I love the action and adventure in the Ancient Guardians books. I can't wait for the final book. Everything I find says it should be released early 2016.. I am hoping soon. So, I Will be checking every week.

gosh!! undoubtedly the best books ever! They fill every readers longing and desire. I'm so impatient for the fourth book. When will that be out? I need to know what happens to Levi and Reece and how everything else plays out.

It's been a while sense I have been able to find a series I could get lost in again. This series is a easy read. Every bit catches u and u laugh out loud at the funny bits between characters. Highly recommend young adults, teens and anyone that love a good fantasy romance novel.

Most romantic and adventurous book series ever. I love how S.L. Morgan makes the romance real and it takes time for them to fall in love but when they do it so real and pure. Not many authors can catch that intense kind of love which goes to show how amazing of an author she is.

Just as the last one - it's too cheesy. This constant "I love you" "No - I love you more" is getting old fast. Reece's developed powers are interesting and it was nice to see her progress in handling the powers but everything else remains static. I did like this one more since they went to another galaxy and faced new challenges but once again, the focus was on their 'never ending love'. I wish more time was spent on the other galaxy and the people there instead of how they 'just can't lose each other'.

I read all 3 books in one week and am consumed by this wonderful world that S.L Morgan has created. I just want to be in Pemdas with the Oxleys! I am on the hunt for where the Ancient Guardians fandom is located because I need me some fanfiction to hold me over until book 4! Where are you guys?! I have feelings i need to vent!!

The story is beautiful and full of suspense and love. One of my favorite parts has to be the royal/military traditions that the Guardians have. For example **(not really but...) Spoilers** the farewell ceremony, and the horses falling into formation before battle. Or the duties of the commander when returning from battle. I can picture it all so well it makes tear up almost every time. And also Harrison is obviously a fav!

Cant wait for the next one!! I'm hooked!

This is book 3 in the series. I thought there were only 3 books but. . . surprise, it's not. This picks up and continues the Guardian plot. I enjoy this series, but I really don't know if I will keep with it. I like the characters but the author is really destroying the plot. So much time is spent on the lovey-dovey, unrealistic relationship between Reece and Levi. The hardships the characters have to endure are only lightly touched on and quickly passed over. I really have no idea the plot. I feel like the author created a stereotypical "bad guy" just to have something to push the dead-horse of a plot toward. This series needs to be categorized as a romantic novel. Everything has gotten lost in this series. For example, in the first book the budding love was a sub-plot that we all knew would happen, but the main drive was the fight of one "ordinary" girl and her fight to save multiple worlds. That is why I continued this series. I felt that Reece had the potential to become as memoribale as Vin from the Mistborn series. Sadly it all got lost in the second book. I would save your time and just not state the series unless you are looking for a romantic novel

This continuing saga is wonderful. The only problem is the story drug slowly for three fourths of the book. Stick it out and at three quarters of the way through the book- the exciting story resumes. I am most anxious for the next book. This is a continuing saga. The story line is exciting and wonderful- except for the author dragging the story line out to fill a book with only part of the story. Would be a much much better book if each book did not drag boringly slow for such a large part of the book. This could be a excellent continuing saga if the author stopped trying to extend the number of books. This book was excellent the last one fourth of the book. I am anxious for the next book but if the story drags in the next book like this one- then it will be the last of the books I buy. It is unfortunate that a talented author decided to drag the series to sell more books. I would not mind if they all kept moving- but this book and last book drug to much to stretch the story.

The author is great at creating worlds, but the dialogue is way too stiff, and there is little sexual content, which could improve it, if it is
indeed romance. It was said to be a trilogy, but there is no sense of completion after the third book. It leaves you hanging, in fact,
while you have to wait an age for the next book.

I was extremely disappointed in this book. I loved the other 2 books and this one just fell short for me.
Firstly about 60% of it is just about Reece and Levi and their wedding and how much they love each other. 10% is about good old Harry and his arrogant ways, and the last 30% is the action we all wanted. It's as though everything happens in the last 30% of the book. I was so bored that I skipped through a lot of pages.
Unfortunately this book did not live up to what the previous 2 books promised and it's also sooooo cheesy. OMG all those deep lingering kisses.
Sorry S.L Morgan, I am a fan but this book just didn't deliver on any level.

I believe it was because I forgot how boring the first book was. It reads like a bad fairy tale or a bad romance novel. It is only nominally a fantasy or sci-fi book.

The ly's and the 'ands' and the 'thats' and other such unnecessary words have me wondering if the author was more worried about word count than quality. I have no idea how many times one can say brilliantly smiled in one paragraph next to brilliant eyes but this author did her best. Not to mention the magnificently or the shimmeringly or any number of other treacly sweet phrases and words that upset the tummy when taking in too much at one time.

