This is an energizing, motivating, informative book. The tips are easy and quick to employ within a busy creative life. Give it as a gift of value. It has a friendly price and is perfect for beginning artist, crafters and makers that want to be noticed.

I bought this book thinking I might get some good tips about showing my art. It had some good ideas but never went deep enough to explain the ideas from each chapter. I enjoyed reading it but it wasn't life changing.

No matter where you are in your career, this book will have something to offer you.
Judging by the number of sentences I highlighted for future reference as well as the ideas I am already putting to practice, so far, Show Your Work is the most important book I've read this year.

I read "Steal Like An Artist" and loved it. Having just finished SYW, it was an equally instructive, written in an entertaining and informative style, read. Kleon's style is straight forward and witty! I recommend this read.

Kleon gives sound advice for the novice who wants to learn to be the expert. I really enjoyed how he streamed inspirational quotes from famous people into his formula on how be successful with sharing your work.

I felt beyond empowered by each simple thought ever shared. Beautiful. This book has the potency to talk and soothe to the creative child inside all of us. Humanity heals through heartfelt creation, and this book helped me to strengthen the friendship with me.

This book was written for me - the scary thing is, there must be a lot of me's out there for a book to be produced. As a 'share-shy' creative, Austin's book is a wealth of information and inspiration. Two things I have absorbed so far: 1) Utilise the global reach of the internet network by posting and sharing, it will surpass anything face to face networking can achieve. 2) Don't post/share anything you wouldn't want an employer or client to read.

Austin delivered again! This book made me realize that to grow as an artist, you have to share your work. It's ok for others to copy or to get insight into your creative process. The more we share the more we grow ourselves. Quick, easy read, but to the point. A must have for anyone who is creative.

The best continuation for the book "steal like an artist" we always think that being low profile is the best way to achieve a lot of goals, but bieng intelligent while showing your work could be a life changing.

Admittedly I'm a huge Austin Kleon fan. These little books read quick, and yet they're profound and have good insight for creatives. This book combined with Steal Like an Artist make a great gift for writer friends. I reread these often.

The ideas outlined in this book generate exposure without pressure. Not only that, the process offers knowledge sharing to generate interest creating a win-win for artist and consumer. The concept is genius! I love that show How Things Are Made and can be riveted watching the production of something without even knowing I was interested in the product. As a designer in the heartland I believe Mr. Kleon has helped me find a niche that just might take me where I want to go. I'm putting Austin Kleon's advice to work today!

I love these little Austin Kleon books, they're very inspiring and encouraging. This one stresses the importance of creatives and others having a web presence. It's a very quick and enjoyable little read, like his book Steal Like an Artist. I highly recommend both.

An upbeat book full of inspiration to get out there and join your craft-poetry-photography commmunity. I passed it around to a few friends. Everyone found something to think about. One person looked up a local poetry group. A great gift.

Straightforward and encouraging read. Insightful ideas about creating and sharing content in a digitally connected world. A good guide for those struggling to figure out what type of content leads to forming like-minded communities.

Easy & inspiring. Provides with tips and tricks for those looking for an audience for their work and those interested in developing momentum around what they do today.
Describes social media as a way of showcasing work and provides good guidance about the required social practices and skills to get better at showing what you do. I like how it talks about learning, doing and documenting as an ongoing proces and how it highlights the importance of sharing to get to be known for all your hard work.

This book was so practical and interesting for an "amateur" artist like me. Austin encourages internal deadlines on yourself as an artist at whatever level you're starting. No matter what art you're working on, the journey or what he calls "the process" is as important or even more important than the product. The end result will be a a whole network of people that connect and interact with the process of your creativity.
I got my money's worth.

Every author should read and use the approach in this book. It frees you to do your work, to write and create your art. Marketing becomes an extension of your writing using Austin's system. I've already starting implementing the approach and my engagement and email subscriptions are through the roof. More importantly, though, I can focus on my writing without feeling guilty that I'm not dedicating more energy to marketing.

Love the style of writing and the presentation of the subject matter. This book will soon be at home in a high school library and I expect it to be just as popular as the first 'Steal like an Artist'.

Loved, loved, loved this book. Heard about it on a podcast. Bought it electronically the same day - finished it the next. But there is so much here that I promise to revisit daily right before I show my work.

A fabulously inspiring book to get you creative stuff out there. Don't wait till it's perfect, use exhibiting, reading, performing, showing, sharing as part of the creative process. That's the stimulus I received from Austin Kleon in this book, and he provides you with many ideas and examples that make you want to get off your butt.

For a first time entrepreneur, I found "Show Your Work" to be concise to the point and it gives a good foundation to be authentic with your offerings via social media. I intend to read and re-read it as there are some key points and takeaways that I would be keeping with me whilst I am on this entrepreneurial journey. "A good read, and must read for a highly creative person" or otherwise just keeping it real!
