Gingerbread Cookie Murder (Hannah Swensen series)
Gingerbread Cookie Murder (Hannah Swensen series)

Review:Okay, so getting the cookie recipes is fun while impractical if you have these on Kindle.
The Cookie Jar sounds like a fun place to visit, but the people of Lake Eden must role down the sidewalk to get there if they eat cookies everyday.
The mysteries are fairly good because I usually can't figure them out.
I like the cat stories.
But the triangle relationship of Mike, Norman and Hannah? Please. If I were Mike or Norman I'd tell this chick to get her head together or move along. W... Read more

The Skull Throne (The Demon Cycle, Book 4)
The Skull Throne (The Demon Cycle, Book 4)

Review:Very entertaining but the past few have at least resolved a few parts of the storyline before builing up an arc for the next in series. Some filler could have been removed and this would have fit nicely in the beginning of book 4. Read more

Review:Absolutely loved The Terror. Really liked Drood. Hyperion was pretty darned good too.

But this book? Holy sh*t!

I'll take a guess that the author never put it past an editor. The book is 80% overwritten -- and chock full of the author's political rants. I mean do we really need to know about how much you hate the Boulder, CO city council? For christ's sake. Does the truck driver really need to launch off on a long tirade about the 2012 election?

This book is absolute ... Read more

The Cabin at the End of the World: A Novel
The Cabin at the End of the World: A Novel

Review:Tremblay keeps getting better and better with each book. This is a well written, taut, little thriller that I have been replaying in my mind for days now.

Most of the negative reviews seem to be stuck on the lack of a definitive ending. Having read Tremblay's other work, I knew not to expect definitive answers, so this didn't bother me in the least. Mileage clearly varies, but if the plot appeals to you and you don't need a tidy epilogue I think you'd be well pleased with this book. Read more

Review:I love it! It's a serious 'can't put it down' book. I had no idea what I was getting into, this was my first McCammon novel, and I just happened to stumble on it. I haven't put this book series down. McCammon is an outstanding author, and I can't believe I've never heard of him before! He's instantly shot to the list of my favorite Must-Reads.
Seriously. Read it. Read more
