I could not put this one down. Fascinating how she made diverse characters come together in a believable way. Cherise carried the theme from book one to this book. This story stands alone so can be read without the previous book.

This was a good science fiction story. It was about werewolves and shapeshifters. The story is about a girl that was found in a forrest and does know who here parents are. She becomes aware of her heritage while visiting a cabin in a forrest.

As always, this book was nothing short of spectacular! I loved the characters both good and bad. Ofcourse I loved Bree and Zeb and Shay, but Thrya was such a well written villain. Oh, and as always the book was hot, hot, hot!

Differing opinions are what make the world an interesting place, but I just can't understand why "Winter of the Wolf" is so popular. It is so unrealistic and repetitive that it was difficult for me to read without laughing. The heroine is the punching bag for every bully around and then elicits sympathy and protectiveness from the heroes who care about her when she ends up all beat up. She just can't catch a break! It's a good, albeit old and over used, strategy for developing relationships however, it is used so many times in this book that I begin to think its the only strategy the writer knows how to work with. Also, the heroine, after experiencing a traumatic experience at the very beginning of the book, lets the heroes, actually strangers at the time - into her space with little, if any, hesitancy at all. This is very unlikely. There are so many really good books out there to read in this genre and others, I would recommend reading all of them before "Winter of the Wolf".

I could have picked any one of Cherise Sinclair's books and given her an accolade, cause... it's Cherise Sinclair and everything she writes is awesome. Seriously, though, this author never disappoints. Her books are always well written, with strong plots and interesting characters and you can't help but be pulled in from the first page.
Winter of the Wolf is a great example of a story that, for me, has the right alpha male vibe, without needing any of the trappings of BDSM. Not that there's anything wrong with the BDSM trappings, Cherise Sinclair does those well too. Just that this story was more focused on the paranormal and menage, but still had the right alpha feel. Reading this book I was immediately pulled into the magical world Cherise described. I really enjoyed the details and that Cherise stayed true to wolf nature and delved into pack dynamics throughout the book, even when it didn't bode well for the main characters.
It's not a light story, there's a lot that happens here that is sad and gory and unfair. Issues of sexual assault come up, as well as abuse of power and bullying. I obviously don't like those things, but I liked reading about the way that the characters dealt with these issues. How they came together, how they struggled and overcame. I appreciated that Cherise didn't gloss over the abuse and showed how it can be devastating and how it is possible to overcome even the worst with the right partner(s) and determination on your side.
And while we're talking about partners... let me just say that when Shay and Zeb decide to turn on the heat, clothes come off. The sensuality was so intense and so sweet at the same time. It was so well written that I had to hold the book one-handed. ;-)
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal, sexy menage, alpha male heroes who have the right combination of dominant, bad ass and scary without ever being mean, and sometimes frustrating and feisty heroines who think they can solve the world's problems by themselves without having to ask for help (yeah, that drove me a little batty sometimes, but don't worry Zeb and Shay straighten her out and that's fun to watch... or well read).

Whether you are interested in erotic BDSM, sci-fi or paranormal, Cherise Sinclair is always my top pick and number one suggestion. From her first published novel to the newest, Winter of the Wolf, she has left me entranced and unable to put her books down. Her characters have explosive energy, sex appeal, and magnetism. The plot is always gripping, leaving the reader in suspense over and over until the very end, with twists and turns even after you think you've got it figured out. Settings are beautifully vibrant and well written in Cherise's novels, and did I forget to mention the sex scenes? Well, lets just say that a cool beverage should be kept handy while reading her seductively arousing tales.
I have read all of Cherise's books (several times over) and never been disappointed, but I have to say that Winter of the Wolf was one of my favorites. Magic and mystery abound with two tortured, lonely bad boys and an equally wounded heart in our heroine. Shay, Zeb and Bree find friends, family and a home in Cold Creek, things that have been sadly lacking in their lives. Their story is erotic and exciting, at times funny, and overall heartwarming. The worst part about reading Winter of the Wolf was coming to "The End" and knowing that I have to wait before the next novel is released. Please hurry, Cherise!

I really cannot say enough about Cherise's novels except that they are excellent. She writes with such compelling honesty and clarity. I get all her characters and they move me. I want to read and reread her books because they are just such good stories. The storyline and the sexual tension between the characters is so balanced. The lives and the lifestyles mesh seamlessly in her books. This one is great. I love the shifter world she's building and the fact that she's building us a storyline surrounding this community where she can expand into other characters and extend the series. Not sure it will overtake the Shadowlands but it is just a pleasure to read.

Winter of the Wolf by Cherise Sinclair
This was a good addition to this series. After reading Hour of the Lion I was so looking forward to Zeb's story and this book didn't disappoint me.
"Home isn't a place; it's people." This is the quote that describes this book for me and what Zeb, Shay and Bree discovered in this story.
