Winter Wolf held my attention all the way through. I could not put the book down. I fell in love with Kat and Bass. Kat was very relatable in her feelings and how one would act with the hardships she was dealt. Bass was sexy and alluring. I've always been one to like the bad boy. I can't wait until the second book in the series is released.

I really enjoyed this book. Bass is wonderful. I felt bad for all the turmoil and pain that Kat had to go through but the story was a wonderful one. Well written and in the end it was happy. A great shifter romance.

This book was incredibly juvenile. The female lead, Kat, drove me crazy with her constant temper tantrums (The yelling at her grandma?? Not cool) and selfishness. I get it, some major crazy changes have happened, but it's hard to connect with a character who handles it so poorly. Yelling at people when she doesn't agree with their opinions, doesn't make a girl a strong bad-a** leader; it makes her annoying and petulant. Certain things weren't explained, and others made no sense at all. Example... How exactly did her dad flip a car while he was going slow enough to turn in their driveway?? Skidding on ice going 5-10 miles per hour isn't going to flip a car and catch it on fire. The writing just wasn't polished. Their were too many things that were constantly brought up that just felt awkward, when I'm pretty sure they were meant to describe why Kat felt the way she did. As the reader, I don't need to be told, repeatedly, that Kat grew up in the "real world", and that's why she isn't okay with people being killed on a regular basis. Anyone reading this type of book should be old enough to make the connection on their own about why she feels the way she does. Would I recommend? Unfortunately, no. The writing just wasn't very good, the fight scenes lame, the love story not that great, and the whole plot under-developed.

He storyline isn't original or groundbreaking, but it's a storyline that's worked for many. The execution though was lacking. The author seemed to rush through everything. The protagonist is a brat, and possibly bipolar. I get the whole bond/mate thing causes them to fall so deeply in love in 5 minutes but the relationship is hardly believable. Basically it all lacked depth. Sometimes random names would be thrown out there like you were supposed to know who the character was even though they'd never mentioned it. You find out 2/3 of the way through the setting, and about the same time you randomly find out Bass's age. It felt like listening to someone else on the phone and just getting one side of the conversation.

I really liked this book for what it was: an adolescent, paranormal romance. Much like a PG-13 movie, it has a few scenes that are more adult oriented but nothing too over the top. I really love Kat as a protagonist. I have kind of been in her shoes with the biological father twist, and anger that intense is really the first way you feel. I wish she would have made Cage a bit more likeable, so that you want to sympathize with him more. He was ultimately the biggest loser here, but I almost didn't care about his pain at all.
It was somewhat predictable, but overall it was very well written. I did, however, HATE the narration in the audio book because she makes all the characters sound almost identical.

Didn't like her attitude, her lack of respect for the people around her. She acted like a 12 year old spoiled brat and not an 18 year old young adult. Completely shocked that she kept freely hitting Jackson even after discovering the thruth about him. I liked the other characters and felt bad they were stuck with her. She kept talking about growing up in the real world, but completely put it to shame with her attitude and lack of respect.

Great book! I've volunteered to review this book for United Indie Book Blog. This is the second book in the New Dawn series. This is Nico and Olivia story. I love the characters in this story. This is a story that clearly shows how no matter how much a person is best down they can rise up and become a winner. Wolf Dancer has everything in it action, adventure, romance, survival. I highly recommend this book. I read this book in a few hours. Couldn't stop reading it.

I thought the story was excellent. The characters were believable and the conflicts were great. The timeline and emotional content were riveting. My small complaint that it wasn't a little more spicy in the romance department. I commend the author for the overall excellence of his story telling skills. The readers are in for a treat?.

I really love werewolves and I’m always looking for some books about them.
After reading “Winter Wolf” I strongly recommend it to all werewolves’ lovers.
The author calls them shifters because they can change whenever they want, not only with full moon.
This book seems to me a sort of “Romeo and Juliet” in werewolves version.
There are two packs: Run River and and Dark Shadow.
They are enemies from so many time, they don’t remember which pack started the war.
There are two Alphas that have lost their wives cause of the war. The Run River’s Alpha gave up his daughter, Katalina Winter, to a human family when she is a newborn to keep her safe. The Dark Shadow’s Alpha instead grew his son, Sebastian Evernight, with hatred and violence to kill her.
What happen if Kat and Sebastian are soulmates?
What happen if Kat seems to feel herself foreign both the human and werewolves’ world?
Katalina is a strong girl, even if she has just lost her human parents. She is brave, loyal and really mature for a 18-years old.
On the other hand, Bass (aka Sebastian) is strong and a very expert fighter but he isn’t unbreakable. Despite this he defends his mate without fear cause he loves her in a way I really envy.
I like the werewolves’ world the author created. Shifters live far from human’s world, so they think and act in a very different way. Besides Shifter is a very divided society, there are the pureblood and the others. Some pack like Run River are advanced, some, like Dark Shadow, are like barbarians.
Katalina is a shifter, a pureblood, but she’s also a girl who lived for her first eighteens with humans, so she brings a breath of fresh air in a world too close and fixed on ancient rules.
I think this is an amazing story and I hope to read more by Rachel M. Raithby.

