Right when you think Ms.Ashley just simply can't keep writing such great stories, here come's another one. Simply loved this book. Spent all day on the couch engrossed. Justice and Deke were just fantastic. As usual, great chemistry. She brought back all characters from the Colorado Series, one of my favorites. it was great catching up with them all. I will always love how she brings music into her stories, and this was no exception. In fact, made it great! Simple Man! Work Song! Come to Me! All fantastic picks. This book actually made me get teary eyed. Highly highly recommend it! Can't wait for the last one about Wood. Also fingers crossed we get more from Chaos series another one of my favs! Clear a day and let Justice and Deke take you away.....

Another great story from Kristen Ashley. She gets me every time. I also love reading about the other characters from other books, seen from different perspectives. Keep it up KA, you make my world a better happier place.

As always, Kristen Ashley delivers another fantastic book! Once I began, couldn't put it down! I always love the length of her books, in Bounty it gives the reader much more time to fall in love with Deke and Justice.

I've read all of KA's books and love them all but, for me, Bounty has more depth, even more feeling and passion than is already there in her other books. As always, I can't wait for her next book...but the direction her writing is going in, it will be worth the wait :)

I love every book in this series. By far one of my favorites! The fact it revisits everyone in Carnal endeared this book to me. Kristen is one of my favorite authors and I just wish she would write faster!!! Loved it!

It was an excellent book to end her series with. I really enjoyed this series from Kristen ashley. I love every series of hers that I have read including this one and I like how it tied in with her rock chick series.

Oh my! I knew I'd love Deke's story and I was not wrong. What I didn't know was that Justice would become one of my favorite heroines. We've had the Rock Chicks and Stella and the Gypsies, who all, well, ROCKED. Justice had a self-proclaimed "poet's soul" and she and her music took my heart. Funnily, we didn't hear of her rocking out to tunes or playing gigs (until the end), but music and those who make it was the backbone of the story. I loved it!

KA is an automatic buy for me. A couple of the reviews claimed this was just a rehash of several of her other stories. If so, sign me up. I didn't see it that way at all. It was a love story with conflict but that can be said of all romance books. For me, there was laughter and tears. I've said this with other KA books...if the story makes me feel a variety of emotions, I can't ask for more. KA, You Rock!!

Classic Kristen Ashley! This newest tale in the Colorado Mountain Man series doesn't disappoint. Deke and Justice are awesome! I can't wait for Wood and Maggie's story! Don't make us wait to long please!

First let me say that I am a big Kristen Ashley fan. I have bought and read everything she's published, several of them more than once, and I pre-order every book at the earliest opportunity. One of the things I like best about Kristen is how prolific she is, and how quickly she turns out books so her fans are not kept waiting too long for the next juicy story.

That said, it would be worthwhile to wait a few more weeks to have an editor, or even a friendly high-school English teacher, check to see that the book is written in standard English before it is released.

This is not one of her best books. I liked the characters, although it is getting harder to distinguish them from many of their predecessors (a half-dozen or so from earlier books appear in this one). The plot is ok, but there is a weird episode at the end for dramatic effect that had no real build or foreshadowing and seems entirely artificial. Maybe the drama could come from the characters' self-searching rather than a random crime? Maybe the hero could have struggled a bit more with balancing his alpha maleness and falling for a famous rich girl? Is it realistic that there were no battles over money or who pays for what? No bruises to the male ego after the initial hesitation? Everything is easy for this couple from the beginning -- except for the crimes that just keep happening in what must be the most dangerous town in Colorado history.

But the real problem with this book is the writing -- putting together sentences in English. I understand that the characters speak in a colloquial, ungrammatical style, and that's fine. But the author, in narration, should be able to string words together in a way that does not leave the reader trying to figure out what the hell she means. Here is a sentence (standing alone as a whole paragraph, in the Kristen Ashley style) from Chapter 2:

"A change of scenery at a time that was much more time than I usually gave it that I'd take it."

What?? What does that mean?

Here's another, from Chapter 5:

"Following the noises, I found him in the powder room which it was clear upon stopping in the doorframe he’d just begun to start with the sheetrock."

That sentence is screaming for a red pencil. There are so many other tortured sentences that I had to go back and re-read frequently just to try to understand what the author was trying to say. The poor writing definitely got in the way of her story telling, which is her real strength.

So, I am looking forward to the next book, but I hope an editor reads it before I do.....

I'm not sure that it's possible to read a book by Kristen Ashley and not be moved. Her characters are real and I want to be a part of their family. I want to live where they live. I want to find the type of love her characters have found. Thanks again for another great one.

This book did not a disappointment. Been waiting on Dekes story forever. Characters were great. Story line was excellent. Do wish the epilogue had been a bit more detailed though. Overall a great read. Loved it.

I love all of Kristen Ashley's books. There isn't one that I did not thoroughly enjoy. The characters are so fully developed you feel like you know them personally by the end of the book. She makes Colorado sound like the best place on Earth.

You get to a point where you think KA's books can't get any better and then she does it again. I'm not a book reviewer, so I can't even do this justice, but just WOW! This story touched my soul in a way I won't forget. You feel the love between Deke and Jussy way down deep, and just hope to God that you find that for yourself one day. And...the songs that KA includes in this book are just perfect giving you the "atmosphere" of "where" she wants to take you. Thank you KA for another wonderful book. I'm not sure how you were able to let D&J go to end this story. I love all of your books, but do believe this is my favorite of all.

