This book is amazingly written, it has just the right amount of drama and twists and turns and.......the perfect betrayal. By the end I was like OMG! ??????

I could not put this book down! I read the book in 3 days because I could not stop reading. If you are looking for heroine love story in a supernatural world you need to read this book ! Enough said !

Haven’t decided how much I like this book yet. I enjoyed reading it, but it took me a little longer than normal. My attention kept drifting to other things. But I did enjoy it and will probably read the next one.

This was an unexpected book that I came across. I had a hard time putting it down. I was captivated by the haunting images and the way the authors words lingered even after I put the book down. From one author to another... thanks for a great read.

If you love reading books with strong heroine characters, don't waste time reading this. A young high school girl whose father was killed by vampires. Nobody believed her until the truth was revealed that she comes from a bloodline of vampire killers. She wants to deny her calling. Then it goes down from there, so much worldliness, weak character that's so annoying. None of the characters in the book make sense. I even prefer the antagonist to the so called good guys. Terrible, terrible book. I wonder where all those ratings come from.

Really enjoyed these books. This book definitely leaves you wanting to read more! I haven't seen any info about the next book yet or if there is one. I would assume there is since it totally leaves you wondering... ?

This book started out slow, but it had to build or it would have been information overload. Once it got going I couldn't put it down!!! The second book goes really fast! I love the love story and all the personality's! Great book!!

Loved all of the twist and turns. This book is definitely interesting. I don't like that a certain character turns bad, but it also made a very good plot twist. Would recommend of you like mystery, romance, and supernatural.

Overall not a bad read. On many occasions I found myself not wanting to stop reading. However, I did feel like the characters weren’t as developed as they could’ve been. Same goes for the plot. There weren’t too many surprising plot twists. I found myself correctly predicting the next scene. Still I found this very enjoyable to read and will continue with the series.

I enjoyed this book. The premise is interesting, but unfortunately there were a number of opportunities in this book for great character and plot development that were missed, shortened or absolutely lacking altogether. I will read the second book though! I'm interested to see what happens next!

This isn't my usual type of storyline but it did keep me interested to the end. The character Jemma was quite naive to her background and left me frustrated at all foolish things she did in being too trusting of others. I'm not into the vampire thing but I will read the 2nd book to see how she evolves in this role. And grows up.

Didn't really know what to expect when I picked this up, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. More interesting characters than a lot of books in this genre. Kept me interested throughout and I will be picking up the next in the series right away.

I really loved this book. It sucked me in and I read it in 3 days, which is pretty rare for me. It's a mystery as much as it is a romance and has some unexpected twists. I highly recommend this book for anyone who reads, as it has elements of all genres of writing that won't allow you to put this book down until you've finished.

Oh man, I don’t even know where to start. Since page 1 I disliked this book, but I’m not one to give up once I’ve started, and I kept hoping it would get better if I just kept going...I was wrong. I basically hated it until the last page of its infuriating ending. But hey, the plot was fine, albeit a bit cliche. But I was 38% through the book on my Kindle and still the author hadn’t explained AT ALL what the vampires and supernatural stuff was like in this world. I basically was super confused halfway through, this made up world is way too complicated...it adds in too many layers way too fast, and I felt even at the end that this fictional world wasn’t even partially explained. And on top of that, the stupid main character is such an idiot. She’s a cowardly, cringing, spineless, dumb girl, pretty much giving in to every stereotype about weak girls needing men to come to her rescue. Like I get it if a character is scared at first, and then builds her courage and then trains and becomes capable of defending herself and kicks ass and takes names...but this girl....holy wow. She’s so annoying. Literally her entire inner monologue is how can I run away from everything and what’s he best way to hide from my life? Also, there are quite a few very simple grammatical errors and typos that are distracting. I had to re-read sentences with the correct words to get myself to be able to continue slogging through this nightmare of stupid high school drama and weird turn of events that don’t even make sense. Parts of it were good (the one or two steamy scenes) but I was so disappointed in almost all these characters and I so hoped that it would turn into a string of events and information that made sense, but alas, no such luck.

