Thrillers
Review:I had a bit of a hard time getting into this book. After I finally started putting it together it was quite good. Some of the characters names gave me a good chuckle. Such as Wen Ning - which he couldn't seem to do. Then Utterly - (useless) which I really liked pulling him out of the fire, and Dypsvick - which sounded a lot like "dipstick" who seemed to have a way of coming out on top. All in all I thought this book was a fun read especially after I started giving the characters ""sounds like" n... Read more
Review:This book is entertaining and nostalgic for me, bringing back memories of my military service. Clearly the author has a great deal of first hand knowledge of the Marine Corps. The book is not written on an advanced reading level so it can be enjoyed by people who don't read a lot and/or don't want to spend time researching vocabulary (this is not a knock on the book). As such, it won't challenge many readers intellectually. Character development is well done. And the plot is interesting and... Read more
Review:Any fan of science and space needs to read this book. Besides the very well researched fiction basis of the trip out of the solar system, the facts of NASA, Astronauts lives, JSC, Clear Lake, and on and on and on are factual. I lived almost 20 years right out of the back gate to JSC by the baseball fields. It's worth reading just to get an idea of what really goes on.
I could talk all night... BUT JUST READ IT!!! Read more
Review:I found the author's writing style to be clumsy, and a bit contradictory. The author describes Ben as being "excited" by the thought that his girlfriend Jules may have become a victim during the attack at their hotel. To me, something to be excited about is something that is good, fascinating, something to look forward to. A similar case is when Reggie has to " disable" his own security system rather than "turn it off. Some reactions from the , characters are a little over the top. Why doe... Read more
Review:Anyone who has read any of Tim's books knows that he is brilliant. Not only are his stories unique, but he has a command of the English language like few other authors. Reading is a passion of mine, as well as my business, but I always learn a new word or two from Tim. In this book, I discovered the word "ensorcelled." I had never seen it so immediately learned the definition and added it to my vocabulary.
I am looking forward to more creations from Tim and hope he never stops writing... Read more

Review:Other than a few too many asides that remove the reader from the the desperate situation of the protagonist and her young son, it is a real page turner. On several occasions I found myself skimming through some of the sections that I felt distracted from the compelling story line. Read more
Review:I got so irritated with the outline of this book. I hated that it kept going back in time in the middle of Hanna's thought process. It was painful to keep reading and the only reason why I stuck it out was to see who killed Joe. Read more
Review:A missing Nazi train filled with gold, the search for a war criminal, memories of Holocaust survivors all combine to make a great read. Initially I thought it was a bit slow but about 1/3 of the way through the pace picked up and all thoughts of housework disappeared. The book is well researched and covers a period in history that must never be forgotten lest we fall into an abyss again. I've been following another author's series of action/adventure books which can sometimes leave me bored t... Read more
