This story started out ok. I was interested partly because I was a pilot for over 30 years. As it progressed the book became a story about a 14 year old that grew to be a rich playboy jerk who was directionless and so indulgent.

Very entertaining and exciting throughout. I have lived in Israel and the depiction of life in Israel is accurate. HOWEVER, if I were the author, I'd demand that the store employ better copywriters/proofreaders for their Kindle books. Including this book, I have read about 20 Kindle books and ALL of them have had horrid typos throughout.
the store's customers are not expecting these Kindle books to read like a quickly dispatched email, full of typos. Give us our money's worth and edit the Kindle editions as well as a REAL publishing company!

Smith has that special ability to stir emotions while you read. His books are not only colorful and completely descriptive, but they provide equal doses of human emotion at a base level while giving you an exiting ride as his novels unfold. ,

best book that I have read from Wilbur Smith, his detail is always on point but with this book he has outdone himself. Be sure to read the last page very carefully because you can come away with different scenerios.

Wow! What a wonderful emotional ride Wilbur Smith has conjured up this time. I have read many of his books and think that this is by far the best for me so far. At 80% I just could not put it down, and had to finish it before I did; and then I just sat there for a few minutes, trying to take in what I had just experienced. I don't know of any other writer who can take me there in such a masterfully descriptive way Wilbur Smith does. The sights, the sounds, the emotions - he is a true artist. Recommended to anyone who is up for the intensely emotional journey Mr Smith takes you on.