I absolutely love the characters, the story, and the way the author beautifully narrorates everything that happens. I can't get enough of these characters! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone!:)

I really like these type of paranormal fiction stories but the heroine and repetitive sentences were completely annoying. She was a coward not very smart and was antisocial with just about everyone. I enjoyed the twist and the theme but that was it.

Not perfect but simply enjoyable

A lot of similarities to other famous books: Twilight, Mortal cup. But has its own characters and a very interesting twist at the end!

I will read the next book in the series.

I haven't been this enthralled with a book in years. I found myself giddy on multiple occasions about the storyline. This book has it all, romance, suspense and who doesn't love the supernatural! I love Trace and Jemma, I even love Dominic! I am almost done with book 2 and just found out there is a book 4. Such a page turner!

Fun book that kept me hooked. I just wanted to know what was going to happen and read the whole thing in a day. Love the attitude Jemma has. It cracked me up because it's so realistic/relatable. Great book. Definitely a reread.

It is hard to find a story that I struggle to pick back up but this one I struggled to put down. The characters pull you in to their lives and their reality starts to play in your mind like it's your reality. I can not wait to read the next book.

Thoroughly enjoyed the story and magical world surrounding the vast array of characters. I was definitely surprised by the twist towards the end of the book. Looking forward to reading the following books in the saga. I certainly hope Jemma toughens up and kiss some ass.

If I could give this book 12 stars, I would. After downloading the Kindle app, and getting this book free, I was skeptical. Boy was I wrong. This book had me feeling all kinds of emotions I never knew possible. It’s beautifully written and I’ll be reading all of Bianca’s works.

It was pretty good for a YA vampire book. I’m a sucker for a vampire story and enjoyed it. Not mind blowing as there are the typical attributes of a YA book - love triangle, betrayal, teen drama, etc. But, I still found it enjoyable and wanting to keep flipping the pages.

Amazing book! Cant wait to dig into Book 2! This book had so many things that made it an excellent, cant-put-down read.....romance, friendship, love, hate, fear, and of course supernatural beings. First time reading this author and she has become a favorite! You wont be disappointed!

Well written (grammatically), which is huge as many writers these days get away with being lazy. Characters are well developed and the story is character driven, not a lot of filler. Only down side is that there are so many unanswered questions or missed opportunities for the main character and while acceptance is big the main character doesn't grow too much. Hopefully in the later books this is remedied, but I think I'm going to wait until the series is complete before reading too much more.

I don't know what to make if this book, I'm nervous to even try to continue the series.
The beginning dragged and the character depth and development was choppy and lacking severely, and the love stories... Omg how freaking weird/silly.
The twists and curve balls were too much they didn't have any substance or relevance either. The story needs more backing and development for sure.
Over all a 2 star book. And because I hate starting something and giving up I'm going to try book two, but I make no guarantee that I can finish if it is anything like this one.

Great book, although the main character is infuriating with her whiny immature behavior at times, it gets much better by the end of the book. The storyline is good though, can't wait to read the next one!!

To start off, this book was fun and interesting. Now the frustrating aspects: 1). I don't typically read "teen" or young adult books. I have not been either in quite some time; so I tend not to gravitate to books which fall in that age genre. 2). I don't much care for books that require more than one book to reach an ending. Typically I have found that subsequent books are not as good as the first. So unfortunately, this is the end of my journey with this series.

This book is interesting, but wordy and a little pretentious. Not at all a dark romance, by today's standards. Maybe the author referred to the supernatural, when claiming it as dark. Not what most readers are used to, when referring to dark. There is romance, but in the way of young teens. Not even YA.
I will probably continue the series, as I like the vampire/supernatural stuff, but be aware, this is written more for young teens, rather than young adult.

There were definitely times I was screaming at Jemma telling her "How incredibly oblivious are you???" Then other times where I had to look around me to see is someone was reading what I had just read. It most definitely has it's ups and downs. I definitely intend to read the next book. Thank you!!

