A Beautiful Friendship (Honor Harrington - Star Kingdom Book 1)

Review:this is one of the best prestories I have read. You can follow the storyline hinted at in previous books in the honor Harrington series. Great storyline great characters and the best explanation of the tree society yet. Read more

Worlds of Honor 6 (Honor Harrington- Anthologies)
Worlds of Honor 6 (Honor Harrington- Anthologies)

Review:The writing is, as always, excellent, but the story about Honor's parents... it seemed off, only because there was never a hint of anything like it in the main books. Otherwise, a nice little collection. Read more

The Honor of the Queen (Honor Harrington #2)
The Honor of the Queen (Honor Harrington #2)

Review:Excellent yarn in the line of the Hornblower saga but hundred of years in the future. Lots of space battles and a interesting heroine.
Howewer, long chapters are lost with long and boring "political" discussions. I like science fiction and Weber writes good one, but he deviates with "political science 1.o1" of future star kingdoms. Read more

At All Costs: Honor Harrington, Book 11
At All Costs: Honor Harrington, Book 11

Review:I have read the entire Honor Harrington series and was swept away by the first six or seven. However, they have tended to become longer and longer and to be filled with distracting subplots and scenes that contribute nothing to the development of the story. Furthermore, they seem to become less and less creative as the series goes on, and the main character becomes less and less sympathetic. This novel brings all these unfortunate tendencies to their greatest extreme.

Treecat Wars (Honor Harrington - Star Kingdom Book 3)
Treecat Wars (Honor Harrington - Star Kingdom Book 3)

Review:the book is good in the fact that it smoothly continues the treecat saga and young stephanie through the aftermath of the fires that ravaged some of the planet. It is an almost seamless transition, but would do fine as a stand-alone. Read more

- Honor Harrington universe Book 3) - Cauldron of Ghosts (Crown of Slaves

Review:David Weber has created a rich and exciting universe that takes place 2000 years in our future. His tales of Honor Harrington are compelling reading, but Honor doesn't exist in a vacuum. The stories involving other people serve the double purpose of advancing the over-all story line as well as fleshing out the characters and villains in the story. I find myself caring about what happens to some of the most unlikely supporting characters, and this book doesn't disappoint in that regard. Eric Flin... Read more

Shadow of Freedom (Honor Harrington)
Shadow of Freedom (Honor Harrington)

Review:David Weber is one of the finest authors that I have had the pleasure of reading. The series featuring Honor area wonderful read. The cast of characters are fascinating and complete people you would like to meet. The villains are dastardly. The story line is captivating. Read more

House of Steel (Honor Harrington Universe Book 1)
House of Steel (Honor Harrington Universe Book 1)

Review:The first half of the book was excellent and answers questions left unanswered from previous books. The later half of the book was essentially describing characters in all of the books along with space ships, weapons, and politicalentities, etc. While very good for those readers that are deeply involved with the series I found it tedious to read and boring. Fire Season (Honor Harrington - Star Kingdom Book 2)
Fire Season (Honor Harrington - Star Kingdom Book 2)

Review:really liked reading this book BUT so frustrated as I can't find a CD or MP3 copy of this book
I like to listen to David Weber books as I drive and my granddaughter really gets the book this way

a car story. Read more

Mission of Honor (Honor Harrington)
Mission of Honor (Honor Harrington)

Review:I loved the boldness of her arrival in Haven and the forthright way she dealt with the bureacrates. Her ability to read the opponents aids her in the negotiations. For once it was good to read one of Webers novels and not having thousands of people being killed. Others will enjoy this new aspect of Honor's chosen field. Read more
