Along for the Ride
Along for the Ride

Review:Just like every other of Dessen's book, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

It's great to see YA books that are about a journey more than, or instead of a romance. Any romance in this story took a back seat to the journey and growing up that the main character had to do over the summer before college.

Auden decides to spend the summer with her father and his new wife and their new baby. While there, she discovers things she didn't really know or notice about her dad. She discovers some ... Read more

Once and for All
Once and for All

Review:A summer of weddings, a girl with a damaged heart, an annoying guy, and a bet - what could go wrong? Once and For All is a delightful new novel with Sarah Dessen's trademark mix of romance, summer, and starting over.

Louna works for her mother's wedding planning business. Every week she witnesses the pinnacle of true love. Or at least that's what it should be. But Louna herself knows how badly love can end, leaving her cynical and sure that romance doesn't come around all that often. Then... Read more

Lock and Key
Lock and Key

Review:So before Lock and Key I was completely unfamiliar with Sarah Dessen's work, oblivious to the existence of her novels. After reading this novel though, I don't think I'll ever pass up another of her novels, like ever. Lock and Key is a captivating, moving, heartfelt story of a girl trying to find her way after all the detrimental experiences she's had to endure and learn to move forward.

I have to say that I've never been a fan of novels that don't primarily focus on romance, love, and re... Read more

Review:AMAZING...AMAZING.... I love James Patterson but this book hung onto me from the first page to the very end.. The books gets really close to these characters and you either love them or hate them. It is busy busy as far as action so if you want to REALLY enjoy this book, find a quiet room...sit in a nice chair (grab a drink... just in case..lol) take a deep breath and be ready to go on a AWESOME journey with these characters! Cant wait for the next one! I hope it's even better! Thank you James P... Read more

The Dead and the Gone
The Dead and the Gone

Review:Good book for todays teen with everything. I would reccomend this for the spoiled child. This book gives today's youth a different perspective regarding life without the little conveniences and what it would take just to survive.

Hopefully, the books theme would enlighten the young person as to how lucky they are with family, clothing and a full stomach. Read more

Sisters Red (Fairy Tale Retelling)
Sisters Red (Fairy Tale Retelling)

Review:The sisters of SISTERS RED by Jackson Pearce (2010) are quite a pair. Scarlett, the oldest, lives to hunt. She defended her sister against the Fenris (werewolves) from a vicious attack. Rosie, the youngest, owes Scarlett her life. They hunt down and fight Fenris side by side with a bond that feels unbreakable--making it feel like they have one heart.

Rosie is drawn to Silas, a young man from their home town, and feels as though she is betraying her sister. The three go on a mission to fin... Read more

White Cat (The Curse Workers Book 1)
White Cat (The Curse Workers Book 1)

Review:I liked that the book starts with action and humor right away, with Cassel waking up on the roof in his underwear while the rest of the students at his boarding school are watching from the courtyard, egging him on to jump. Immediately, the reader gets this bond with Cassel: he may be conning the rest of the world, but he lets the reader know how and why he's doing it. For me, character likability is a major factor in how I form an opinion about a book. As those who read my review of Megan Wh... Read more

The Gender Game 3: The Gender Lie

Review:Great series. Very reminiscent of Hunger Games. Excellent dialogue and plot twists that you won't see coming. First book in series starts out a little slow but once it picks up steam....there is no holding back. You will not be disappointed in this purchase. Read more
