After buying a just released "the honest truth about disonesty", I discovered that, in a few weeks it would be released in Brazil in Portuguese.
I highly recommend this book. I don't agree with some surveys/researches shows along the book, but, in general, the book teaches and show us some problems of human behavior.

Dan Ariely's book is a fascinating story about dishonesty, supported by many experiments, which might lead you to think it's more like a doctoral thesis... But it's not, it's a funny and a very light read! I had a great time with this book, it made me think a lot. I definitely recommend it

This book opened up many doors to help understand dishonesty can be a part of an extremely honest persons makeup. The scientific approach more than supports his findings. The added humor and statistics make it a fun read.

As a student enrolled in Carlow University's Masters of Science in Fraud and Forensics [...] course on Forensic Research and Analysis, we are to read Ariely's book: The (Honest) Truth about Dishonesty.
Ariely's approach to conveying his message about how everyone cheats but to what degree is very interesting and captures your attention. The ways he goes about getting his message clear will keep your attention and will actually shock you in his findings. After reading this book, I was able to apply his research in both my personal and professional life.
The only flaw I am able to discuss would be his redundant use of his matrix task. Most all of his discussed experiments were conducted using this matrix. After reading so many different types of experiments, it would be more interesting if they were conducted differently.
In short, this is a very interesting and easy read by an extremely intelligent writer.

In an easy language Dan Ariely makes psychological knowledge accessible for all, particularly in behaviour economics. But more important than this is his contribution to society development concerning crime prevention.

Ariely's research works were incredible.
Human beings are living with greed, anger and unknowings. So, all the honesty and dishonesty are happening at all times. I want Dr Ariely to study Buddhisim. His decision on his research works will tend to real and natural.

Another great book that helps us understand and apply behavioral finance in our daily lives. Especially useful in a business context and gives a real insight into the way people are programmed. the good and the bad

Dan Ariely is wonderfully clear and always interesting. (He's also a terrific speaker, if you get the chance to see him as I did at a conference earlier this year.) I recommend this highly, whether you want to learn some things that will make you see everyday events through fresh eyes, or just want a book to relax with on a plane.

Intriguing
While written by an academic, it does not suffer from a technical feel, nor from repetition.
Interestingly, while I have read most of the papers described in the book, I still enjoyed reading it.

I never cease to be amazed by human behavior, and so I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Since childhood I have worked to tell the truth and to do the right thing, even when it is hard. I was curious about the topic, and enjoyed learning how other people make these decisions.

I've enjoyed Dan's first two books, Predictably Irrational and The Upside of Irrationality, and this book also delivers keen and surprising research findings on human behaviors and what motivates us (and doesn't). This book is focused on dishonesty and cheating and contains valuable insights both about ourselves and others. It's a quick read brimming with insights that you can use in the workplace and at home with your family.

Fast review:
Pros: Dan Ariely has a great stories to go with the studies his teams performed. The information was interesting to learn.
Cons: After about 150 pages I understood the premise and the book seemed to drag a bit towards the end.
Overall: A fun read and good information

Brilliant read!
Ariely describes his research in an engaging voice - practical stuff that I'm applying in my own work as a professor.
I looked forward to reading each chapter like a reward for finishing my day's work.
I'll read his other books next.

Sometimes we don't stop to consider all the times when we stretch things just a little bit to make ourselves look better to others. This book really caused me to stop and think about that and resolve to do better.

Any social observer would love the common sense and practical findings he describes. A real tour of human behavior.
