I'm relatively new to JD Robb, love Nora Roberts. It's hard for me to believe the connection between Roark and Eve. I've read three of the series trying to really like Eve, but she just doesn't show enough emotion, let alone love for Roark. I may purchase another one at some point, but right now I'm not sure. The story line is great, all of them were, but I can't get these two characters together. I'm glad my new Nora Roberts book arrived yesterday!

I like to read series books in chronologic order so when I ordered 3 J.D.Robb books at once I went to NY To Dallas first. Then, as I read at bedtime, I decided to skip this book as the thought of little girls being raped and murdered, ( as I thought it was going to be all about )I went on to Celebrity In Death which kept referring back to NY To Dallas I realized I had missed a good one. Wow! So many surprises. Maybe the best of all her books!

So many nightmares. So many repressed terrors. Eve Dallas has lived with them all her life. And, with another twist of fate (or plot), she's in for another bout of horror. Will she and Roark finally put her demons behind her? I'm not telling. But you'll enjoy this installment in the In Death series, even if it's not titled as such.

Love all her books, this one in particular was very interesting showing Dallas' beginning. Telling the readers her background that she was afraid to visit, but with the help from her husband she was able to finally face those demons.

Left me breathless. The bond between Roarke and Eve continues to leave me breathless. It is sweet and strong, and full of love and tenderness, yet fierce and wild. Eve is strong and independent without being stupid and rash.

Lt. Eve Dallas has rank, the best squad of murder cops in the city, and the richest sexiest man alive in the possible future. This book shows that when the media and the public at large see that when someone seems to have it all, the secret life and past of even the famous or imfamous have emotions and doubts like the rest of us.

New York to Dallas is another instalment in the incredibly gripping saga of Lt Dallas... and with the ever hunky Roarke in attendance too! This story deals with Lt Dallas' roots but has a lot of twists and turns. I, always, enjoy these stories and I find them incredibly entertaining and page turning!

well written though a bit contrived. better than some of the books from the 'death' series lately. there have been a few books lately that have made eve so out of character as to be unbelievable. here she is almost back to the 'old' eve.. maturing but not becoming ms. yuppie.

The book was a nail-biting-breadcrumbs throwing thriller! My 2nd favorite after Naked in death. To really really feel Eve's pain going back to Dallas is like insane! You just want to hold her and console her the whole time! Great writing indeed!

One of J.D.Robb" great suspense books about " Dallas " the New York Detective who goes all out to catch "her man". The book was about a killer who abducted "young" girls and seduced them. Dallas had arrested him and he went to prison, but the story starts where he has escaped from prison and looking for Dallas. He contacts her and he is in Dallas TX. and he baits for Dallas to come to Dallas to save a young lady(one of the ones she had helped to save) Mystery and Suspense!

I absolutely love this book. I have the entire collection of J D Robb's In Death Series. I love the fact that these books are always unique, and it's like being with old friends after you have read every one. None of these books will disappoint. They can all stand alone, or if you become a fan like me, you are going to read them all and wait patiently for the next one to be in print.

Loved this book. Lots of action and drama. Dallas really comes face to face with her past in this one, which makes the story interesting. Although the usual gang (Peabody, McNab, Mavis, etc.) are not in this one much, it is still very good.

The J. D. Robb series is always interesting once you get used to the fanciful "sometime in the future" time line. For those who are following the Eve Dallas story line, this book goes into detail about Rourke's past.

This is the best "in-dead" book so far. Definitely a must read for all Dallas fans. New readers will not get as much from this one since there is so much back story crucial to the plot development.
I could not put his one down.
