Review:This is a great start to a new series branching from the Richard and Kahlan series. I've always been a fan of Nicci, and this first novel is in the same great style that has kept Terry Goodkind at the top of my list of authors. I see great potential for this series, and can't wait for the next book. ENJOY!!! Read more

Review:Major disappointment. This series started so excellent and promising then with the last three books it seemed that Goodkind was searching for something to write about. He would take an idea then have the major characters "research" this idea which would take up 70% of the book and then have it come to a head in the last few chapters. Getting through Warheart was very tough and I didn't enjoy the read at all. Not to spoil the plot for anyone but the concept of this book basically tells you th... Read more
Review:You can pick this book up and read it and not be lost in the series. But, I would strongly suggest you start at the first book, so you get the full effect of what the main character, Richard and his allies go through to save their world from being consumed from the Underworld. You can literally watch the characters grow and change with the passing of each page. No wading through pages of boring detail. Action-packed from the first page. He also does an excellent job of incorporating t... Read more
Review:I can tell you that I was looking forward to the latest enstallement in the Sword of Truth series in the hopes that it would be better than the last two, but SoF actually turned out to be worse. The series itself has been on a downward spiral. The characters that were introduced were of no importance in the end, and the storyline itself had "manufactured" written all over it. If you truly like the series, you should read it, but I strongly recommend that you wait for the paperback. Read more
Review:Love the series ("Sword of Truth"), and this book was not the best out of the 14 total, but it definitely gave me enough of what I needed to continually be a fan! The writing is still great, same fabulous characters, if anything the plot was not as binding-breaking as the books of the past. Still great read for any Terry Goodkind fan. Read more
Review:I ordered the books after having seen the television series, which was very enjoyable to watch. This is the first time in my life that I am saying that the production was better than the books. The books are overly long with unnecessary details of things like cultural differences among the characters and acts of stomach churning cruelties. The TV series, on the other hand, stream-lined much of the narrative, and had a good cast for the characters, so that while the good guys were brave, noble... Read more
Review:After a short introduction this book sucks you deep into the story. Very quickly you find yourself hanging on every word, waiting for the next realization. An amazingly fast-paced page turner with a very strong plot. Gladly anticipating the second book! Read more
Review:"Confessor" concludes the "Sword of Truth" saga, amazingly four years after the initial installment "Wizard's First Rule", by giving reiterated speeches by the same characters readers are accustomed to spouting the "life is worthy for living" philosophy. Regardless if it is Jennsen, Nicci, Ann, Richard, or Kahlan, the values are interjected at every possible opportunity, whether it is during a torture or a walk thro... Read more