Everyone who knows me understand that KA is my favorite author and with Books like BOUNTY it's easy to see why! We met Deke in earlier books in this series. He is a traveling man yet seems to always be there when his friends need him. Helping to rescue Lauren in SWEET DREAMS or taking TY's back in LADY LUCK he's been around for awhile.
But Deke truly comes into his own in BOUNTY and you will fall in love with this mountain man. You'll meet "Jussy" a sweet , tough, road weary ,daughter and granddaughter to rock and roll legends, rock and roll chick ,herself. She knows she has been blessed with great bounty but that she's missing what she truly needs....a place of peace.
She and Deke are so different yet so perfect for each other and BOUNTY is about their journey to each other . This journey is so perfectly poignant that I truly couldn't put it down and hated when it ended but that is the way of all KA's books.
BUY THIS BOOK! You will adore it!

I enjoyed this book immensely and catching-up with everyone in Carmel.. That was my favorite part.. I didn't love this couple as much as some of the others.. I couldn't quite connect with Justice until the end and I have a Gypsy Soul.. I found myself wanting to see Tate and Lauren more..I loved how we got to see Krys and Bubba and Joe Callahan.. I am glad beautiful Deke got his story though. I love Wood and his beautiful soulful wisdom.. I cannot wait to get his story. I was more drawn in towards the end of the book.. I hate leaving Carmel and it's people behind.. I would love to go and sit at Bubba's and gave a cold one.. Then head over to Colt and February and have a cold one at Jack & Jackie's...

“I tossed my purse on the table and set my drink there. And I felt the bleed. He’d never speak to me. I’d never known his name. It was him. Only him. But even if there was another him in the miracle of life, I couldn’t have that him either. I’d never have that him.”

“That’s it, Deke. I’m a lucky girl. Blessed. Given so much bounty, it’s almost embarrassing how much God likes me. But He must really like me because I have all I have and He also gave me you.”

“F*** yeah, she was happy. Happy to be with him. Christ, he wanted that for her every breath she took. Wanted it in a way he knew he’d break his back for it, kill anyone who took it away.”

“My less was more. I was living and all I had to do was take care of it, nurture it, make it stronger. Then it always would be mine. Everything I’d ever wanted. My place in this universe. And it felt amazing.”

I have to say I loved everything about Bounty, from start to finish. In true KA fashion, Jus and Zeke’s story pulled me in from the very beginning. It was so easy to get swept away in these characters and want to know more about them. On the outside, Jus appeared to have everything she could want out of life, but she wasn’t as happy as everyone thought. Sure she had more than most, but ever since Jus’ dad passed, she was lost. So, she goes up to the Colorado mountains in the hopes that she’ll find what she’s missing. What she wasn’t planning on, was Deke. You see, 7 years ago, Jus met Deke at a biker bar, they made plans to hook up the next day, but Jus never saw Deke again. Now, 7 years later, fate has thrown these two together again. Deke knows there’s something familiar about Jus, but hasn’t quiet made the connection yet. When he finds himself working on Jus’ house, he only intends to keep things professional. He’s been wronged by the rich in the past and has no intent on getting close to Jus. But, like I said, fate has other plans. No matter how much Deke may want to fight it, he can’t fight the pull he feels towards Jus. The harder he tries, the harder he falls. Until one fateful day when Jus gets hurt, Deke finally snaps into action. Will Jus ever be able to move past the boundaries Deke has put in place? Will Jus finally find that peace that she is desperately searching for? You’ll just have to read for yourself to find out.

So, what can I tell you about Bounty? Well, I loved it. The story was everything I wanted and more. It was rich and entertaining. It kept me captivated the entire time. I loved all the characters and friendships. I loved the slow burn between Jus and Deke. I thought they had great push and pull. Both of them had tough lives, but for very different reasons. I fell in love with Deke almost instantly. Yes, he did frustrate me at times, but once I got to know him, I could help but pull for him. I wanted him to be happy, to find peace, to fall in love. And Jus was just the right woman for him. He just didn’t realize it yet. I absolutely adored Jus. She had everything she could want in life, and never asked for more. She didn’t love the spotlight and was just looking for peace and the love of a good man. Deke was perfect for her, because he challenged her and just took her as she was. Never wanting more from her than she was willing to give. It was joy watching the two of them fall on their journey.

There’s not too much more that I can say about this book, because I don’t want to spoil it, but I will say this, what an incredible journey. This book gave me everything that I wanted and more. It had just the right amount of angst, romance and steam. And of course, in true KA fashion, no story would be complete without a little action, drama and danger. And of course, you can’t go wrong with a little visit from some old friends!

KA has once again delivered an intriguing and captivating story that I could not put down. She has given me fun and entertaining characters. An alpha male that just makes your heart swoon and a story you can’t help but fall in love with.

I just finished my third read of this book, and for me it was better each time. Many of the author's other works are filled with car chases, kidnappings, and gun battles (all of which I love). Those were love stories that started with a bang and burned like an out of control fire. This book is a slow burning ember that gives off a beautiful warm glow. These are two people who have lived more miles than some of the author's other characters. These two are looking for peace, but need a little time like those embers to realize peace is possible and can be found in a person. Maybe it is because I am older with more life mileage than I want, but to me this story was beautiful, subtle and full of nuance and heart.

As with every book that Kristen Ashley writes it's bitter sweet. Because I can't wait to get them and am so excited to see what's going on with all of my old friends and meet new ones. But it always ends too soon and leaves me longing for more. I love the way she inter weaves her characters from one series to another, sometimes in a subtle way sometimes in a big way. Definitely always in an interesting way.
