Review:Upton Sinclair at his best. The story of an accidental "secret agent" and the traps he falls into. The innocent victims this poor man takes with him is another example of the tyranny of the Fascist regimes Sinclair despises. It is an excellent example of this man's skills, never failing to keep the reader guessing as to where the grim tale will lead. If you like Sinclair with "The Jungle" and "King Coal", you will enjoy this one, too. Read more
Review:I had a friend once tell me that he had just read this play and had decided it was overrated. From that point on, I never considered anything he had to say very important. He had pretty much revealed his inner workings and I saw him for the ignoramus he is. I have read this play numerous times, seen play versions with Ralph Richardson and Jack Lemmon playing James Tyrone. It's a beautiful play, a funny play, a play that works one over, and leaves one feeling totally satisfied. If you never reall... Read more
Review:Jenna Fischer’s phenomenal book ‘The Actor’s Life’ is factual, funny and a fantastic guide to the world of acting. This is one of those books that is informative, personable yet so enjoyable that you can’t stop reading. I am not an actor but I personally loved this book and it is one that works on so many levels.
The book starts out with Ms Fischer interest in acting and her school productions and then through her education which includes the many different facets of her experiences. S... Read more
Review:The book came in slightly damaged condition (only the paper covering of this hardcover) however none of that is really an issue for me.
The content within was basically a cliff note version of the predillictions and demis of many of hollywood actor/actress from the golden era. The photos make up the majorityt of this book which makes reading it much more exciting and interesting when you can put a face to the story behind the rise and fall of the subject in question.
The ship time is ... Read more

Review:Sigh... Like most of Andrew Lloyd Webber's sheet music, selections from Phantom of the Opera gives you a watered-down transcription featuring many cuts. Even worse, the accompaniment is hardly the original accompaniment at all, rather it simply follows the vocal line. This might be acceptable for fans who simply want to play through the music on their parlor piano without a vocalist, but for a real musical theater fan, it's very disappointing. So far, I've only found one place which gives an... Read more
Review:For lovers of the musical "Wicked", this book is a must-have! The look of the book from the padded, distressed appearance of the cover, the foxing on the pages, the photos, the history of the show... it all adds up to a wonderful read and a great addition to other theatre books. Read more
Review:Nice intermediate arrangements. Many of the songs keep changing keys which is good for my brain and makes it extra fun (but sometimes tricky). Some are hard (one has 5 sharps!) but the arrangements are so well done it's worth the work! Read more
Review:This is a wonderful introspective look at an unusual life. Mr. Alda writes wonderfully honest reflection of his life. It made me look at my own life in a kinder light. His gentle cogent conversational style is a delight to read. Take the time sit down and enjoy read. Read more
Review:Oscar Wilde must have been quite the character in his day. This play about mistaken identity is not only laugh out loud funny but cutting at the same time. He skewers the upper class with his observations about their behaviour. No wonder it has been done in countless theaters over the years and been made into at least one film that I can think of.
