Dragons of Summer Flame
Dragons of Summer Flame

Review:I was extremely unhappy with this book. It was actually written OK, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why ALL of the heros of the lance were killed in this. It just does not make sense to me, then I kind of got into some of the Lance heros kids (as their characters were developing well) Like Palin, Tanin, Gilthanis, they all get killed off too between the "Second Generation and Dragons of Summer Flame" It seemed that for whatever reason, the whole entire bloodline of the heros of the la... Time of the Twins: Dragonlance Legends, Volume I

Review:I remember reading these as a kid. The story line is still awesome, but the narrator is lacking. He mispronounce some of the names and uses the same voice for all of the characters. I am so glad that I had a credit to use and didn't spend money for this. Read more

Test of the Twins (Dragonlance Legends, Vol. 3)
Test of the Twins (Dragonlance Legends, Vol. 3)

Review:After reading the cronicles then the first two books of the legends, I was on the edge of my seat for this one. This book did not let me down, it was great. Picking up from the end of "The War of the Twins" the start of the book leaves you with a lot of questions. It hardly makes since. After the first couple chapters you realize whats going on and from then on out its amazing. If you really are a true Dragonlance fan this book should not take you long. It took me five days to read it, and... Read more

Of Bees and Mist: A Novel
Of Bees and Mist: A Novel

Review:This book was strange. The setting was beautiful and the author had a real talent at imagery; places and characters came vividly to life in my mind. Parts of this tale were enchanting and magical, while other parts were so heavy-handed with metaphor that I found myself irritated. I'm usually a fast reader, but this book took me weeks to finish because I wasn't drawn into the story. Not terrible, but nothing I feel the need to gush about or recommend to friends. Read more

A Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy (Their Dark Valkyrie Book 1)
A Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy (Their Dark Valkyrie Book 1)

Review:This is a great book that I devoured very quickly. Now I just have to wait for the next one to find out what happens to Ari and her gods.

Ari is doing her best in a dog eat dog world. Though she often thought she might come to a bad end she did not expect it to be in the form of a crazy guy going the wrong way on a one-way street. Jeepicide. She wakes up to the sight of five people looking at her naked body. What the?? The four guys were good-looking and all, but jes. When she catches a g... Read more

Prince of Outcasts (A Novel of the Change)

A review of the latest entry in a long-running series is probably one of the hardest to write. There is a lot of summarizing of the entire series, and even if you want to recommend the individual novel, you usually have to warn people they may want to start at the beginning of the series rather than with this specific book. Luckily, Prince of Outcasts by SM Stirling gave us something that is able to stand on its own somewhat and has taken the Emberverse series ... Read more

Warriors
Warriors

Review:I bought this collection of stories primarily for the George R.R. Martin "Mystery Knight" story, which is easily the best of his Dunk and Egg stories. Now, reading through all the other great stories on here I haven't found one bad one yet. Each story is gripping, well written and truly unique. I highly recommend Warriors. Read more

The Sea Peoples (A Novel of the Change)
The Sea Peoples (A Novel of the Change)

Review:This series continues the Emberverse story from Prince of Outcasts. I would recommend reading through the first and third stories of the King in Yellow (yes, that one) before reading this book; it isn't necessary, but you'll get more out of this book if you do. Read more

First Lord's Fury (Codex Alera Book 6)

Review:the development of the characters, in particular the main character over the series was truly well thought out! I will miss Tavi for his growth, strength, and hope that Jim Butcher created. How ironic that I didn't want to start reading this series after I was finished with the Dresden files!

I miss them BOTH now!

please, please bring them both back...

I'm sitting here, right now feeling like an addict without no stuff.

your a young man Jim. give it to me! Read more

Review:This is my second time through the series. I find I appreciate these stories and pick more details out the more I read them. I love fantasy and I can easily place myself in these stories. I have lent these out to numerous friends who have also enjoyed them and recommend them to any fantasy reader. I'm off to purchase the Harry Dresden series! Enjoy! Read more
