Self-Help
Review:This book is deceptively simple. The manner of writing allows you to be easily drawn into the central premise. Surprisingly, what unfolds in its pages is a concept that takes years to really grasp and understand. I highly recommend not just reading it but also visiting the website and participating in a workshop, training or coaching. As an organizational consultant, this book is a centerpoint for my practice and my clients. Read it. Learn to live it. You won't be disappointed. Read more

Review:The book was in excellent condition (like new) and had no signs of prior use. This was one of the quickest deliveries of a book purchased used through Amazon. I would highly recommend using the same seller. The Slight Edge is one of the best books on getting ahead in your personal and professional life. Read more
Review:Fun book with interesting ways of recognizing micro expressions. There are tiny muscles in your face that display your thoughts and emotions long before you articulate them. It is amazing what we can learn if we look away from our handheld devices and make eye contact. Non-verbal communication at its best! What is NOT said in a conversation is the most important aspect of understanding the exchange. Read more
Review:Not as good as getting a "real" Klosterman release, but this what-if deck of cards is thought-provoking, most of them featuring Klosterman's off-the-wall wit.
It has potential for party fun, assuming your crowd includes mostly pop-culture-obsessed, half-drunk philosophers.
One downside: About half of the questions previously appeared in "Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs." Readers of that book won't find as much new material. But if it has been a few years since you read SD&C, it's fu... Read more
Review:This book is a reality check about happiness. It is extremely well written and it has concrete exercises for the reader to apply in everyday life. I learned so much, and the biggest lesson is that happiness doesn't just knock on your door and stay forever....we have to work hard at bringing happiness into our lives and keeping happiness around like a close friend who isn't with you every day, but is loyal throughout your lifetime. Review:Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul is full of stories made just for girls and boys. All of the stories are inspirational in someway. This book is liked by a lot of people because there are sad stories, happy stories, and even funny stories. One of my favorite stories is"Where in the World is Carmen." This inspiring story is about a ten year old girl Ashley and her new bear Carmen. Ashley and her family were watching a movie about a man who hitchhiked across the USA. Ashley wanted to do this...
