Supernatural
Review:I love how this novel took a few different stories and wove them together, keeping a lot of the mysteries alive throughout the entire book. Great characters who will stick with me for awhile. Recommend!!! Read more
Review:The Visitor begins with a female entity haunting Amelia. This spirit both fascinates and terrifies her. I was completely hooked and slipped right back into her world. Amelia soon finds herself entwined in a puzzle involving the Kroll Cemetery. The graveyard is over half a century old and her scariest graveyard to date! The tale was spine-chilling with odd, quirky characters, entities, and other forces that delivered a deliciously dark tale.
If you have read the series then you know Amelia... Read more
Review:This was a well written book but the subject failed to engage me. This reflects personal preferences and should not be taken to impugn the book. I am just not into the supernatural, sci-fy or horror genres. Read more
Review:If you can appreciate the hilarity of Miss Havisham bemoaning a Porsche as she prefers a Bugatti, then this book is for you. Fforde's writing oftentimes interjects historical conjecture. This is not done in a tired fashion, but treatment of issues many can appreciate in a way that is serious but laughable at the same time. Although I do not know anything about the author's actual life it is clear that seemingly endless wars with little significant movement or improvement has worn on the author, ... Read more
Review:I liked everything! I loved the story line and especially the connections. All of the twists that you encounter are just crazy! I never would have thought to love the image of hell but it is explained so beautifully (at least how I picture it) that it is something I would want to see haha! I guessed at the end and I literally shot out of bed with joy when I was right! Again, killing me with the twists! Its mystery, love and war, perfect! I recommend to anyone who loves what was just said! Thank... Read more
Review:I was delighted with this book. It was vintage "Rice". She is back! I was pleased to see some of our old friends again especially the Mayfair family and of course our old friend Lestat. This was so much better than her last couple of books. I am anxious to see where "Quinn and Rowan" go from here. I finished the book yesterday and hated that it was over.
Great book. Read more
Review:I had purchased this book a couple times online and the quality of the books were very poor. I was extremely happy when I opened the package and the book look like it was brand new!!! Another piece to my collection completed. Read more
Review:Although there's some slow-going moments in 'Blood & Gold' (though nowhere near as bad as 'Blackwood Farm') on the whole the story works fairly well and follows an 'Alexandria Quartet' style Multiple-Persons POV to tell, retell, and newly explain a shared history and series of events that the protagonists of the story were all involved in concurrently and/or sequentially and are thus better/worse able to explain than others. Lack of resolution of long-estranged relationships is a problem in... Read more
Review:Having read 'The Claivoyant Countess', I was eager for more. The delight of finding 'Kaleidoscope' was a follow on was not disappointed by the story. I loved it. I wonder if there is any hope of a third?
A really good read.

Review:Very formulaic. No steam. No spark. No sizzle. Definitely no laughing out loud. I'm not a big fan of the romance genre, but this one was duller than most. Just very bland. Didn't even make an attempt to seem believable. A number of ideas rather baldly lifted from Stephanie Plum, but without the results. Read more
