Review:The first stroy arc of Bill Willingham's Fables was very good, though it was also an introduction to the characters. Now that we are familiar with Snow White, Bigby Wolf, Rose Red, and the other prominent members of Fabletown, the story can serve as the focus. That doesn't mean that new characters aren't introduced (they are) or that there isn't any character development (there is), but Willingham has more room to play with his creations.
Set just after the events of Legends in Exile, J... Read more
Review:This comes with the Bigby War Stories & Mean Seasons story arcs... Along with 1001 Nights of Snowfall. Now don't get me wrong it's all great, it's just Mean Seasons is the only arc that actually pushes the story forward, and that's only 4 issues. So you get plenty more Fables, but not much more for the ongoing story. For that, see Book 5 (Best arc so far is in that!). But if you love Fables this is an obvious buy. Read more
Review:I love what he has done with these childhood stories. He's made them GROW UP just like we who have listened to the stories all this time have grown up. It's fantastic and hilarious and shocking. Great job, man. Read more

Review:Black Panther has always been a deep character. Ta-Nehisi Coates has elevated the scope of the characters story to one that invites the reader to dive deeply into the culture of Wakandan life and does not seek to gloss over the land as utopian but a completely developed country, full of intrigue, intelligence and yes sometimes violence. Review:This felt like pretentious noir, like an action screenplay. "Caught in some variant of that abstract..." What? Come on, give me a break! This is about a stunt driver who also drives for guys robbing pawn shops, etc. He also does a number of cold blooded murders. It is my humble opinion that noir tends to get over-rated by the critics. They love the genre and noir authors are getting away with murder. Read more
Review:Bisco is still very good at romantic comedy in this manga. Things went as I thought (Tamaki and Haruhi getting together), but it happened in a surprising refreshingly funny way. Also, I think this volume is thicker than the other Host Club Volumes; I have more than half...so, I compared. There are peeks into all the main characters' futures (and some of the secondaries).
