The original fantasy books. The Narnia series are timeless with lots of great themes for children and adults alike: courage, human failing, defeat and triumph. I've been reading the series with the children before bedtime and they love it as much as I do.

Even though it doesn't completely have much to do with the "founding" of Narnia, it's still s great book! There are a few parts that get intense and keep you on edge. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it.
