The Wit & Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister (A Song of Ice and Fire)
The Wit & Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister (A Song of Ice and Fire)

Review: Though Tyrion is one of my favorite characters, this was disappointing in that there was no new material - just quality quotes from Tyrion. Not a bad deal, just not what I expected. This might be a good coffee table book. Read more

The Graphic Novel (A Game of Thrones) - The Sworn Sword
The Graphic Novel (A Game of Thrones) - The Sworn Sword

Review: This graphic novel is fantastic. I've read ASOIAF multiple times, but these are my favorite parts of the story. It's all there for me. Good plot, good characters, good art. It's just fantastic. The only bad part of this whole experience was the Comixology app. It's hot garbage, but I won't hold that against the actual graphic novel.

If you like the novels, you'll probably love this. Read more

The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle
The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle

Review: First and foremost, this is exactly what it claims to be...I have knocked it two points, because it really isn't very long, and frankly overpriced for what it is. The art is fine to good. The story is a good short story quality piece, that is a nice fun read. Did I mention it was short? Read more

Jim Butcher's Dresden Files: Ghoul Goblin
Jim Butcher's Dresden Files: Ghoul Goblin

Review: Purchased for my husband who has read both of Butcher's series and his short stories. He read this in one night because it is set up like a commic book which I did not know when I purchased and I don't think is clear in its description. He liked it but would rather have had a regular book with more content and longer reading time. Read more

The Last Unicorn
The Last Unicorn

Review: I finished this a while back, but just haven't been able to find the words to leave an intelligent review. So, I'm not going to try to leave an in-depth one. If you're a child of the eighties, or maybe even slightly later, you probably have seen the animated production of this at least once. Even so, I think you'll find taking the time to listen to or read this story to be time well-spent. It's a wonderfully lyrical, magical story. I really enjoyed the author's narration on the unabridged a... Read more

PopularMMOs Presents A Hole New World
PopularMMOs Presents A Hole New World

Review: My 8 year old son saved his money and bought this book. He paid me and I ordered it. He counted down the days and hours until delivery. When it finally came he had no interest in his Xbox or Netflix or YouTube. All he wanted to do was read this book. When he was done he wouldn't put on his bookshelf that he shares with his 4 year old brother. It now lives in a special spot in his dresser under his jeans. Anything that gets my kids face away from screens and promotes reading is a 5 star win. Read more

Death Note Box Set (Vol.s 1-13): Volumes 1 - 13
Death Note Box Set (Vol.s 1-13): Volumes 1 - 13

Review: I am rating this box set as a matter of content rather than story.
When I started reading manga number thirteen, I noticed in the beginning of the pilot, the pages were fold.
I wish I could type "I receive it in perfect conditions" but it was not the case with my box set. Read more

Everything you Need to Start Drawing Right Away! (Christopher Hart's Manga for the Beginner)
Everything you Need to Start Drawing Right Away! (Christopher Hart's Manga for the Beginner)

Review: I recently bought this for my niece as a birthday gift, she loved it.
The only thing I was upset about was when I received the package, on the cover of the book at the corner, it was ripped. I wish whom ever handled the book, would've handled it with a little more care. Read more
