80 Challenges to Sharpen Your Design Skills - Creative Workshop

Having suffered a loss of creativity, I bought this book in the hopes that it would help me get that creative spark back and improve my overall skill. It helped, and in general had some good ideas, but it didn't really help solve the underlying problems. Honestly, I'd buy it used if at all.

*I am only reviewing for its format, NOT CONTENT* This kindle version is not optimized for iPad version. Some exercises require you to read text on images but it was impossible to read any text without with low resolution images.

Challenging but wonderful and very doable projects await! Be inspired, stretch your creativity and amaze yourself (along with family, friends, aquaintences, classmates, teachers and/or co-workers). It's an amazing resource to both broaden your horizons and hone your skills, especially your process. I loved it! Thank you David Sherwin!

This book its simply amazing! It is well written and the instructions are clear for every workshop. It gives you examples to compare what you have done and to improve. It also let you choose what tools or materials to use for your designs, in my case I used Illustrator and Photoshop but the instructions are so simple you can even use paper and crayons!! And above all this, the challenges are actually fun to do! :D

I bought this book because all of the reviews were so good; however, the book is not what I was looking for. I wanted something to show me SPECIFIC exercises to do in InDesign or Photoshop, but this book did not do that. The exercises were just ideas and didn't give any tips on how to execute them. I am the kind of person who is very creative and talented at design, but I could use an extra push when it comes to the technicalities of the programs. I wanted more in-depth knowledge of the programs and though exercises would be a good way for me to achieve that. Not with this book. I gave it away for free at my work because I didn't think it was worth the cost to return it.

Me and my friends purchase this books to improve our design skill and got together every sunday to practice and doing one exercise and setting a second one as homework. It's been GREAT. The experience, the exercises, the variety. Great book for both, beginners and experience designers :D