This book would probably be more enjoyed by middle school girls. The characters are shallow and there isn’t much depth or build to the story line. There isn’t much suspense. It’s actually quite predictable. If it wasn’t for the good performance of the narrator I can’t say I would have finished the book. It did get me through my exercise routines.

This book seemed like it was written by a teenager. While the dialogue was decent, there's really not a whole lot to the development of characters, a very thin plot that needed a LOT more work/ eat to it, so the authors really needs to attend some writing workshops or take a class or two. Super teen/angsty without at least the schlock of a teen/angsty YA book. Just meh.

The werewolf tale always intrigues, and Winter Wolf gives it a 21st century setting answering, when does someone shift to being a werewolf? A fun and intriguing story that puts a girl in the middle of warring wolf packs of the night. Don’t read at the full moon!

20 words required...wonder how many reviews are lost because readers who LOVE a book don't want to shift to writer mind set immediately after finishing it.
Love book gulped it down. Great characters. Can't wait to recommend to a friend!

So cheesy and predictable. Too many cliche’s and gag-worthy “romance”. Maybe this just isn’t my genre, but all the painfully sappy lines had me cringing the whole time. The concept had potential, but the dialogue was horrendous, and there were at least a few times when the action wasn’t even spelled out correctly. A main character dies but the book didn’t actually state that he was actually killed. The story just moves on after an attack was described as if he’s dead.

This book covers it all. From tragedy to suspense and then love. This is definitely a page turner. If you are a reader that imagines yourself as one of the characters then this is the book for you. I will definitely read the rest of the trilogy.

Review:
Points:
Plot: Twists and Turns
Mood: Adventurous
Pace: SteadyCharacters: Developed
Writing: Great
Level of Violence: Mild Violence. Battles between groups of people.
Sexual Content: Young Adult leading into New Adult.
Thoughts:
I really liked the plot of this one! From the very beginning, it drew me in and kept me reading to see what happens which I find is fantastic. Not many books do that, but there was something about it that kept me reading. Katalina did get a bit on my nerves, however her actions was understandable in some situations. Bass was very interesting. I think it would have been better if we seen more of Bass point of view. He just comes out of nowhere and said that he isn't going to kill her and I was thinking "who was this guy?" "Where did he come from?" It was explain later though. I felt the book was 3 stars. I liked the story! I just think somethings need to better explain and somethings to be left out. they would say stuff and I have no idea where it came from. I was wondering if I was still the same book. I felt very neutral about this book in this situation.
Questions:
-Will I Recommend this book? Yes.
- Will I continue on with next book? Yes.

Rachel Raithby does it again! A brilliant shifter adventure!
Winter Wolf kicks off Raithby’s new shifter series, A New Dawn, with an action packed new world and yet another strong, intelligent female lead.
On her eighteenth birthday, Katalina’s world is literally turned upside down when tragedy strikes while out with her parents. Things only get worse when she wakes up in an unfamiliar place—long hidden secrets are revealed and to make the situation even more bizarre, the people explaining her new life to her are total strangers.
I could not put this book down! There is just enough mystery and suspense to keep you turning the page. The characters are full of life and at times hilarious; the way Katalina adapts to her new world and special abilities are as realistic as you would believe someone to be after being told, “Oh, you’re actually a wolf. Try it!” I had many laughs and many heart-wrenching moments during this read and thought it to be absolutely perfect for anyone looking for a great Young Adult read for themselves or anyone they know. There is one *almost* steamy scene but it’s nothing to worry about with your older teens reading; it’s a really cute, and heart-melting scene!

It was a beautiful book. I love the shifters, how in their life it's just life. To Katalina, it was odd, but they all kind of helped her though it. The charters I think were amazing. They have their own unique, and special personality, it fit them very well. I loved it, it was awesome to read, I'm curious to read on!!

This book does not have a good beginning. Everythinh seems a little bit jumbled up, but the only reason for that i think is that main character has just been kidnapped. By the middle of the book i really found my self rooting for all of the characters.
I can't wait to read the next one!

This book was wonderful! I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance. It has the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed that the author didn’t hesitate to jump to the point, although she added the perfect amount of detail to latch you onto the characters. I couldn’t stop reading after the first page!

This is just okay. 'Blood & Chocolate', an actual werewolf story, was much better. That actually talked about werewolves. It takes more than just another stupid 'hot' guy to make a good story. Also, character development is unnecessary, and so is sex. There's a lot of lies in these reviews, and check your typing! Some reviews here are badly written! Anyway, not one of the better books. 'Blood & Chocolate' & 'Twilight' are MUCH better!

I felt that the author started this in middle school. Character development was weak with each character. I couldn't use the excuse that they were teenagers cause they all were poor characters. The connections that katalina made with each character felt rushed. It was as if this was a Disney story with Romeo and Juliet. It was too much romance and not enough wolf.

I absolutely could not put this book down! Before I realized it the night was almost over and the clock showed 4:00 AM. The dreams I had afterwards were magnificent. I can see where the author could improve in some aspects as others have stated but I absolutely loved this novel.