These people are not real. Well, of course, they're not real as it is a fiction book but I have no sense of investment in any of the main characters. they're so perfect and so beautiful and so everything that there's no reason for me to want them to succeed as the odds are already stacked in their favor, one way or another. There's no real angst, no suspense, no doubt... just............... syrup.

I have read fairy tales and I have read romances and have often enjoy them so it's not that kind of disappointment that drives this bad review. How can one spend a multitude of pages on two days worth of honeymoon and there be absolutely no point to those pages? And, as if that's not bad enough, the author jumps to another character and proceeds with another romance.

The description for the book was supposed to be about a deceased Emperor who, it turns out, is not deceased but held captive in another universe. I'm 30+% through the book before this is ever mentioned.

Putting it down now.

To be fair, it could be because I just came away from an excellently written series that truly tickled my fancy. It had the romance but more importantly it had love, which is totally different. And the heros didn't have to be some perfect specimens of manhood or womanhood to accomplish what needed to be done, either.

For whatever reason, this book, for me, is just absolutely terrible.

The characters jump off each page Ms. Morgan has written. The writing is excellent, the story even more so. It's fluent, well written and gives the reader a little bit of everything...I think it appeals to crossover genres! I love the premise of the entire series and sincerely hope there is more to come! The dynamics of worlds, races, relationships, family, friendship, adventure and dangers...and the importance of trust and loyalty to family and friends and to duty to people unknown to the characters personally. A most definite MUST READ!!!!!!!! Each story I started, I couldn't put down till I finished it! I highly recommend every single novel/novella in this series.

What a fabulous story. Reese, Levi and Harrison are on another journey. This time they are going to another galaxy! During the battle in the last story, the Emperor was kidnapped by intergalactic beings trying to get the stone. Reese is the only one that can get him back. She has to fight everyone to prove she can do this and assure Levi. Harrison is in love, yep, the the love-em and leave-em guy is in love. The Guardian army goes galactic and meet a few new creatures.
Once again I have to applaud SL Morgan for painting a very good scene. She is very descriptive in a way that doesn't over describe or harp on details, they are just part of the story. She build scenes and characters that are full of life and leap off the pages. I can't wait until I'm able get the Fourth book. Until then, Rest easy Reese, Levi and Harrison.

***I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review**
Ms. Morgan you have outdone yourself! AGAIN! I don't even know where to begin with my review!
First of all, I've waited what feels like an eternity for this book and devoured every bit of it once I started reading it.
As with the previous books, you are instantly pulled into the book and everything around you fades away.
With that said, once again...we are drawn back into the amazing world of Pemdas! S.L. doesn't leave any detail out and I felt as though I were right there with the characters!
This book brings everything together and fills in all that gaps that Ms. Morgan left us with in the previous books!
I really don't want to give anything away, the book is THAT GOOD, so all I will say is that: You are in for a serious ride in Book 3!!!!
If you enjoy fantasy, classic (clean) romance, humor, loveable characters, enchanting worlds and something completely different from everything else out there....well all I can say is this series is for you!!!!
Please don't end this series, S.L. Morgan! Your imagination is amazing and I honestly look over my shoulder and wonder if there are really "Guardians" on Earth protecting us from the greatest conspiracy ever....Aliens!!!!

What can I say? If this were a conclusion to a trilogy, I may have had an easier time forming my thoughts and feelings into written (typed) words. Since this is not the end (THANK GOODNESS!), I now have to put some effort into not repeating what I posted about the sequel.
<b>Note: It has been two weeks since I have received a copy from Ms. Morgan in exchange for an honest review...My sincere apologies for my tardiness!=_=</b>

So in an effort to not be redundant, I will do my best to comment on something else besides the gorgeous imagery, loving characters, beautiful romance, and thrilling action...

...

How the heck am I supposed to do that?! <u>The Awakening</u> is a continuation of the awesomeness that <u>The Uninvited</u> was...or still is. I'm not going to re-tell the story (just read the book), and I don't think fan-girling will be of much help to anyone (eeek!!! This story is AMAZING I tell you! AMAZING!!!) So I have decided to share some of my favorite passages instead.

<b>1.</b> Emperor Levi putting the verbal smackdown on these jokers

<spoiler>Leaders of the Unification, as Emperor Navarre made you all aware before leaving the last council meeting, We. Are. Pemdai. We answer to no one. We will turn The Key over to no one, at any cost. If I were you, I would not take these words lightly. We served to protect, guard, and keep harmony not only in our land, but in yours as well. If there be any world that should attempt to challenge our protection of The Key, then you and your world will represent everything Armedias signified on the day the Guardians left her in ruins. That is all.</spoiler>

<b>2.</b> Harrison "pity the fool" Oxley rescuing damsels from an impudent young rogue

