Review:Evanovich missed by a mile with this one. Sad, because I have enjoyed so many of her Stephanie Plum novels. There is very little plot, other than a drab grandma being kidnapped and returned O'Henry style. This is a pretty lame offering coming from a once skilled, gifted writer. Hope she perks up. Read more
Review:I adore Stephanie Plum, the feisty, sassy, suma cum laud bond enforcement agent, (bounty hunter), from Trenton, NJ - the bane of every psycho criminal in the Garden State, and destroyer of at least 10 cars. I love Grandma Mazur, Stephanie's maternal grandmother, and a pistol-packin,' roller blading clotheshorse. The super sexy men in Steph's life, hot cop, live-in lover Joe Morelli, and "The Ranger," who is beyond description in a simple book review, are the best - as are all the other wacky ecc... Read more
Review:Not enough reviews help prospective readers know more about this book. Obviously, if you're planning on reading this one you're a long-time fan, but it never hurts to know what's going on.
PLOT: Stephanie is accosted by a woman claiming to be Ranger's wife when Ranger goes MIA. The next day she hears his daughter down in Miami has been kidnapped and Ranger is suspected. Someone murders the "wife" and Ranger appears to move in with Steph, asking for her help in catching the man who has sto... Read more
Review:I love the story.. I ordered the hard cover. But once again I did not get it. The same thing happened when I ordered it from Wal Mart. So don't feel bad. So I read it and loved it , but will give it away because I collect the Hardcover versions . Read more
Review:I loved that Stefan had a fairly large part in this book. He’s one of my favorite characters in the series. I didn’t like some of what happened to him, but at least some of it wasn’t permanent. I’m really almost hating Marsilia. I totally get why she did what she did, but I don’t like her.
Mercy was raped in the last book, and she’s still working through her issues with that. And with the fact that she has finally done what we all knew she would be doing since book 1: Become Adam’s mate. ... Read more
Review:I have long awaited this most recent book in the Mercy Thompson series and was not disappointed. In my opinion, Patricia Briggs is one of, if not THE best writer in this genre. Pooey to those who say they were disappointed. I enjoyed seeing Adam and Mercy finally delve deeper into their relationship now that they are married. As for the rest of the story...how could anyone NOT enjoy...the complexity of the characters and all the action was still there! Can't wait for the next installment, ... Read more
Review:This book was fast paced, but p Briggs didn't forget any details she has a wonderful way of linking all the stories in this series together. I could not our it down and wound up reading it in just two days! I highly recommend. Read more
Review:I held off buying any more of the Mercy books, as I really needed my sleep. Caught up on the sleep, I started #3 three days ago. I forced myself, two nights running, to turn my light off at a reasonable time, and thereby stretch the fun of the book out a little longer. Last night, I threw caution, and sleep, to the winds, and finished the book.
No vampires in this book, which is too bad, though I'm sure they'll reappear, and soon. This book dealt with the fae, and who was killing them, an... Read more
Review:This is the best of the Mercy books. I loved them all but Mercy finally admits that she is in love and starts to make a life with Adam. Also loved the new storylines for Samuel and Jesse. If you like urban fantasy you'll love this. Read more
Review:I finished this book last night and loved it. Her characters are always the selling point for me -- interesting, rather sharp-edged and complicated. The plot is good, but not necessarily the main attraction. It's the words and the story telling that draw me. I was also suitably terrified during one particular scene, which is impressive because I'm rarely frightened by scary scenes.
Briggs is honestly my favorite author next to JK Rowling, who is rather stiff competition. Read more
