Really enjoyed this fairly long read and liked how it was structured timeline wise. Interesting historical facts here and there. It flowed along and keep my attention but was relaxing at the same time. I will read more of her books now.

I liked the devotion Anahita showed for her son Moh, refusing to believe he was dead even though she never found him. I enjoyed the settings of India as well as the moors surrounding Astbury. I would recommend this book to any woman who reads.

Lucinda Riley is soo talented, she keeps you engrossed in every word and you never want the story to end. I love her books and will immediately start on another of her books. A very special writer. Thank you for the journey you take me on in your books.

I have just discovered Lucinda Riley. Her books are so enthralling and beautifully written. The research that she must do is amazing. I must admit that every book i read makes me want to visit the country that she has written about. There is such detail, i can see it and almost smell it. I am just loving her books and once i start reading i just cannot stop.

I really enjoyed The Midnight Rose -- couldn't put it down. Interesting characters, who stay with you after the book is finished, and quite a few twists and turns. If you're looking for historical fiction to escape into, I would recommend this book.

The book was entertaining however I thought it bordered on a romance novel. I did enjoy it however as it was the 1st book I read after having major surgery and I needed something light to get me back to reading.

Breathtaking and inspirational. So much good history, from two continents, cultures and time periods. A book I was unable to put down, with exciting twists forcing you to turn the page to reveal more, excellent language and writing. I recommend it to anyone interested in India and early 20th century England.

First three quarters of this book was interesting and colorful, with wonderful depictions of life as both upper and middle class in India and England in the day. The last quarter of the novel was a bit disappointing and somewhat predictable. Still worth the read.

This story is exceedingly well-written and takes the reader through vivid descriptions of life in India and England from the 1920s to the present as it follows the intertwining lives of the characters.

I'm gladly becoming a very devout Lucinda Riley fan. I hope the stories keep coming! Maybe one of these days there will be a happy reunion in one of her stories, instead of love lost.... However, they are spellbinding and definitely worth the read!