<spoiler>He didn’t care whether his current disposition caused any of them discomfort or not, as his sights were set only on King Maxen’s oldest grandson, the young man who was sitting between Elizabeth and Angeline Hamilton.
He stared down at the young man who looked up at him in confusion, despite having a smug grin on his face.
“Commander, could I have someone get you a chair?” he asked in an offhand tone.
Commander? Who does this kid think he is? “There will be no need for that. You can simply get up and out of mine.”</spoiler>

<b>3.</b> A most adorable creature that would be mine in a heartbeat if I lived in Pemdas

<spoiler>They laughed but were soon interrupted when Reece noticed the most adorable critter she’d ever seen approach their location. She sat up slowly, trying not to startle it. Whatever it was, it looked like a tiny bear with big, triangular ears. Its eyes were like yellow jewels, and they were overly large and round with long lashes. It was white with patches of brown and black on its fluffy coat of fur. It blinked slowly, and Reece giggled.
Levi held out his hand, and the fluffy zorflak slowly crawled over to him, his tiny wings sticking out from his back. Reece watched in amusement as the animal sat there on his legs. It reached its hand out, and its tiny, chubby fingers touched Levi’s long ones. It blinked again and made a small humming sound as it looked up into Levi’s face.</spoiler>

<b>4.</b> Said adorable creature amusing readers greatly...at Levi's expense

<spoiler>“He may be adorable, but I fear I am already growing weary of him.”
“Him?” she asked, staring into the zorflak’s large eyes.
Levi sighed. “Yes, him,” he answered, feigning annoyance. “You have rescued an orphaned male zorflak, and he and I already have an issue with each other.”
Reece rolled onto her back and smiled up at Levi’s amused expression. She laughed. “Really? What did he do to you?”
The zorflak hopped onto Reece’s stomach, bringing her attention back to him. Levi shook his head, and Reece giggled.
“Well, to start with—”
As soon as Levi began to speak, the zorflak starting singing again, interrupting him. Is he trying to get thrown off the mountain? Levi sat there, baffled that the little baby zorflak was actually competing with him for Reece’s attention. Levi went to speak again, but before a word came out the zorflak put his tiny paw to Reece’s chin as it hummed an even louder melody.
“First of all—” Levi spoke out, yet the zorflak’s humming continued to drown out his deep voice. He sighed while he narrowed his eyes at the critter.</spoiler>

<b>5.</b> Musical emotions

<spoiler>“Yes, I named him Mozart,” she answered him with a smile, “because his humming reminds me of an orchestra. He’s such a funny little guy; he has different humming sounds that tell me his needs and emotions. If he’s hungry, his hum sounds like a violin. When he’s happy, it sounds like a flute. The funniest one is when he’s sad and he hums like a cello. So I just started calling him my little Mozart. He’s quite the musician!” she laughed.
Mozart’s ears opened, uncovering his eyes, and his little arms stretched while his illuminating wings fluttered. He looked up at Levi and stared.
Levi grinned. “Welcome to your new home, Mozart,”</spoiler>

<b>6.</b> Reece getting her Michelle Yeoh on

<spoiler>Harrison swiftly advanced on her, planting a foot and throwing a straight arm punch directly at her, which she easily deflected. Harrison quickly countered, pulling her into a powerful embrace. She should have felt the pressure of the tight embrace, but she didn’t. She felt nothing but power, and she knew what her next step was. With Harrison standing behind her and the wall before her, she used it to climb it swiftly with her feet, flipping herself up and over his head and freeing herself from his grips. Before he could turn around to face her, she squatted down and swung her leg around his ankles in an attempt to bring him to the ground.</spoiler>

<b>7.</b> Our hero gone wild...Uninhibited Levi is ADORABLE!!!

<spoiler>Levi held her closer, tilting his head to the side and deepening his kiss. Reece couldn’t help but chuckle at the way he was acting. He finally withdrew and smiled at her lazily. He released Reece, brought his arms up, and clasped his hands behind his head. He leaned back and gazed seductively at her. “I could spend the ressst of my life kiss—sss—king—” He frowned in desperate concentration, closed his eyes, and then reopened them with purpose. “Kissing you,” his eyes widened, “my lady.” He gave her a silly grin.
Reece and King Hamilton tried their hardest not to burst into laughter as they listened to Levi’s muddled speech.
Levi slowly looked over at the King. “A lobedly woman, is shhhee not?” He cocked an eyebrow at him and pressed his lips together proudly.
Hamilton’s eyes glistened in humor. “The loveliest, Your Royal Majesty.”</spoiler>

