Review:The selection is great. I love the introductions before each time period- it really helps understand the history and culture of the time. Each author has a bio, which is nice. It's nicely laid out, easy to read, and very compact. Since I love literature, this series is a great value and something I enjoy reading outside of class. Read more
Review:It's a love story, and it has everything: bandits, highwaymen, corrupt judges, criminal masterminds, heroes, villains, faithful friends, lovers, betrayals, robbery, murder, mines, runaway carriages, and beer for breakfast. It's written in classic 19th-century prose style, so don't be put off by the slow start. The tone is just right with no accusations but also no coddling.
Others have gone over the content of Self Editing for Fiction Writers in detail. All I have to say is d... Read more
Review:A lot of veiled homoerotic imagery, much of which today would be considered borderline pedophilia. Bogged down by repetitive illusions to the Greek ideals of beauty. Not on narrative par with Buddenbrooks or The Magic Mountain. Best suited for those who wish to say they've read all of Thomas Mann's work. Read more
Review:These books are great for the first time you read a Shakespeare play. Having modern English and the original side by side, you understand the story, and after that, can focus on Shakespeare's ability with language. Read more

Review:The book came really fast! I loved the delivery speed. The book itself has some great prompts and at a great price. The only thing I was worried about with the package it came in. It was torn so wide the book could of fell out. Other than that, it was good. Read more