What I loved about this book, was how deep into folklore she must have researched. This is definitely beyond just your typical vampires/shapeshifters/witches etc.
However, the book tended to drag along slightly. I am definitely excited to read the second book!

I finished those book in a day and immediately set out looking for the sequel which, to my disappointment, does not yet exist. I've read my fair share of teen paranormal fiction and was completely amazed to find a book with a story line that was able to surprise me. It was interesting to read this and see that all the common species of paranormal fiction were in here but all smashed together in one new, melting pot world; it was weird, but it worked. The characters are completely captivating. I loved the character growth of the heroine; even when I wanted to yell at her for her choices I was still rooting for her. I'm hooked, and will definitely be back for more.

If you love unanswered questions this story is for you. While the author tried to create a unique perspective this book left me feeling disappointed and hopelessly confused. Not only had I lost interest in the middle of the story I finished it only to wish I hadn't. I never thought one story would make me feel so perplexed. I have so many questions about what I just read I wouldn't even know where to start. So my advice to you is that you don't start reading this unless you enjoy the state of utter disappointment when a story did not live up to your expectations.

I liked the story, my biggest criticism is the constant harping on how attractive they are, I felt like, yes, we get it, Trace is hot and it is distracting. It makes for a hard to take seriously relationship as it seems to be solely based on physical appearance. When I try to overlook this I really do like the story.

Much better written than most paranormal books I've enjoyed. I'll be indulging in the second one soon enough. I hope readers fall into my story (No Regrets by Neoma Nobles) as equally entertaining as I found this one.

Not a huge fan of these books. I would've stopped reading if I hadn't paid money for them. The characters are inconsistent, the romances are immature, and the main character is annoying and mostly helpless. I understand that the characters are teenagers, but the way they interact romantically is completely immature and so inconsistent that I quickly grew tired of the "stay-away-from-me, I-can't-stay-away-from-you" back and forth. The characters lacked much character development as the story progressed. Supporting and background characters were flat and lacked any depth, really just hovering at the fringes of the story until they were needed. Sometimes wanted to scream at how many times the author used "ticked" as a way to describe a character gesturing with their head.

The plot and back story was very interesting although not original in view of other Vampire/Slayer books. I usually enjoy reading stories where the central figure who started out seemingly average then grew into something more, someone you want to read about. However, from mid book onward this Heroine seemed to lack true depth. Some of her thoughts and actions were "out of character" which makes it hard to accept even knowing that she is supposed to be transforming. I liked the suspenseful plot and am interested to see where the Author goes with the story. Maybe the second book will have better character development.

I feel like this is a book my preteen self might have enjoyed. As it was, the word choice seemed overly dramatic, the dialogue came off uncomfortably awkward, the characters felt a little flat, and I just couldn't get into the insta-romance. I think I'm past the point where eye contact is grounds for eternal love. It had a few clever bits, but I miss the effortless wittiness I've found in other books in the paranormal genre.

I was getting bored and about to the end so I stuck it out, only to find that I wasn’t going to get the end of the story. I’m sure not buying the next book just to skip through half of it to figure out what happened with Trace. Good grief. What a rip off.

If it's one thing I hate is a weak lead female character. She never defends herself against anyone and keeps vital information from people who would help her avoid dangerous situations! And then gets mad because she was lied to? I found myself shaking my head and rolling my eyes way too much. Then how was it possible for the male lead to fall in love with her when he constantly avoided her?? "I've never met anyone like you" really? He avoided her but felt he knew her enough to fall in love at the last minute? Ugh. The only interesting part was the little twist at the end but enough for me to read the second book.

But there is too much teenage angst. I have a hard time reading stories where the girl can't figure out what topwear to prom while evil is looming over her. Just too hard. I liked the basic premise, but had to fast forward through some of the chapters.

I read everything and don’t mind young adult reads. But this was a little too much. The main character was incredibly annoying - clueless at points, helpless, ditzy. Perhaps she evolves but I won’t be reading the next book in the series.

Even though they are easy quick reads, these books are based on an awesome idea, and I love that! I just wish the books weren't such easy short reads that you're done within a week, and left waiting for the next book in the middle of action.
