Wisdom Cards

Louise Hay offers wonderful art work and positive phrases to encourage motivation, success, spirituality, etc... Her cards make great gift tags, drink coasters, or just to hand out. The cards really bring people together and are great conversation starters for big or small groups.

I have always liked Louise Hay and have used her 'cards' for very many years as the beginning of my training workshops. I find that having workshop participants 'pull' a card, somehow the individual selects a card that speaks to them personally and in so doing a calming tone emerges over the workshop in which everyone's presence is brought into the same space. The cards are a stong reminder of the importance of positive energy and thoughtful engagement. I also purchased Power Thought Cards by Louis Hay and a deck by Wayne Dyer. These were my favorites. The affirmations were clear and straightforward. These seemed a little less "preachy" and there is no mention of "god" in this deck. Anyone with an open mind seeking a little inspiration would find benefit from these cards.

My adopted Mom gave these to me several years ago and I have just ordered a set for my adopted daughter. I keep the deck near my desk and when I'm in need of some inspiration, I pull a card. It's amazing how helpful and accurate the cards have been during my own life situations.

They've gotten me through losing my parents, a couple of stressful surgeries, and a move. They really can help if you're needing a bit of sage advice from time to time.

I have been using the Power Thought cards daily, and was wishing I had more of them. Then I found the Wisdom Cards. They're different (better?). A great follow-up to the Power Thought cards. Each day is better after I read these cards and let the affirmations resonate in my soul. My favorite way to use them: Put them up where you'll see them when you're doing other things; i.e., on the computer screen while you're working or surfing, on the bathroom mirror while you're blow-drying your hair, etc. It's amazing what your mind can do when you remove any barriers.

I just received my first pack of "Wisdom Cards" from the store today. They are great! I already own the "Power Thought" cards and I would have to say that these are one step above the latter. I feel comfortable coming back to purchase more for my sister and a good friend. With the two-sided cards describing the same affirmation idea, if one side doesn't resonate with you, the other side might be a better "fit". My only suggestion would be that this gift be given to someone that enjoys and could benefit from the power of affirmation and reflection. (I know, who couldn't? But, in the hands of someone not familar with the idea of affirmations, they may be a bit confused about what to do with these beautiful cards.)

These cards are attractive. The messages are fine though hardly profound. A card deck I much prefer is the Relax Deck. The images are symbolic and the messages on the backs are deeper and more thought provoking. The Perfect Calm deck is another one I prefer over this.

I ordered these cards (2 sets) to teach the power of concentration. The students matched the cards and learned affirmations at the same time. These cards were used to teach others but are also useful to affirm what is the Truth about an individual. If you like playing cards, order the Wisdom cards and instill positive affirmations in your mind as you have fun.

The wisdom cards do provide some inspirational messages but, I found that all the cards basically say the same thing. As a result of this I'm getting bored with my deck.
About half of the deck is nicely illustrated and the other half seems to lack the art. So, if your looking for inspirational drawings this is not the deck to purchase. Don't bother with this deck. Look around.
I recommend The Relax Deck, which offers more thought provoking ideas and commentary without being to repetitive. It also contains some exercises to practice. The illustrations are also very beautiful and inspiring.

These cards are a refreshing way to start your day! I start or end each day with 3 "wisdom cards". They are very reflective and inspirational. You will enjoy them and they are a great gift for that person that has everything.
