Once again Steve Berry keeps the action rolling from page one until the end. I love history, but have not really heard about the Knights of the Golden Circle. I can honestly say I learned a lot about them from this book. I really enjoyed all the scenes that took place at the Smithsonian Institute. What an interesting history. I also loved the fact that the actual Castle Curator, Rick Stamm, is a part of the book. Keep up the good work Mr Berry! Can't wait for the next one!

Historical facts, a strong cast of characters, political unrest, a dose of intrigue, and the fluid storytelling skills of a master all rolled into one. This story is a veritable treasure trove of historical Information blended with fictional action, and Cotton Malone and Danny Daniels exude charm, smarts, and determination to save the day!

Steve Berry delivers. I look forward to each new installment of the Cotton Malone series. Entertaining and educational, even exciting. I really enjoy the section at the end that explains what was fact or fiction. One of my most recommended series.

This book does everything those who love this genre would want. Escape, adventure, challenge and resolution. The only reason it lacks 5 stars is because not everyone is a Hemingway. Maybe here...but I'm not sure yet.

As usual, Berry weaves the facts with fiction and did it well. He also does a fairly amount of research on the subject at hand. However, the writing is a little winded, like his other books, making the book unnecessarily long.

While I thought the Cotton Malone series had reached it's conclusion; here we find him in search of confederate gold and a piece of his own history.

Steve Berry is a master of including enough real history, placing it in context with a flavor of contemporary event, and weaving that into an entertaining tapestry.

A good read!