<b>8.</b>Don't mess with the <b><i>KING!</i></b>

<spoiler>Levi halted his approach when the man spun Reece around and held the sharp blade of his dagger to her neck. “Come any closer, and I will destroy this creature,” he growled to Levi.
Levi said nothing as multiple options to attack the man flashed through his mind. He stood calculating as he watched the panicked expression on Reece’s face spread. Rei had Reece in too vulnerable of a position. “Take your hands off the woman now, and I will not kill you where you stand,” Levi warned him.
Levi lunged toward them before Rei could bring his gaze back from Harrison. He brought his hand to Rei’s wrist which held the blade and pivoted himself around him, giving him more of an advantage. Shocked by the attack, Rei loosened his hold on Reece and absently pulled the blade away from her neck in an attempt to swipe it at his attacker. Levi promptly gripped Reece and spun her away from the man’s strong hold on her. As he did, he pried the blade out of Rei’s frozen grip. Levi moved so swiftly that Rei didn’t have time to react. He tried to jab at Levi when he got his bearings and swung around, but Levi countered him effortlessly and twisted the arm Rei held out to him high behind his back, sending him directly to the ground. He spun him over on the ground and brought a crushing knee hard into the man’s sturdy chest as he knelt down holding the tip of the sharp blade to the man’s throat.
“Tell me now why I should spare your life?” he growled viciously through his teeth.</spoiler>

<b>9.</b> Mr. Bachelor finds love!

<spoiler>“After all of the arrogant opinions that I have shared about women in his presence,” Harrison chuckled, “I am confident this will come at a price for me.” He brought her delicate hand into his gloved one and tenderly kissed it. “However, to have your love is worth any price that I might ever have to pay.”
Her eyes locked onto his seriously. “Please, be safe.”
Harrison bent to kiss her once more, letting his lips linger for a moment before he rose up and turned to mount Saracen.</spoiler>

<b>10.</b> A wedding dress of dreams

<spoiler>The silky white dress accentuated her slender frame and flowed gracefully down before it swept into a short train behind her. The bodice front was cut square and lined with a jeweled sapphire trim that was highlighted with vibrant, miniature diamonds. Three slender strands with the same diamond and sapphire stones swept over her shoulders, glistening brightly under the lights of her dressing room.
Reece turned slightly to glance at the back of her gown again. A silk material was attached by jewels to the top of her shoulders, sweeping into a swag pattern that framed the shimmering lace material covering her back. A large sapphire jewel gathered the satin material into an intricate style at her lower back before flowing onto the floor behind her.</spoiler>

I would also like to add that the "wedding night" had some steam but was amazingly and quite impressively clean.

Of course, there is much more to the story than what was highlighted. Some very intense events take place...one in particular at the very end that has caused me undue anxiety (I believe I owe my un-thanks to the editor). Even so, I greatly (obviously) enjoyed this third installment of Ancient Guardians and eagerly anticipate the fourth. Wonderful writing Ms. Morgan! ^.^

S.L. Morgan has done it again! Just when you think you know when you think you know where the story is going, S.L.Morgan changes it up! The most intense, adrenaline impacted book yet! You feel in love with Levi, Reese, and Harrison in book 2, and I bet you thought you couldn't love them more!! Wrong! Get ready for more twists, turns and romance!! I'm vested in the Oxley family AND the PEMDI world! I can not say much more or I'll ruin the book!! You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Another brilliant installment in the Ancient Guardians trilogy. Ms. Morgan has done a very nice job creating new worlds, and even new galaxies, in which her characters live and breathe. Reece and Levi are easy to get to know and like, though I admit that Harrison is my most favorite character. There are surprises in this one, including the ending, but it is a good clean novel for anyone who likes a little romance, a little adventure and even a little science-fiction.

Ancient Guardians Series: The Awaking BY S L MORGAN

OMG because you left me hanging again I can hardly wait for book 4 ... What a fantastic captivating journey, these books has everything, from mystery, danger, drama, emotions, travel, and is very detailed. I'm an avid reader who loves to read books that I can get lost in, and the characters are brilliant, also with the vivid descriptions of the world Pemdas. I can envision it very easily. For me it was the characters. When reading I could see them in my mind as I read. Especially Reece, Levi and Harrison, I really felt like I knew them so well and love them all. I couldn't put them down I am totally hooked on this series... I would like to thank you this wonderful journey and series...This is a MUST read series

This is by far the longest book I’ve ever read. When my kindle estimated 12 hours I was sure it was wrong or that an addition was made in the form of another book or preview. But no, this book was seriously long.

This is a great series. I've read all 3 books, and have found them to be quite delightful. In book 3 there is excitement and a few surprises. The characters are well developed. The story moves forward and keeps the reader turning pages to see what happens next. I am a fan of this series and am waiting now to see what will happen in book 4. It is easy reading and yet keeps the reader involved with each character.

Fantastic! Do not plan on reading book 3 at your leisure...no way. From beginning to end there is no stopping, only the excitement for more. Reece and Levi will complete what we have all been waiting for and the intrigue continues with page after page. By far The Awakening is the best of her writing. No doubt I will go back and read all three again while waiting on book 4. Job well done. *I received this book from the author for an honest review*
