Review:Batman fascinates me and Frank Miller's ability to capture the Caped Crusader is unsurpassed. This work features great storytelling and terrific illustration work. This is not to be missed by Batman fanatics. Read more
Review:A very interesting, exciting story of the Dark Knight and his sidekick. Very well written, nicely drawn, and brutal. In this one the Boy Wonder, Robin faces Batman's darkest enemy, the Joker, and he might not be able to win against him. It's a true classic, I highly recommend to those who love Batman at his best. Review:My friends have been telling me about this for years but I never really paid attention to them but when I got amazon and saw this in my recommended I said "why not" it was a sound investment. Would buy again. Read more
Review:I was pretty disillusioned after TDKSA, so I didn't have very high expectations going into this one. I really was pleasantly surprised (with a small exception) by this book. I liked that I was able to follow the plot without any research, since it's been a while since I was caught up with my comic reading, and I liked the team-up aspects. I loved seeing the characters which so defined my early life (Atom! Hal!) and reading about them doing what they do best. I assumed it would be a set up a... Read more
Review:Hush is such a great villain in my perspective and he just provides a certain side to the Batman universe that is needed. Since it was his first appearance it showed people a new villain that can make Batman actually afraid of what he does. Read more
Review:"Batman: Under the Hood, Volume 2" collects the concluding installments of the initial "Red Hood" storyline that originally appeared in the ongoing "Batman" comic book series (Batman #'s 645-650, to be specific), as well as a lengthy "Batman Annual" that reveals in detail how the Red Hood and his supposedly deceased alter ego came to be.
Like the first volume of this storyline, this one contains solid, entertaining superhero storytelling, no more and no less. I will say that it was a lit... Read more
Review:First off, according to what I've read - This was written BEFORE Dark Knight. This isn't some kind of tie-in, although the use of the scars as a smile make it seem so.
This book is proof that Azzarello has a truly amazing, unique take on Batman's world, continuing his treatment after his brilliant Broken City arc (a must read for Batman fans) This one was written outside of normal continuity though, which for non-geeks means that it's not the "normal" Batman world, its a unique adaptatio... Review:Great for any Batman fan, especially those of childhood age! My 5-yr old son loves this book. He enjoys flipping through the pages and asks for help reading it very often. It's great for keeping him entertained while also exposing him to early reading. Great book overall and I'm so happy we found it for him. Bonus, it's fun for adults to read, too! Read more
Review:TL;DR: Better than Goosebumps, but don't expect too much. It's like a Steven King novel that gets a little silly in some places; which still makes it almost on par with Steven King.
The stories have a monster-of-the-week teen-horror feel with small threads that run the length of the story. I enjoyed it for the most part and I can't point to one specific issue that lead to me not enjoying the whole thing. Maybe the evils of the world got a bit too ridiculous near the end; although those de... Read more
