the mysterious Hu Chang. I have read all of Iris Johansen's books, and have enjoyed them all. I hope that Catherine and John Gallo get into a serious romance...

I used to read Johansen books faithfully, but a few months ago stopped and didn't remember why. Now I remember. This book wasn't a this-is-so-good-I-can-hardly-bear-to-put-it-down kind of book like Johansen books were at one time. This was a okay-I'll-read-it-to-the-end kind of book. My practice is to read a book, put it down, then look forward to reading it again. I will probably never read this one again. Some parts dragged, the action parts weren't very exciting, and the ending was crap. Will I read Johansen again, sure . . . but not for awhile (hopefully, she will regain what she's lost in the meantime).

Catherine Ling book 2, was just as exciting as book 1. I could hardly put the book down. There is so much exciting action and adventure, but I would like Catherine to get back with Cameron. I like his mind.

I have enjoyed books by Iris Johansen for many years. This book was no exception. It was fast-paced, hard to put down, and tied in other characters in some of her other books, as well. I suspect this is one of many books to come involving this character.
